Great video Ron. I grew up in Danang long long time ago. Every time I see a video about this city it brings a deep feeling inside of me. Bringing me back to the old days where there were only 1 bridge. We crossed river by an old ferry. Nothing much to eat but we were happy swimming in the river and the beaches. Wonderful city and wonderful people. The city has changes so much for the better.
It's great to hear from you Bt. Thank you so much for sharing part of your Da Nang experience! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. As you can probably tell, I really love Da Nang.
@@BtFromLa Thanks Bt. Actually I already did enjoy the rest of Vietnam and if you look on my channel under Playlists at the top you can find all the Vietnam videos. I'm glad you discovered the Da Nang video and hope you enjoy the others.
Da Nang was on my short list of places to retire to. Your video proved to me that it would have been a good choice. I'm very happy in Cuenca, but I really want to visit Vietnam. I want to see that Dragon Bridge! Thanks, Ron!❤
one of the best videos ive seen so far... a beautiful place, an young wise head that knows history and read books... what a combo.. that's how i wana be when im in my retirement years...
I laughed when you couldn't resist a Jollibee fried chicken in Vietnam! 😂Glad you liked it enough to show you eating it! I grew up in the Philippines and I remember it going head to head with the McD.
I love it Ron, I hope you are doing very well and we might meet next year. Really excited to catch up with you. Your travel journey through parts of SEA is just amazing, thanks for that! @@OUTBOUNDWITHRON
Hi there! I don't live in Da Nang. I live in the United States when I'm not traveling. That said, I feel confident that anyone could live comfortably on $1,500 US a month in Da Nang...I welcome input from others who live in Da Nang and may read this to chime in with their own thoughts to your question.
I am Vietnamese and you can live quite comfortably with 1500 a month in Danang. A high end one bed room apartment or sea view apartment costs you between 350-600 per month. If you eat like a local, three meals a day costs you max.200 per month.

As different as they are, you couldn't have gone wrong in either place.
Only issue is they dont have a retirement visa like thailand.
@@theoneaboveall7708 You want it all, don't you? 😄
Good presentation Ron, and thanks for not forgetting about the significance of the American involvement of the Vietnam war era.
Thanks EKS! Glad you enjoyed the video.

Yeah, I don't know what it is about Jollibee, Phil. It's like McDonald's without quite as much guilt, maybe. lol. But I'm a sucker for it.
Just found your channel, Excellent content 🙏🏻
Thanks so much Constantine. So glad you discovered it!
Love it, I am there Ron :-)
Fantastic Marc! I know you're having a great time.

How much do you spend per month living there? I’m making a 1500 on the lowest month, would I be able to live comfortable there?
