I want to thank you so much for this tutorial. It’s very well done and I learned a beautiful new stitch. I would love listening to you reading to me every night before bed. You’re so calm and you have a lovely voice.

I love this stitch and yours is the first tutorial on herringbone that includes that third “bar” or loop so you don’t get a line on the back side. Very clear explanation, thank you! This seems to create a very dense fabric-if I wanted to make a more draping fabric for a throw, for instance, would I just go up multiple sizes on the hook?
Thank you 😊 for your kind comment! For a drapey fabric, use a thinner yarn (am using a bulky here). If you go up a hook size the diagonal lines won't have a good tension, they'll look loose. Use a yarn with more number of ply so that the yarn is ' rounder'....& The effect will be perfect lines n drapey fabric. Sorry for a lengthy answer 😶

I've watched the video several times to see what I did wrong but I dont understand how that happened with stitch markers. And why it worked on one side but not the others.
Aahh that's a bummer! ☹️ here are my two cents. If you are missing stitches on the edge only : place a marker on the first stitch as usual....but also on the last stitch, just before making the chain 1 and flipping. That helps to identify the first stitch of the next row correctly. In case we are missing stitches in the middle of the row: the best thing to do would be streching the work every few stitches and seeing clearly if rach stitch was used. And counting the stitches on every row before flipping. I hope this helps ♥️
@@tmckmusic8584 that's a great Q.. So, if the yarn itself is thick, the cloth/ fabric will be thick...else it looks good with thinner yarn too. Just that the yarn needs to have lots of ply and be a 'rounder' yarn. Best use, pot holders..you are right. Also, bags, baskets, coasters, laptop sleeves....
