Ohh man. Its fabulous watching you wax lyrical over the Kremsnita, which looks suspiciously like an Australian vanilla slice. Common as donuts down under although quality varies depending on where you buy them. We even make a mocha one. I suspect might be more polenta than standard custard considering the location. The food looks divine, as does the locale...rather envious and adding Croatia to my bucket list!

You haven't seen much, so I'll quote the beginning of my favorite song "Welcome back, my friends......"
For the best burek, you should go to Dolac market
Even as a child I got a burek there, when my mother was shopping with me by the hand, on the Dolac.
Schon als Kind habe ich dort einen Burek bekommen, wenn meine Mutter mit mir an der Hand, auf dem Dolac einkaufen war.
dafina has the best burek and the portion is big for a cheap price
Absolutely love your channel!!
Lijepa nasa domovina i moj Zagreb ❤💛💚❤💙
Zagreb je za mene raj. Jer tu se veli kaj. 🙂
najbolja država
I was going to ask a Croatian lady out from work but I got scared. She's very pretty but had 3 older brothers.😁 anyways I've tried some of their dishes and most of them are good. Thanks for taking us to the Balkans with your video. 👍👍👍
Well, in fact he didn't take you to the Balkans. Zagreb is not in the Balkans
You are guys in the army?
Good luck. Be confident..Slavic women like strong confident men. Show interest in her culture when you talk with her. She'll like that. Slavs are generally very proud of their heritage.
You work in Croatia?
Museum of breakups is definitely on my bucket list now!!
I love Croatia and Zagreb. I am so glad you gave this phenomenal place some good air time!
I have so much fun with the way you are doing this, excellent kind of humour - keep up the wonderful work.
Fave parts: anytime you’re eating.
Haha, I swear you had the meat sweats at the end of the episode. 😂😂 Great start. Solo for a day or two is always great.
Bas je prekrasna duša ova dama.
Croatia has amazing culture and its one of oldest countries in Europe.. love it
The country is 30 years old
@@A.55267 the “country” was apart of the Hapsburg dynasty and was not a sovereign nation-state, and before that, most of it belonged to the Venetians and independent Slavic subsidiaries. The break up of Yugoslavia was the first time Croatia was a “country”, you pig. Go create clips of mobile games for the masses.
@@petecherry4908 croatia is at least 1.000 years old while there neighbour countries are mostly 30 years old and articifal nations...especially serbia and bosnia
@@vincenzo8934 places like Slovenia and Croatia have been conquered with new cultures and governments coming and going since the iron ages. This is like saying India is one of the oldest countries in the world. Thought processes like this is why sovereignty conflicts like the one in Israel and Palestine are so prevalent. Just because one ethnicity claims a nation state doesn’t mean those same people were always occupying and governing the land.
@@petecherry4908 by your logic germany is then 33 years old
Love, love, love it! I haven’t been yet but 50/50 chance we’ll be there in Sept. If it doesn’t come together then next year for sure. Croatia intrigues me because it has beauty in landscapes and people with a complicated, tumultuous history. It’s unsettling to know that it wasn’t that long ago that this area was a total battlefield.
That museum was quirky and cool. Food is heavy and delicious, just what you need to offset war torn memories. Great to see a glimpse of overlooked Zagreb before the touristy coast. But my favorite part was after the cable car, that cheeky “hi” to the passerby as you walked down. You were definitely feeling yourself. Can’t wait for the next one.
P.S. What is your ethnic makeup? You look like a local.
That's amazing! I can't wait to show you more from this incredible country!!
I was born in croatia in 1989, just few years before the war.
Zagreb was never a battlefield wtf lol
Everything looks so beautiful! Wow, he takes huge bites of his food!

Tood to meet Helena. That museum seem strange and I hope it was free or a low admission .Your lunch looked delicious. You mentioned noticing all the beautiful people in the city. Not only women! Good for you being open minded and more embracing and accepting. I had a friend from California you loved to go to a certain part of Croatia ,I'll have to ask her where.
Been to Croatia over 20x since I’m from there, but I couldn’t go this summer. 😓 Living through you right now haha 💪🏼 (glad you’re enjoying it)

Funny thing that you passed near construction site after "Museum of broken relationships" and you where both in bad mood, but name (VESELČIĆ) on the covers on that site literally mean something like diminutive of the adjective cheerful :)
Just came across your channel & I love it!!! Bruce Willis cameo was awesome!
Your adorable! I love you reactions.😊
Incredible video!
Thanks a lot!
Meat burek dont have cheese in it.. Its just dough layers and minced meat in 😁
Lmbo Gareth, bon appetit! Croatia looks fantastic, enjoy! 😊💛💛💕💗
I know this is an off the wall question, but do the windows there have screens?
The mention that Zagreb looks like traditional Europe paired with the shot of the old man smoking his cigarette with a traditional grip is excellent.
Your first Croatan dessert...you know it's good when he has it smeared all over his face.
All I can say about the street sights of Zagreb...and especially the girl on the cable car...is Wow!
Thanks so much for visiting this corner of the world, which seems to me to be too neglected. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series. And the food.
Come for a visit 😉 PS. My windows have screens.
Gareth, thank you to promote may country and my hometown 👍
