Welcome to Danang this winter . Are you from La Belle Province ?
@@hungcuongnguyen293 Hello, I am french speaking canadian but I were born and grew up in northern ontario. I have been living to Toronto for many years. My parents were from la belle province but they moved to Ontaro when they were young.

That was amazing! Great commentary and b-roll. I lived in Danang in 2018, and it seems like things are much more polished and attractive.

Very helpful thank you, I liked the fast factual delivery instead of some videos by others ‘look at us having a good time”

Thank you for the video and suggestions. But you went all the way to Vietnam to recommend western-style restaurants? Again, great video. 😅
Thanks, what can I say, Vietnamese isn't my favorite food and sometimes people traveling need some good western locations 👍

Going to Da Nang again in 2 weeks, not sure why Bana Hills is worth visiting apart from the scenic cable ride?

Luckily they don't last long👍

Thank you so much for the brilliant series.
I am planning 3 weeks November as a recce.
Thanks for doing all the leg work and advice.
The Braai Pit is 100% first port of call as its 'close to my heart home' for me.
Amazing to look at - your thoughts of a more permanent place to be?
Flights from BKK are not extortionate and I have found hotels close to the beach (my life) that are reasonable too - so its a go!
AWESOME! Have a wonderful time in Da Nang! Stay tuned for next week's video..... the last one of the series! I still hope you'll follow our adventures to Albania! ♥️ thank you so much for watching!

Great Information! Do the fireworks on the JetSkis and the display happen daily at the sun world asia park or Da Nang Downton at 9:15 PM?
@vamsipayasam9639 when we were there the jetski fireworks were part of the water show and it happened at the end of the water show, but I don't know how long the show will be running for? It was at the sun world Asia park
Hi, what a fantastic guide, much appreciated, and I can add a few to my list!
But I think Dong Ba market is in Hue not Da Nang! (your Google Maps link goes there too)
@dundas666 there IS a Dong Ba market in Hue.... this one is Dong Da.... wait.... maybe I said Dong Ba in the video?......🙄 ohhhh... I'll have to recheck... thank you so much! 👍

We are planning of spending a month or so in Da Nang in dec any thoughts on weather does ot rain alot in dec
What months were you there
@bradtowle1161 hi there 👋 thanks Brad! We were there in the summer months June, July August. Quick Google search says it's high 70's and the end of the rainy season. Have a good time in Da Nang 👍
Thank You, great honest content.
@@patriot8087 thank you so much! 👍
Great Video! Do you know how to stay longer than 90 days? Do you have any input on how to stay for a year? I'm planning to move there in January. Thanks!
@chrisfisher1975 no I don't unless you can apply for a longer term visa but I'm not familiar with them all. Sorry the only way I know is to buy property but things always change... so it's hard to say without a doubt.
JUST DO BORDER RUNS
@LEELUNK-IS-A-HUNK you could be denied at any time doing border runs..... it's not the best plan.
@@wattstraveling DO THEM PROPERLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS AND YOU'LL BE FINE, YOU HAVE A BETTER SUGGESTION , LETS HEAR IT
@LEELUNK-IS-A-HUNK yes, get the correct visa. I'm not saying boarder runs can't be done..... you just never know if they will reject you..... it's not the way they want you to stay long term in their country is all I'm saying. You COULD buy property which will get you a residency permit good for 1 year, renewable every year as long as you own your home. 👍
*Cầu Vàng - Ba Na hills* ! 🌁

Marked "places to explore" on my map, thanks!
I wish the town was more pedestrian-friendly though. I don't drive, i walk, and walking conditions are literally absent here, as if the Vietnamese are born on scooters..

that was a very informative video. I am coming with my girlfriend mid February for one month. We came there in July 24, but i really did not like it there. In fact, we cut our stay short and returned to Thailand. But i want to give it a second chance, and your video has certainly helped my planning. Can I ask about motorbikes and licences please.........I assume an International Licence is the thing to have? I had heard that a Thai licence is valid in any Asean country, but that proved not to be the case last July.........unless the cop that stopped us was really corrupt.......so what is the deal with motorbike hire and licence please? I hired for 3 million for the month last time, but it was a really crappy old PCX Honda.
@nickmondo222 definitely give it a second chance. As for the license...... the only valid drivers license is a Vietnam drivers license and part is a written test (in Vietnamese) so it's really the luck of the draw whether you get stopped and the other you mentioned. We only needed our passport to rent a bike. I have other videos in and around DaNang that might help? Thanks for watching, I think Feb is a good time to go weather wise... we found July extremely hot! Have a great time and thanks for watching!
For the firework of Asia Park, it only present at that time period. For now it ended. We dont know when they bring it back.
Good to know! 👍
I LOOK FORWARD GOING TO DANANG

Enjoyed the video except that you only rated western food. We only eat the local food when visiting a country other than our own.
If I'm being honest, Vietnamese food isn't my favorite, at least not something I could 100 % base my diet on.... what I DID have that was Vietnamese was good....I just found there meals lacking in quality protein, heavily carbohydrate based, many deep fried options and lots of noodles..... like I said, I liked it.... but couldn't 100% live off it. So I was happy to find great Western options and I wanted to share 👍

Do you prefer vietnam to thailand
That is a REALLY good question...... honestly, they both had their perks.... it's a tough one. Dentistry and eyeglasses are very affordable in Vietnam..... but I like Thai foods and Thai massage better 😁 Liveability in both countries in the areas we stayed in were very affordable and easy. Good question! 👍♥️
@@wattstraveling thank you for taking the time to answer my question. Best of luck on your travels
Wow, great video. You summarized all the spots and included Google map links (annoying when people don't). Your overrated choices are spot on. I just wish you included more local cuisines and not western. Buy hey, 5 star video!

Is it expensive to live there? Do you need a car. How long can you stay there without citizenship? Are they gay couple friendly??
Check out this video on our budget ⬇️
th-cam.com/video/COXL2sagjf0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zROj2870S2Qt1UjX
You don't NEED a car, guess it all depends on what you want to do but taxis are affordable. As far as how long you can stay, that's visa dependent and the rules change all the time, so it's best to ask the officials. When we were there we applied for a 3 month visa. I want to say the Vietnamese are friendly towards all people, Gay couples included... but i don't have much experience with that. Thank you for watching.
*Bán đảo Sơn Trà* ! 🏞️
Great views!
Vietnam could be more enjoyable if the people didn’t throw garbage everywhere and the food vendors practiced hygiene.
That is always a good idea, any country you travel to! 👍
I Watched the entire video, I didn’t see trashes very where.
@upalabana3135 you are right, not in this video will you see that.....I think that was a generalized statement. But speaking from experience there seems to be a lack of respect for the beautiful land and people will throw their garbage on the ground without a thought. I wouldn't even consider doing that back home.
I was in Vietnam last year and I was disappointed that the advertised ' pristine water and beaches' was totally incorrect. Go to Vietnam for the food, coffee, culture and friendly people.
@wayneedwards5589 see I thought Da Nang beach was nicer than I expected..... but there's SO MUCH MORE.... like you said! 👍
Sorry i meant to say what not why
@@ENCANTOADVENTURES 👍
You didn’t and don’t “live” anywhere in Vietnam. You were a tourist and in 90 days you can’t learn anything about the people and culture aka the real Vietnam.
I believe you can learn a lot in 90 days! ..... it's better than staying 3 days and saying it's the best place in the world, like SOME travelers? These are just some places we've experienced while living in Danang for 3 months...... just wanted to share some great things. 👍 plus YOU are an expat? Why are you hating on other travelers?
WE are going soon:-))) thank you for the lovely vlog @@
Ohhhh, that's AWESOME! Have a great time, there's lots to explore! 👍 thanks for watching guys
Not bad video, forget hoi an though so completely overcrowded makes it a bust. Unless you would enjoy being shoulder to shoulder with 150,000 (literally) little pinks
@dashtuso4397 if you've never been to Hoi An, you have to experience it and decide on your own. Some people love hustle and bustle...... or go and enjoy the early morning when it is less crowed 👍 thanks for watching
Thanks for the video! But recommending eating steak and burgers in a city full of amazing local dishes is.. interesting 🫣
@sushkabaranka to be honest, Vietnamese food isn'tmy favorite, and I don't eat seafood and these options i find when you live long term, one might crave coming from Western/ places. And nowhere can you find an affordable steak like Bo Steak..... anywhere! 👍 i don't know how many times I get asked about Western options when we visit S.E.A. If you are a fan of Vietnamese food.... you will not like my choices. 🤣🤣 thank you for watching.
