    I’ve lived in Zagreb for over 20 years, and I’ve never been in that indoor market above the main square.

    Great video Evan! I'm happy that you like Croatia. And yea, you need to try that "fresh cheese" with sour cream and a little salt.
    Idunno what that guy in the comments is talking about, but you can touch the glass 🤣
    And yea... That square "bread", is not bread but pastry and its called Mlinci. You need to cook it first and then bake it with chicken or turkey.
    On easter, in the morning we eat that cooked ham with hard boield eggs, green onions, homemade bread, that fresh cheese and other stuff...

    try fresh cheese and sour cream. Ask for "sir i vrhnje" from that lady that sells chesse. Thats what croatians eat. Best thing ever combined.

      Thank you for the tip. Going to try that for sure! sounds like a unique combination and i'm always curious abt what the locals really eat. I know one thing for sure...Croatians LOVE pastries. there is like 7 bakeries right next to each other in most places! lol love it.

    here some main things about croatian culture and other things:
    The Croatian language:
    hvala = thank you/thanks
    bok = hello/hi
    deka = grams (example: 20 deka = 20 grams)
    molim vas = please
    Which ages speak the most english:
    1-5 = not much to not at all
    6-10 = theres a meduim chance
    11-16 = big chance
    17-24 = very very likely
    25-35 = yes maybe
    35-40 = lower chances
    41-50 = very low chances
    51+ = probably know 3 words
    (these are just my guesses as a Croatian)

      No, one deka, dkg or dag stands for a decagram. 1 dkg (dag) = 10 grams.
      1 dcl = 100 ml

      @@turkofalbanianorigine1629 Ya, Rozaliya said the beaches in Croatia look amazing but she hasen't been either. I've actually done a video on Albanian culture years ago on the account i lost the password to (th-cam.com/video/pCUNE-BOJvc/w-d-xo.html&t). Wanted to visit last year but covid stuff prevented me. Hopefully, you can come to Croatia soon! It's pretty here for sure and it sounds like you like nature. The most beautiful place I've been to so far has been Greece. Breathtaking!! More beautiful than California!

    Off course Croatians are into pasta. They learned it from the Albanians. Albianians have the best pizza, bread and cake in Croatia.
