Just wanted to say how much I like the fact that you put the instructions for the whole row that is being stitched at the bottom. It makes it so much easier to follow along. Thanks for the great tutorial!
I'm making this now. I can't wait to see how this turns out. I love sitting down at night after the house gets quiet to binge watch a little TV and catch up on some me time crocheting worries and stresses I to something beautiful to help me heal as well as making beautiful things to give to loved ones.
I just found you 😊. Like how you show stitches in your pattern. I am 83 and showing how to do stitches makes it easier then reading a pattern. Helps to understand how to read a pattern. I have added you to my phone . Thank you I will be doing this pattern. I have the perfect yarn.
I had to unravel after a few rows because I decided I wanted it wider and I tried doing back loop only on the single crochet only rows and it really made the arch design pop more. On your yarn the arch is super defined whereas on my cotton it was harder to see so when I switched to back loop only it looked a lot cooler. Can depend on the yarn and personal preference tho. Super cool stitch
This is so beautiful, and yet so simple! I'm going to try this in white. I have way too many crochet projects on the go. I keep finding new stitches and new patterns and I want to try them out! I think I am a yarnaholic.

Stitchinstacy has a video on this wavy shell stitch pattern. She has a 31 stitch pattern showing how it done. This video is 5 years old. Is very clear and concise.
Thanks! I wanted something different to make a quick infinity scarf to go with a plain olive green blouse for church this Sunday. This seems to fit nicely. I am using a few rows of a variegated yarn but mostly a similar color to your sample. Thanks again! Blessings.
You're the Best! I Love how you have the written explanation below your video tutorial, right there on the screen!!! I have been going through TH-cam trying to learn new stitch patterns and some have the written instructions in the description section which is very helpful for making items again without having to watch the video tutorials which are also invaluable for clarity, but many don't have written instructions at all and I have to go along with the video and write them out myself.. Which is a pain. So Thank You, Thank You! You're the only one who I've found does this. This pattern, by the way IS gorgeous. Look forward to seeing what else you have, and hope you've got lots! Have a great Thanksgiving. I give you My thanks!😊🦃😘

Question. The fan being 7dc and the edges being 4dc. What is the count for the space between the fan(7dc) to make a flat. Longer piece. Tyia. Xoxo. Love it !!!
Unfortunately, TH-cam says the video with instructions for making a blanket from this lovely stitch is not available. 🤷🏼♀️ Thank you for posting instructions for making this stitch and the written directions at the bottom of the screen.
luthers teaching here’s the link: th-cam.com/video/4O_tQRlHCQ0/w-d-xo.html not exactly sure why it’s not working but I’m gonna try to get it fixed! Thanks for letting me know!
How do you avoid those holes between the skip 3’s and DC? I’m getting these gaping holes which are starting to look more like a lace pattern than a wave. Your work with the rose color is very neat and and I can’t see any holes in between just a slight one where the 7dcs are crocheted into. I’m using a 5.5 hook with Aran yarn could it be the size of my hook? I didn’t have a 5.25 and can’t get that size anywhere
I can honestly say that I have never seen this stitch done quite this way. I'm really loving how it turned out! Now what to make with it...🤔 Hmm maybe a purse... Decisions decisions! Lol
I created a full blanket pattern using this stitch. It's different color combination (rainbow design) but it's the exact same stitch. That info is linked here: th-cam.com/video/4O_tQRIHCQ0/w-d-xo.html

So on the swatch you did 4dc but on the purple piece you showed it looked like more than 4dc
so if we want to make a baby blanket do we do a series of 14 plus 3
You do 14 chains multiplied by whatever # you need to get the width, and then add 3 to the total. Example: 14 times 10 =140 plus 3 equals 143
Beautiful design. Thanks for the great tutorial 😊😊👌
