Dreamcast VMU - My First experience

The Dreamcast VMU (Visual Memory Unit) is a multifunctional accessory for the Sega Dreamcast console, released in 1999. It acts as a memory card with 128 KB of storage for saving game progress and data, and it features a small monochrome LCD screen for displaying additional in-game information, such as maps and stats. The VMU also supports mini-games that can be played on the go, thanks to its D-pad and buttons. Some games use the VMU for unique functions, like raising virtual pets in "Sonic Adventure" or showing plays in "NFL 2K." It was innovative for its time and remains a memorable part of the Dreamcast experience.

if i purchase one iin new condition in 2024, do you recommand me to change battery before use ? i mean, i must be a 20 years old battery. batteries has expiring dates.
