Greetings! I know this is a lil over one year late lmao but i just wanna tell you about how you pointed at the wrong part (it's actually one of the muffler clampers) when you're referring to the valve control unit. The actual place where the plug should be approximately on 0:40 on upper side, you could see the opening in where the plug would usually be in. Hopefully this would clear any confusion for other 3 series owners! Beautiful spec btw! I have a blacked out 2023 aussie version myself and am currently planning to do some considerable mods in it too!

About tip 1 - keep in mind that permanently opening valve can lead to damaging (not burning out) GPF. Also, I heard about cases of warranty loss due to disconnected valve switch. Also, about "emotion start" - it seems like I have it by default in M340i LCI - no matter if I start engine in sports or in comfort the valve is open during startup and few seconds after it and the engine revs to ~2k RPM by itself
Unfortunately the 330i only starts up with the valves closed and takes a few seconds for them to open in sport mode after startup even if the car is already warm! And I’ve yet to hear about anyone losing a warranty claim because of disconnected muffler valve because you could plug it back in and have it working perfectly before bringing back to the dealer!
@@thenew330i Yeah, I've seen a post of guy who did not plug it back in and he passed the car to dealer and he lost warranty xD. But if you'll remember hopefully you'll be good. But there's one more thing that's interesting to me - what happens if you switch off your engine and then press sport button when the engine is off? Don't you hear the valve switching?
@@kilobak2297 Nope, the valve can only open if the car is started up, before disconnecting it I tried to have it startup with valves open and nothing I tried worked
Let the car warm up, but it into sport mode and listen for the valves open up. Once they’re open: unplug the connector as shown in the video and tape it up! They will stay open from now on!
Hey. I know you don't have a 320i but I'll ask anyways. Does sport mode in a 320i make the exhaust sound any different? I hear a lot of the older models (pre-LCI) make pops and burbles in sport mode but I wanna know if it carried on to the the LCI version. Have a 24' 320i but haven't broken in the engine yet so am pretty scared of revving it at high rpms.
@@anjaymemi8urytyt the easiest way to check is to cold start your car, switch it into sport mode, then stand at the back of your car and listen to see if you can hear your muffler exhaust flap open up once the car warms up. (Usually takes around 1-2 minutes)

Hi ! How do you do the trick on the exhaust ?

How do you get the car to start in sport individual? My m340i always starts in comfort
You can do it through coding!
Why would you turn off the auto stop start ,,, what are the benefits of doing this.
It saves the starter motor from unnecessary wear and tear and I dislike having the car constantly turn on and off.
how did you get sport plus? i dont have that on my car even if I double click the sport mode button.
I had sport plus coded in
I have a 330e does the tape trick work with it the same as your 330i?

Just click a shifter paddle
