I feel like this is maybe the Bee Gees most under-rated song, it hardly gets any radio play and most people have never heard of it. It's one of my favourites. Songs remind us of times in our lives and this takes me right back to uni as I'd taped it off the radio onto a mixtape I played throughout my first year :)

I was the same man, I am only 29 and I've got one kidney from birth. Plus other conditions. I've had constant problems with my kidney due to bladder issues since 5 years ago. About 3 years ago I suffered acute kidney failure and this song really captured the emotions and thoughts going through my head.

Every time I hear song it deeply touches me, and I just feel myself wanting more of this and more of them - few songs do that to me (and when they do it's almost always the Bee Gees). I really wish we had the technology to preserved these three men forever, and never have to know a world without them in it. 😥

@Carolyn Braswell He said he'd give up all their past achievements/hits/fame if he could have them back, yeah. I can't imagine the pain and guilt he's had to live with having been on bad terms with each of his brothers when they passed away, although you could see how defeated he felt when he appeared publicly on a few occasions, and the fact that he fell into a pretty bad depression and pulled back from everyone there for a while says a lot. :( Thankfully it seems now he's finally found it within himself to forgive himself, mainly by choosing to live 'in the now' - in the moment, and realize that life has to go on.

Oh my gosh. This song is so beautiful. When I was a young girl, Barry was my favorite, however at 50, I'm rediscovering them and I realize that Robin is the absolute best. His voice is incredible. It almost makes me cry how beautiful it is. I wish I could go back to the 70's and relive their career all over again. So sad that Robin, Maurice and Andy are all gone. RIP beautiful angels.
A somewhat hidden Gem in that group (that's how I sometimes feel about Robin and his great voice). I am a new fan myself and watching everything I can find.

Theresa Lacey we don't know anything about Maurice, all praises and appreciation go to Barry and Robin, but not to Maurice. Was he perhaps the least talented ? Anyway he is integral part of the trio and his presence in the band is familiar to us and we cannot visualize the band without him. When we say a trio, it means the three Gibbs brothers and Maurice cannot be forgotten

.I remember at the time,the huge comeback with you win again,but the songs that followed ,although popular,were not classed as some of the Bee Gees best work.
But as you listen to it now,it really is hit after hit,with all those classic Bee Gees trademarks.
Musical skill,and harmonies ,the vast majority of artists today could never hope to get anywhere near.

Born in 1954 and had the pleasure to grow up with this wonderful music, my favourite group brought my 4 Sons up listening to this music, still listen to them everyday ❤️ ♥️
Everyone of their songs are brilliant and I watched their documentary about the story about their lives and it brought me to tears and I can relate to them with their story. And what made me fall to pieces was when Barry said that if could give up everything with the fame etc he would do it if it meant he could just have his brothers back in his life again and then I just broke down in tears
I saw that documentary too and thought that when Barry said what he did about giving up the fame and hits to have his brothers back, he brought it all home, you can not beat family regardless of fame and fortune. In fact you cant buy family love no matter how much fortune you have. Thought he was very truthful saying that. Respect.

This came out when my son of 2o got run over by a motorbike bike as he lay in a coma on the Rd a car went over him no hope too long a story when the medics and police attended no hope he was taken to a room next to the morgue with a tag on his big toe I could hear medics pounding on his chest he survived that bit taken to intensive care in a coma for 6wks teeth knocked out legs and arms broken spleen removed punctured lung etc 4hr brain op part of skull removed told no hope by Dr's he's still here at 52 many problems but to see him you wouldn't know I said to Jesus if u spare him I will put up with anything he's tested me I lost my daughter and other son Yr half apart a few yrs ago thank u for taking the time to read this

I just saw a documentary about them which explained the hard time they had after their biggest successes. They even stopped performing, but after a while they started writing songs for other artists. They have written more than 1000 songs.

I had to hunt this song down I absolutely love it.. For me it is one of the bee gees best songs along with you win again.. They truly were superb songwriters and singers.. Special mention to Robin whose haunting soulful voice gives me shivers .. Sadly it'll be a long time before a group with their talent, harmonies etc will come along again... . Robin's voice is the reason I am still listening to and still enjoying BeeGees last forty something years.

It’s very difficult to name favourite songs. Bee Gees wrote so many immortal songs, if I pick one others come to mind that could be even better. Impossible! But For Whom The Bell Tolls is definitely one of the best.
