Thanks for all your videos Brian! So now I've been trying to find a list of which brands have which type of support for the shell. Do you know of a list? Or, how can I find that info on their webpage? Or do I need to just ask that question in person at the retailer? Thanks in advance!
Good afternoon, my best advice is to ask the dealer and use the details in the video. If they don't know the answer and can't explain the process then they're not selling self supporting shell hot tubs. That's my opinion. Hope this helps!
Great videos and information. Thanks for putting these together. I was looking at Marquis brand hot tubs, either vector or celebrity series, vs Jacuzzi 300 series. It saw your jacuzzi video, which again was great, but wanted your comparison or thoughts on Marquis. Really appreciate your time and help!
Good morning, I would go to both dealers, feel the jets, sit in the potential hot tubs dry, possibly wet test if available. Check their reviews. I would ask the dealer about service and support and make sure it’s in house and not sub contracted. From here you should be able to make the best decision for you and your family. Hope this helps!
Hi Brian First & foremost, I love your videos... They have taught me so much about how tubs during my quest to purchase one. You are so on the money regarding self-supporting tubs. My original quest led me to a (l will leave the name out to protect the innocent) Let's just say they are from Europe- enough on that - Well, I fell in love with this tub & all the bells & whistles, big sale etc., At least that was until I stood inside of it for a lounge dry test & felt the dome area flexing... Strange to say the least on a $10k reduced from $15k tub, & when I asked the rep why it was bouncy his response was not to worry as the tub could withstand hundreds of pounds as it was supported underneath... Your video explains everything- tku. Fortunately for me I did not pull the trigger that day & continued on my quest until I came upon a J355. Decision made. Nothing against Sundance as they are obviously a great tub, nonetheless it was love at first sight 😅. Thank you again for all of your guidance & knowledge - Keep them coming
Hi Brian, very informative information. I’m debating whether to buy 2021 new aqua trainer 14’ vs tidal fit ep14. Do you know if tidal fit is self supporting shell?
Good afternoon, the tidal fit isn't a self supporting shell from what I know and see unless they've changed something in the last year. Hope this helps!
Good evening, most of their hot tubs are self supporting. I do like Hotspring. I personally like the Highlife collection over their other collections. Hope this helps!
Good afternoon, yes it's self-supporting. However, that's a 25 year unit and it's 20 years old. You also need to consider how it was taken care of. That's important. Hope this helps!
@@atlantahottubcenter It seems to be in very good condition physically, apart from some minor things like the headrest pillow. When you say a “25 year unit”, you mean it won’t live past 5 more years? Or what exactly did you mean by that. Yes, it’s 20 years old… so I am expecting failures.
@@amosfeldman9454 Good afternoon, life expectancy on the unit it around 25 years so it's just important to know it's approaching it's life expectancy. Hope this helps!
A online seller being Bueno Spas factory rep told me that the entire line of acrylic hot tubs are self supporting. And I'm sure you know Bueno is owned by Wellis. Both brands are made in Hungary. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Good morning, when I took this video it was and hot tub shells shouldn’t deteriorate. I have 30 year old hand rolled fiber glass shell hot tubs and the shells are still perfect which is kind of my point here. Hope this helps!
Are Master Spas self supporting shells good quality?

I’m looking to purchase a Hot Springs spa in the next few weeks. I assume all of their models are self supporting?

Hi Brian, do you happen to know if a Sundance Spas from 2003 (Capri / 850) is self-supporting or not? Thanks in advance.
Good afternoon, yes it's self-supporting. However, that's a 25 year unit and it's 20 years old. You also need to consider how it was taken care of. That's important. Hope this helps!

Good afternoon, all of those hot tubs aren’t self supporting shells. They all require support for the shell. Hope this helps!
However that spa appears to be way older than 7-8 years..
