How much did you charge for the cleaning on this project and how much for staining it? Starting a business soon and just trying to figure out pricing so any input would be appreciated. Thanks, awesome job.
@@kalibmilner877 Yeah man, absolutely ridiculous pricing... just buy raw 100% sodium metasilicate and mix yourself. This way you'll actually be profitable.
We can only charge $3 to 5 a step for SH wash. Double the number if using this method. I always give both prices for cleaning wood and explain what using bleach what do and normally my customers still go with the lower priced option. Don't forget to charge chemical cost on top of service cost those are two separate things are typically charge $39 a gallon and $49 service fee. $198 per 100sqft of deck space. Georgia Market.
What PSI does your pump put out? Did great job and I’ll be order some today. My pressure washer just goes to 2550 psi and hope it’s enough which I bet is. What a good residential pressure washer to do my new concrete driveway with that gets dirty from a 75 ft tall pine tree? Want to use one of those flat washers when needed to. Thanks for the great video.
Looks like he used the 10 GPM judging from the flow anyway. Not sure if the 5 GPM would be any different with how much chem it would pull? If it was the 10 GPM, I would think that he would use the Xjet wide open with no proportioners. I watched a lot of videos from Deck Restoration Plus and they always say to pre-wet the wood. Didn’t look like he did that but the results came out looking great. I wonder if pre-wetting is even necessary?
It’s never been an issue for me. You’re supposed to wet the wood first to keep any chemical from seeping into the wood. When cleaning with SH your cleaning the surface only. Wet the wood first then apply a downstream mix of less than 1%.

I’ve seen a couple videos and I’m wondering if you just got a loan for all of your tools or if you’ve been doing it for a while I can’t tell when people start using stuff like an ex jet instead of a downstream injector. It looks like they have no idea what they’re doing, I get it the ex jet works but constantly having to drag around your 5 gallon bucket on grass not good. The fourth video I’ve watched probably I just can’t tell if this guy’s somewhere where he can’t buy liquid chlorine easy or doesn’t have any Pressure Washing stores near him to give him advice like the fact that he should be using a four tipped Jrod set up instead of a jet head. 3080 rinse fan tip and you wouldn’t have left those lines on the handrails every time you were stopping.
he was prepping for a stain so you dont really need it, oxalic acid is a cosmetic thing and when they stain it the brightened wood would be covered up anyway
9/10 times it was straight chem out the bucket. It dilutes itself with the water from the pressure washer as it pulls up the siphon hose and sprays out. He probably had a 4:1 ratio. As wood wizard prefers on the directions
Don't forget to treat with oxalic acid and rinse to neutralize the chemical and open the wood pores for staining. Nice video.
Very informative video...thank you
Awesome job. What are you charging for wood cleaning? Per sqft
Nice work man!! Which ratio tip did you use in your X-Jet?
Love your tip on the m5 twist on the wand. Did to decks today wanded that way with no lines!
I got to say I was not expecting the product to work that well!

Probably not enough considering that 5 gallon jug from Southeast soft wash is about $168 to deliver to your door.

Thank you very much for your effort to make us better
whats the minimun price to charge for something like that
Looks great. Which dilution tip did you use for inside the xjet barb? Or was it wide open?
Thank you
What did you charge for something like that and how long did it take? I’m new and haven’t done wood work yet- Great job!

Looks like a lot of sanding to get wood smooth to stain…..what kind of stain do you use for the finish ?
Very nice brother! Everyone remember to be careful to not strip paint off the the structure when your that close to the handrail :)
Very Nice . Yours is Superior 😄😮
Great job...but do I see some stop and start marks? Or is that just going to happen?🤷
Easy to avoid, I just didn’t care on this one because we are staining this deck and a solid stain
Even a solid acrylic stain will show start and stop marks ….it actually does matter …you should always care about not getting the marks…
As usual great info and awesome job
Any risks for a pool using this chemical !? Thanks !
Great job!!!

What PSI you at when rinsing?
Did you dilute the wood wizard before DS or just straight from bucket?
Straight
@@strongarmwashers thanks!
Can you use wood wizard on pressure treated wood????

Wowww! That turned in to some gd wood. That’s what she said
Have to say it dose work better than SH
Tried this stuff twice and I can’t seem to get results like this. It darkens the wood I’ve used it on, what could I be doing wrong?
To weak of a mix
If the wood darkens, which happens a lot, hit it with oxalic acid afterward to brighten it back up.
Might be a stained or sealed deck he said don't use it on these types.

Did you just do straight chem with not water out the bucket? Or did u dilute it with water?
The x jet pulls straight chem from the bucket and mixes it with water in the nozzle. No need to dilute just put the nozzle for the ratio you want

Why not just mix your own and save a TON of money on chemical costs?
What chem
Man i get the same results with 0 lines using the m5 twist. Less pressure than the xjet. Only reason i say this is i saw some lines at 5:31
Easy to do without doing so.
Only reason I wasn’t as careful is because we are staining these decks in solid stain.

Oxalic after?

Oxallic also technically balances Ph of wood after SH, allowing wood to receive the stain better. So the question still applies I would say.
You need to neutralize the script. And balance out the PH level
how does it look after it dries
