Idk why people keep saying in two weeks and you’ll be fine with the laparoscopic myomectomy. You will not be fine . Stop selling people this lie. The pain is real. I’m 2 wks post opp and had 30 fibroids removed. This is the worst pain Ive ever felt in my life. I do not feel ok. The pain is constant. I literally feel like crying everyday. Some days it feels as if the pain will never go away and I don’t want to get out of bed.
Do not let these doctors rush you to feeling like you should be ok if you’re not. It is a major surgery. Take your time off…..all of it

So sorry to heat that you're in pain. Pain can be affected by various factors including time in surgery, technique, of fibroids, etc.

The doctor gave various case-scenarios. 30 fibroids are a lot. Sorry for your situation. But be mindful that she is trying to help people at the end of the day.

I took my entire 6 weeks (had a full hysterectomy) keep my ovaries but I also get 100% of my pay while on medical leave. We have to give one bodies a chance to heal even if you're feeling great on the outside.

I'm gonna have surgery to take out my fibroids as well and I'm just so scared because ive never been under the knife 😭 does it hurt alot after the surgery and for how many days does the pain last? Also are there chances of getting the fibroids again after removing them?

Hi, fibroids can recur upto 30% of the time. I would speak with your physician about the recovery. You can also set up a fibroid coaching call with me if you'd like.

Depends on what type of myomectomy. Open vs. robotic vs. hysteroscopic. Can be up to 8 weeks. Fertility does decline with age, I would speak to your fertility specialist about your chances.
