Love the hot tub and how you made it more insulated for the savings on power, and taking down the huge tree! Whoa!

bought our tub off of Facebook.I wanted one for many years. We spent a bit more than what i wanted to but was exactly what i dreamed of.Only 2 years old and found out it was a $10k tub when new and I paid $5300!Top of the line tub with foot jets, steel frame, plastic pan, etc. The one thing that even i was surprised at was and is the details to get one up and running correctly. We put down concrete in the spot for it under a deck.Did this myself along with a concrete friend.Cost of that 15'x12' pad was roughly $1k.all rebar and 4-5" thick. Then came the electrical.A 240v hot tub needs 6 gauge wire along with a gfci breaker box outside. This was roughly another $750 just in parts.I did the electric myself and turned out fine.So now my $5300 hot tub is up to $7K!Still a great deal but just food for thought for people out there. Then came the chemicals to get you going, another $250 for the Frog Ease system and some extras to get u through a year.Frog ease lasts for 3 months generally give or take and will cost u $100or so for another 3 months. These are Facts in my experience.nice stuff and good luck to all.
on extra way to keep the heat in is to get a scrap piece of solar cover they use on pools to keep the heat in.I got some and cut it to fit and you can actually notice that with it on that barely no steam escapes from the water.better than nothing, maybe a pain for some but any little bit helps in the northern climates.

Haha it’s so funny, so many people have said the same thing! It was a shame pulling it down but we used if for firewood a year later

dont buy used, the warranty alone that comes with a new one is worth it
