    Thank you so much. I want to make this for a long time. Some lady didn't show start to end in every rows but you do so is so clear for us. And you also tell the repeat rows 2-3-4-5 so that's very good. May God bless you. You are the best. Hope to see more of your patterns.

    Thank you it is beautiful. My Grandma taught me to crochet over 60 years ago and you are the ONLY one that holds the thread and hook the way she taught me. I do not see how they hold their finger up in the air and keep control plus deal with the cramps from the way so many do. Thank you for your teaching as their are so many new stitches I want to learn. I have G'ma and Mom' old Coats & Clark pattern book from the 30s thru my growing up in the 50s.....plus books that I have picked up over the years......probably 60-70 plus.

      I am with you on that Miss Barbara..i hold it as i do because it gives me so much control of my yarn...as others the way its its held causes it to beway to loose or way to tight..so i have to do it this way to have the best control...:)))

    Where do i print out the instructions? I thought i heard, but i seem to miss it somewhere along the line.... Please let me know.thank you in advance.
    Also, how many stiches for a twin/full wide? I understand "multiples of 14+2+1[17 stcs]" I understand depends on the Needle size for the yarn weight (usually found on the outside of the yarn label) but what if I'm a "tight" stitcher?

    It's coming out so pretty at this width! What a pretty stitch! Did you come up with this pattern all your own? As for the border I think your right, because the pattern is so pretty you really don't want to take away from it. I think just a simple single crochet all around would look nice. :-)

    very awesome and clear instructions so helpful! I love this pattern I've never seen this one. I have a question, I'm a little confused on how the stitching would go from where you end each row if I wanted to make a blanket? do I just repeat the steps from the front to the back? I'm so confused by this when there's tutorials that do a small width. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And thank you again 😇

    Hi, thank you for this gorgeous tutorial! I was wondering if the foundation chain of 31 is a good width to start out with to make a scarf? Also do you have any boarder ideas for this as a scarf? :-)

    • @Stitchinstacy
      @Stitchinstacy  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sounds good to me..depends on how wide you like it or how thin..everyone has a totally different idea on that nowadays lol..i would start there do a row or two if you dont think its long enough you can pull it out add a couple more stitches..i do that all the time..as for a border..when i am doing a pattern that has such a busy look to it..i like personally to do a more simple border..but that is just me..i dont enjoy doing a busy border with a busy pattern:) hope that helps and ty for your support!

  • @ruthnowak7165
    @ruthnowak7165 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I am terrible at patterns and obviously instruction. Do I chain 31 then to make it bigger add multiples of 14 chains? What does the plus 1 and 2 for the base chain mean exactly? Does it mean to add multiples of 14 then three at the end when I get it as big as I want it to be? Duh? Sorry I just don't get that part.

    • @Stitchinstacy
      @Stitchinstacy  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I explain in each video using multiples what you do with "Multiples"..I dont know how else to simplify this quite honestly...it is as it says it is..you work your chains of 14 over and over to get your starting (foundation chain) to the length (or width) you want your project..14, 14, 14, 14..you have to work in multiples because if you dont have the correct amount of starting stitches, based on what stitch or stitch pattern you are working with will not come out correctly at the end, so you work in multiples

      Ruth Nowak, i too got confused by the multiples of 14 plus 1 plus 2 for your base chain. I’ve never heard it put as adding 1 then 2 after the multiples for your base chain. So, I hit the comments to see if anyone had an answer. And after reading all the replies I still have no answer, except I must be stupid. Yeah, this is not the channel for me, because there are no stupid questions (except of course here lol.)

    • @coolcutsgal2
      @coolcutsgal2 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I asked this question before I saw your post. But the way you asked sounds less complicated than mine 🤭14+2+3=17; correct? So if I want to make a twin/full blanket (86 x 91) I have to figure out how many stiches in 1" and then take 86 inches x that number to get my foundation number.
      For example: my blanket size is: 86" x 91". On the outside of my Red Heart Super Saver it says that for a 4"x4" square using a #9(or I) Crochet Needle it will be 12 stiches so I'm assuming 12 stitches = 4" so 12÷4=3 so 3 stitches = 1". If I multiply 86 by 3 I get 258 or 259. Since I'm assuming that the Base chain needs to be an odd number since your working with the 14+1+2 which equals 17 an odd number.
      Is this correct or not? I understand "it's not complicated" but for a beginner, it is...we don't know how to do the calculations.
