$200 is a great deal! The pros and cons of the early wings are that it is difficult to locate rings to rebuild the lower end (if needed), but, as you know, entire bikes can be had for cheap if you need a parts bike. I am curious what you find on yours. Let me know what you find and good luck!👍💪

You’re aware that steel tube is far stronger then flat steel. So had you use a small section of tubing and the site plates to cover the open space it would frame stronger and safer. This is commonly called a goose neck headstock.
Your design looks pretty but I wouldn’t plan on doing any wheelies on that frame once it’s done.

See I’m in a situation where I have two grom clones basically exactly the same. One has a title, but it’s been wrecked and totaled. It’s been my main bike for 2 years. And another where I bought the bike off somebody and have been fighting over the title for a little over a year now and I spent 800 on the bike. I’ve been really wanting to get back to riding and been thinking of just cutting the gooseneck off of the frame with my title and welding it to the other frame. The gooseneck has the vin number. I have the bill of sale to the second bike with the guys signature that was verified by his ID. And I’ve had a cop run the vin number and check the bill of sale and he said everything was good I’d just have to have a title to register it. Would I be in the wrong if I just cut the gooseneck off of the titled bike and welded it to the other so I can have a running and riding bike again with a title?

      You're onto some great endeavors!
I have found a decent frame jig invaluable th-cam.com/video/0NdjDi95NFA/w-d-xo.html
A good weld table to fixture to is also well worth the money th-cam.com/video/9mAGmKI_Y0o/w-d-xo.html
a decent tubing bender has been very helpful th-cam.com/video/QcGEaKBBi1g/w-d-xo.html
Tip: Some guys recommend attaching the head tube last to minimize distorsion in the frame. However I think this depends on how you are abe to fixture things.
#1 tip: expect to make mistakes and give yourself the permission to do so and try again as well as don't go all high end pricey components on the first one.

The Harley one that I used came from Bitter End Choppers. There's a link in the video description
