No, At the end of episode 37, you can see that Misa committed suicide by jumping off a high building. It didn't really show her jumping but it was pretty obvious she did jump. On January something 2010, Light died. Misa said she didn't want to live a life with out Light so on February 14 (valentine's day) 20110, she committed suicide on the same place light had died. I feel bad for her tho. She had a really sweet heart.

I wouldn't see Misa as a pure angel in the story. Her love, or rather obsession, for Light often made her reject all sense of value and righteousness in her decisions and actions. It was subtle but she also was a yandere since she almost threatened Light with her eyes at first. But yeah, in the end it's sad. I liked her character and was disappointed to see her being tossed aside in the last half of the story. Also its funny to think that Misa was the strongest character of the serie with Mikami since both of them had the eyes... and both of them were litteraly worshipping Kira.

I just realized the shinigami king killed Misa. She had a lifespan that was way longer than fated but had no death note and no shinigami to kill her when she lost the game. He had to wait to kill her because if he made her death too close to Light's, it may spark up an investigation, keeping the death note in public memory forever.
Personally, I say she still committed suicide in the anime. I mean, why else would they show a scene of her on top of the building at the edge, after Light's death. Also, the expression on her face says it all. She just has those suicidal eyes just gazing into the distance. In fact, to add even further into it, in the anime, Misa told L, if something were to happen to Light, She wouldn't know what to do with herself. Clarifying, she would kill herself.

I finished death note about 5 years ago and I still fell L had one of the worst lives he was orphaned then brought to wammy's house where he was already so broken when the other kids tried to cuddle to make him fell welcome he beat them down and then L who was still just a kid got brought into the crime life where everybody depended on him and the only real friend he had was watari it is just sad to be honest

Oof not everyone acting as though she was pure at heart. I always thought she was a psychopath as well. Willing to kill without blinking an eye, she was just as bad. Killing and murder did not phase her one bit. "Love" doesn't justify it. And she allowed light to use her as he pleased even though she was smart. It's sad honestly. Her character was definitely unique but it frustrated me that she wasn't given a proper reason to follow Kira like Teru was. Why did she love him? It was never explained or justified.
She loved him because she had fallen in love at first sight with Light. She had already said this in the anime and the manga. And she followed Kira because Kira had killed the killer of her parents.

Gelus and Rem gave Misa their lifespan by killing for her. Each person’s lifespan (that they had before shinigami killed them) a shinigami kills is transferred to that shinigami. So who knows how many people Gelus and Rem had killed before they died. Misa could have lived anywhere between 100 and 1000 I bet.

the manga takes place during late 2003 and 2004 for most of it and the anime takes place 3 years later. there's a 5 year difference between l's death and near and mello's involvement in the kira case, making it 2009/2012. a couple of months pass, making it 2010/2013 when light dies and misa kills herself.
Tbh I think Misa is the most frustrating character. Because she’s the only source of comic relief most of the time so I want to like her, but I just can’t actually like her due to her devotion to Light, an extremely unlikeable character in his own right. Idk they both just make me so angry. Misa never even had a character arc either, she just became devoted to Kira then found out he was hot and ended up killing herself for him after the show. It’s just... idk. Honestly we’re lucky that SOME decent people survived, in Matsuda, Aizawa, Mogi, Sayu, Sachiko and Near, we prevented complete insanity lol
Im pretty sure when L was alive misa wrote her own name in the death note and the cause of death to be by lights hands. Idk where i saw this or if its actually true but it seems interesting to me.
I think it's not what Misa did that people like, obviously she did bad things but it's the emotional connection they have with a tragic character who has been through some shit, her family is killed then someone tries to kill her, she ends up falling in love with a man who is toxic, but she loves him with all her heart. Deep down she is a good person who has gone astray like so many people do. She represents that pain and hopelessness inside so many people who suffer then she takes her life in the end. Her character remides me of myself minus the killing, a tragic lost girl who just wants to be happy but instead takes her own life. Also remember that the book overtime corrupts the person. At first it's it's just curiousness about using it then fear but over time it makes you do things you wouldn't do or at least that's how I saw it.
I don't think her lifespan was extended. Think about it. Say she was supposed to live to be 80, she cuts it once, 40. she cuts it again, 20. When she commits suicide, she dies at a young age because she had shortened her life so much. This works perfectly with her shortening her life and it coming true through suicide.
I honestly believe that Misa's death is a big waste and very much the death that made me mad. I'd rather believe that she became a cult leader because the fact is that in both of the one shot sequels from the manga, nobody mentioned her death in both one shot sequels. It's like everyone was like, "Yeah, we know Misa's dead, but we just don't care." :(
Misa isn’t too smart. She completely forgot about being a high end model once she met light. The whole scene where she gives up ownership of the death note only to do what she could have done without giving up the death note. The one person in this whole anime that I personally felt bad for was light's mother.... just imagine finding out that tour son has been killing people, + your son indirectly killed your husband, and because of your son your daughter has been scarred for life... i feel so bad for misa,although im mad that she made rem kill l,but that was mostly all lights doing.what breaks me the most tho is that in the second last ep she has her last call with light..and light says that they will call her back,but that was the last time she ever talked to light..imagine she must’ve been waiting a while for a call back,until she found out light had died.

I finished death note about 5 years ago and I still fell L had one of the worst lives he was orphaned then brought to wammy's house where he was already so broken when the other kids tried to cuddle to make him fell welcome he beat them down and then L who was still just a kid got brought into the crime life where everybody depended on him and the only real friend he had was watari it is just sad to be honest

Oof not everyone acting as though she was pure at heart. I always thought she was a psychopath as well. Willing to kill without blinking an eye, she was just as bad. Killing and murder did not phase her one bit. "Love" doesn't justify it. And she allowed light to use her as he pleased even though she was smart. It's sad honestly. Her character was definitely unique but it frustrated me that she wasn't given a proper reason to follow Kira like Teru was. Why did she love him? It was never explained or justified.
She loved him because she had fallen in love at first sight with Light. She had already said this in the anime and the manga. And she followed Kira because Kira had killed the killer of her parents.
ngl i found misa rly annoying at first but as the series progressed i felt more of pity than annoyance towards her. despite being used by light, she was blinded by love and still remained loyal towards light even though light didn't love her at all. and after everything she died a depressing death. rip misa

the manga takes place during late 2003 and 2004 for most of it and the anime takes place 3 years later. there's a 5 year difference between l's death and near and mello's involvement in the kira case, making it 2009/2012. a couple of months pass, making it 2010/2013 when light dies and misa kills herself.

Tbh I think Misa is the most frustrating character. Because she’s the only source of comic relief most of the time so I want to like her, but I just can’t actually like her due to her devotion to Light, an extremely unlikeable character in his own right. Idk they both just make me so angry. Misa never even had a character arc either, she just became devoted to Kira then found out he was hot and ended up killing herself for him after the show. It’s just... idk.
Honestly we’re lucky that SOME decent people survived, in Matsuda, Aizawa, Mogi, Sayu, Sachiko and Near, we prevented complete insanity lol
I'm surprised she is able to cut her life in half twice, yet still survive every other main character in the story.
Misa loved by 2 Shinigamis and L also liked her but she only loved Light who always used her as a weapon.

Im pretty sure when L was alive misa wrote her own name in the death note and the cause of death to be by lights hands. Idk where i saw this or if its actually true but it seems interesting to me.
I think it's not what Misa did that people like, obviously she did bad things but it's the emotional connection they have with a tragic character who has been through some shit, her family is killed then someone tries to kill her, she ends up falling in love with a man who is toxic, but she loves him with all her heart. Deep down she is a good person who has gone astray like so many people do. She represents that pain and hopelessness inside so many people who suffer then she takes her life in the end. Her character remides me of myself minus the killing, a tragic lost girl who just wants to be happy but instead takes her own life. Also remember that the book overtime corrupts the person. At first it's it's just curiousness about using it then fear but over time it makes you do things you wouldn't do or at least that's how I saw it.
She is a tragic character and is pretty sociable but that doesn't justify her deeds so she got what she deserved at the end

I don't think her lifespan was extended. Think about it. Say she was supposed to live to be 80, she cuts it once, 40. she cuts it again, 20. When she commits suicide, she dies at a young age because she had shortened her life so much. This works perfectly with her shortening her life and it coming true through suicide.
I honestly believe that Misa's death is a big waste and very much the death that made me mad. I'd rather believe that she became a cult leader because the fact is that in both of the one shot sequels from the manga, nobody mentioned her death in both one shot sequels. It's like everyone was like, "Yeah, we know Misa's dead, but we just don't care." :(

Misa isn’t too smart. She completely forgot about being a high end model once she met light. The whole scene where she gives up ownership of the death note only to do what she could have done without giving up the death note.
