- I've played Ark: Survival Evolved for the entire time it's been on Steam and over the years, I've picked up a LOT of skills. Whether you are just beginning or are a veteran Ark: Survival Evolved player, here are some tips and tricks I use in all of the series' I make. From the beginning of the game to the endgame.

I had an interesting early game storage idea. I tamed Dodos, named them what I needed to store, filled them up with those items and a few stacks of berries, then set them in my tiny shelter. They can hold a lot more items than early game storage containers and take up a lot less room. 😊
Fun fact. Per square footage, mortar and pestles can store more than a Smithy.
You my friend are a genius
I usually do a variation on this with trikes and stegos, less susceptible to being chomped.
@@fenriders7008 True! But also not really able to be kept in a small hut. A combo would be perfect! 😊
I always use dilos for my early game storage but dodos work too
Tip#1: Kill every Pego that comes within your peripheral vision.
Tip#2: Don't go to the swamp or the redwoods. Bob went and never came back.
Tip#3: Put the guy who leaves wood in the beaver dams in a cage until he behaves better.
Tip#4: Always tame a Thylacoleo. They make your life so much better!

Hey phlinger. Your the reason I've gotten into ark, I've been playing for about 3 years now. Thanks for all the help you've been doing for years now, and still have stayed motivated! Most TH-camrs can't do that. Good job! 👍
Just discovered this. Harvested a trilobite with a Moschops and got hundreds of chitin.
I actually don’t usually tame flyers cause I had a bad habit of not emptying my inventory but now it’s because there are more things on the ground than in the air. There’s more experience and excitement on the ground
I like to explore the map on land too lol
Did you know you can by pressing ALT and a number with a torch, bow, slingshot etc. on it the same time repair that item if the durability is not 100% without the need of opening your inventory
Good morning Phlinger! I am an old school ARK'er as well. I played Ark day one release. At the end of 2019 I had 45K hours and then stopped counting the hours. I am unsure how many hours I have now. It has been amazing journey. Epic tips fer sure! God Bless!
Closing in on 2000 hours. I knew the thief bird could turn fish golden, but never knew about prime from dodos... Thats impressive
In regards to fish baskets expiring, you can also release the tamed fish and cryo them until you’re ready and just pop them out in a water source and re basket
Just a tip ;) you can hit C and scoop up the babies with the Maewing instead of using the radial wheel.

Rare flowers won't aggro a Quetzal
Harpoon launcher, net projectile. When the Quetz goes down build a dino gate with its neck between the two uprights. Now build 3 further dino gates at 90 degrees, til the square is closed.
The quetz can't fly away. Tame it at your leisure.
You could do a mini series whereby you use a ground mount to find every explorer notes and dossiers just a thought

Also for maewings they lay every type of eggs for every tier of kibble so actually best tame to get early to be able to get best results for every play thru. Especially since you can literally tame those very early on in game.

SE corner of the desert is also a good sinomacrops area.
On the Ichtyornis, it does not need to be able to carry the target, it needs to get the KILL!

5:57 Phlinger, how much stats do you pump into the Nursing Effectuveness (official)?
Just get any maewing and lvl the nursing and use your good one for travel
Tried pelagirnis fishing, found better to put a canoe in an argents (or prefurred dino) inventory with a fishing rod you can look about while gishing as when you use the pel its locked in forward facing 90 degree's meaning stuff can jump you, yeah the dino protec, but had an alpha 150 rex jump me and killed me pel with its first bite lol
Love the vid though and had many things i learned like the pin and the first 3 things, I play solo and started just before asended got announced and refuse to buy a reskin for solo pve.

If I could add a tip to your video it would be use a canoe because scary things attack rafts out on the ocean.
You can also heal wild Dino’s with a snow owl
Will the tent work for kangaroos
9:31 once i saw a wild one of these and i thought it looked cool like a giant hummingbird from underneath and i tried taming and it took my food and ran away 😂
@phlinger phoo on your soloing the ark did you test if moschops are good cave Dino’s
Moschops in general are a highly underrated mount
Can you throw a tent over gasbags?
Any tips for non dedicated server crashing and wiping all of your Dino’s and base. Me and my brother don’t have anything left. My screen froze so I had to force quit. When I came back non of our Dino’s or houses were there :(
Honestly single player ark sucks its better to get a server at least in Ase may get better in Asa
I had no idea you could trap maeing like that, most people must not know either because the servers I've played on are littered with wooden billboards at maeing spawns
Dude, I like Thylas too, but like so many others there really is no use for them in either PVE or PVP so, I think other than you , no one really bothers to tame them.
Thylas are pretty good in caves because there small can jump have a bleed and a saddle
I don't think rare flowers work on quetzals

Smarter than using dodos as cattle
Anyone know if you can put pins on the map with a Playstation? If so how?
Open map press square or hold square. Don't remember if there's a delay, like 1 or 3 seconds. So if pressing doesn't work, hold it down. It one weird things cause multi purpose for buttons. Can be glitchy but it's great when it works. Good luck survivor!

This isnt a tip just something fun tame as many dilophasuars as you can and make an army it is alot of fun they live for the battle if leveling them you can take down massive dinos
It doesn’t take much more to tame raptors and I find them much more effective. I did have one play through where a pair of Dilos were my constant companions after the pack was slowly attrited. Those guys had seen some stuff.
