Thx I learned a lot. What is the difference between a high pressure tip and a soft wash pressure tip? Can you provide links to both so that I can try and understand. TY
Thank you for this demo I was on the fence about Wood Wizard or other cleaning agents because I'm still using SH and I've used other products in the past and they barely put a dent on the green and the black
So wood can fur with any pressurized cleaning. But no i do not get any furing out. I also have cleaned a lot of wood so my technique helps to prevent it.
It would really help to know the PSI of your pressure washer as most people cannot afford a commercial pressure washer and end up with a box store version with 1200 PSI. In which case pressure isn't that big of a deal. Mine has 4600 PSI..
You don’t need anything over 1800 psi to do any job and it’s really more of a gimmick to sell people pressure washers over 3000. Nozzles and distance control psi. GPM (gallons per minute) tells you how efficient it is . 2.5-4 gpm is a good heavy duty working range for a portable unit. But I would not advise using high pressure on anything but stonework and concrete. You want to do your research on chemical mixing and technique, as well as operating the machine itself. It sounds pricey, but a $700 pressure washer with a $200 surface cleaner attachment and a $150 x-jet will literally clean every inch of your property flawlessly for decades if you do your homework on chemicals and maintenance.
Yes i do. I had left it at my shop. So that’s why that was not in the video. I have to do it when i go back unfortunately. But honestly the deck doesn’t even need it. Wood wizard does a really good job with out oxalic acid wash. Plus i am going darker on stain. So you will not see a lot of the grain technically.
Start an LLC: the company gets sued, not you. Costs about $100 in most states. Never work without general liability insurance. It’s like 80-90 bucks a month if you shop around and covers six figures of property damage. And always work with a signed contract in hand. No contract, no job. Research your chemical mixes and techniques. Pre and post-rinse all the greenery around your client’s property. Plants can only absorb so much liquid and if you rinse off the leaves during the job you’re fine. I’ve had zero complaints. And stop letting your wife discourage you from pursuing a better life. If some people had their way you’d be perpetually on the verge of financial destruction with a steady “safe” income and slowly circling the drain while somebody else tells you what you’re worth. If you’ve been the guy who goes the extra mile at every job you’ve ever had, you’ll succeed, guaranteed. It might take one or two tries, you might take some risks that make you uncomfortable. You might jump into some debt and hardship, but even a little financial literacy will tell you it’s better to be hundreds of thousands in debt with the potential to earn it all back inside of a calendar year than to be debt free and doomed to $25/hr while the cost of living only ever goes up. Look at all the boomers now trying to retire, thinking they were financially stable but not accounting for the uncertainties of the future.
@@WelsHomEx Really appreciate your knowledge, feedback and inspiration. And yes, I am that guy. I’m a retired ups driver that pumped out 200+ stops a day and would do anything for customers, they all had my cell, so that I could be there in 5min if they needed me. Recently retired but I have to supplement my so so retirement after 33yrs. My wife wants me to get a job at Trader Joe’s. I said, absolutely not, I’m not clocking in again for $16hr after taxes! Made that mistake when I was 18 and stuck w it for over 30yrs. I’ve been scrambling to find something customer service oriented that I where I could earn a decent wage based on my efforts and found this niche. I don’t see anyone offering this service in my area. I inquired about insurance because my wife said, “ what you damage a roof and we get sued”? it’s a valid concern Any I appreciate your thorough explanation of all things 👊🏻
It not only delivers every time. But the complete simplicity of it!!! No having to worry about fully saturating the little powder pellets. I will happily pay for the convenience cause it speeds up process big time and has a big punch on strength of cleaner. It can clean some really bad in shape wood.
Very interesting! Considering they have worked flawlessly for me on almost anything i have tried cleaning with their chemicals. I will continue to use SESW chemicals cause they do work.
If it works well why not use it? We make good money pressure washing, I use wood wizard as well, and the results have been great for me and my clients love the results. Don't be cheap...you gotta spend money to make money. Great video
Bro I’m with you when it comes to over paying for some products at SESF, but if there was one chem that I absolutely will pay for its wood wizard. I mean who knows maybe there’s a mix out there that compares but this has been incomparable to anything I’ve tried. It’s worth checking out.
The only rip off is not charging enough. Then you’re ripping yourself off. I swear by these chems, especially Wiz, Ox-Knox, Mud Mayday, and Rust Remedy. I’ve tried all the name brands and SESW has the best
Never use SESW they are overpriced and take advantage of people in the industry, learn to mix your own or at least support a company that is good to the community/industry.
Great job! I used to use a really good powder mix as well. I still use their stain, but I’ve made the switch to the Wiz!
Looks amazing! Cant wait to use this.
Thank you! Best review of this product yet!
Glad it was helpful!

This will make a dent on the green stuff. Good flood coat with proper dwell time. It will melt away

Ive been wondering how the pros do it

Bro get on marketplace and get a used machine
Do you ever use oxalic afterwards? If so, when would you need to and when would you not need to?

No need for oxalic acid to neutralize the base and brighten the wood?
I did it off camera next day. I accidentally left the oxalic at the shop.
The deck is also getting completely rewashed. I just got it clean for Mother’s Day gathering of family.
Would a turbo nozzle be ok for this?
Never use a turbo nozzle on wood. White tip, possibly an xjet or 25 degree on jrod
@@johnwiechel thanks bro!
Yea i would never use a turbo tip
Did you have to use a scrub brush?
Nope no scrub at all.

Yep, I have a local supplier that I use. Their products are great, and will at least talk to you if you have an issue with anything.
Where do you suggest we find this chemical;1-for less, 2-that if powdered dissolves & won’t clog the applicator tip?
