So after taking January off from doing reviews I'm back in the swing of things! Cal is one I was looking forward to doing. I feel like he's an easily overlooked figure because of the popularity of The Mandalorian, but don't over look this figure, no matter how small BD-1 is.

Cal was actually the first Black series figure I bought and it led me to picking up several more. My only complaint with the figure is that his hair wasn't reddish enough. The shade was just too light. I've since painted and shaded it to be closer to the game model, but other than that no complaints.
That’s fair, it definitely does look a little too light now that you mention it. Color has always been something I have trouble picking up on
Hey mike I recently built this love for black series figures and have loved your videos on them since I first found you. I always check to see if you have a review before buying certain figures. There’s a certain aspect I find about your videos that I love that I can’t find in other reviewers, but I can’t place my finger on it. I haven’t played Jedi fallen order yet but decided to watch this anyways just because I’ve felt mike deprived lately so thank you for uploading another review. Just to clear things up...
The voice actor of Cal actually did all the movements of Cal through motion-capturing.
What I mean by that is, he did all the flips, the jumps, the fighting... so basically he didn’t just do voice acting is what I wanted to say.😊

Cool, I imagine this is what Anikan Sole would look like if Disney had not decided to ignore the expanded Universe. That is the only reason why I would get this to display next to Jaine. Have you seen the new Imperial Transport (from the Mandalorian) incredable detailed.
Disney hasn’t ignored the expanded universe. They’ve brought a lot of it back into official canon. Rebels is full of old EU stuff that was never proper canon in the first place. Like interdictor cruisers and Thrawn.

I love this figure, got mine off amazon a while back since I didn't have the money on force friday after everything else I bought lol And the game is super fun!! Very challenging, but if you ever have moment and you're looking for a challenge and want to enjoy something new from star wars, you should totally try it out. Once I got my preorder I played the game for 16 hours straight..
I need to get a properly system to play it on. I either need to build a gaming pc or buy an Xbox or ps4

Jedi Fallen Order was a great game and this is a really good "animated to real life" figure. I agree about the lack of accessories though. Don't get me wrong, BD-1 is a great little droid, but that lightsaber hilt is soooo plain and he needed a standard poncho since he wears it in like 95% of the game. I guess I feel that this could have been a $30 figure with the addition of a poncho and a lightsaber hilt that allows it to turn into a double-ended lightsaber (with different color blades to add in). But overall it's still a really solid figure.

I really like this figure. The one I have has loose legs so getting him to stand is a bit difficult. Its also hard to get this figure in cool actiony poses. I posed my second sister in the stance she has in the game (she has loose legs so she likes to fall over a lot too). The cape is rather annoying though cause it keeps getting in the way
Loose legs is a problem with some figures and it sucks
Sadly I missed this figure.. loved the game, I hope they restock him at some point because I don’t want to pay more than retail for him
i hope they get him out again for people like yourself! maybe an alternate version from the game in the Gaming Greats subline.

It's okay. I'm not in a hurry to rush out and get one though. My son, on the other hand, is enthusiastic to buy one. He plays the game a lot though and that probably has a lot to do with it. While I can go either way with the figure, I do wish I owned a pair of robot pants.

if they did anything as far as the customization of the game i think they should have given you the option for the full double bladed lightsaber. fuck a soft goods

Butt warmer...hilarious. This is a droid with Jedi accessory to me. Drop the light saber and he’s a cool denizen of the Wars-verse. I didn’t see the Dash correlation but yeah I can see why that may have appealed to my subconscious and the positive feelings for that character. That may not have been by accident. Cal is just a maintenance guy in my Wars-displaying lately. But that’s until the twisted sister Inquisitor shows up with her double bladed light saber. Then it’s on.

Appreciate the review big fan of yours , but I’m wondering do you know if they are coming out with these 2 figures FO: Mountain trooper single car release and FO: storm trooper updated elbows with the standard FO blaster rifle instead of the riot baton/shield and a pistol?
I really don’t know. But it would be nice, I know a lot of people would like Hondo to be released in the regular line too
Mike Kaess I would like to see more resistance troopers though to battle my FO sith/storm troopers my first order army is looking very nice but my resistance army shelf is really .... empty

Sure, but a lot of time when Hasbro gets images for this stuff is preproduction. They learnt used the box art for reference instead of the game. And being as how I haven’t played the game, he looks like the art I’ve seen, and looks good.

Sorry Mike.,Cal could've been better? His head.,the moment you pose him looking sidewards., goes upwards. His butterfly shoulders are rendered useless due to his hard plastic tunic (common on figures with them lately.,).. Every lightsaber wielding character with these joints should at least do a proper cross guard action.,,NO EXCEPTION! Hypocritically.,we have him on the shelf with everyone else and love him. I think those are fair things to say. I noticed the head but I didn’t realize it was sort of an issue until I did my photo shoot, and that’s way after I’ve shot and edited the review, so by then it was too late to finish. If I could redo my review, I would lower the articulation a bit, but it would still be 4.5 score or so.

He didn’t play Pennywise. And yeah, he did play joker in Gotham, but i never watched past season of that show, I thought it was dumb.

Aw cum on he looks nothing like the guy in the game..he looks like the art on thebox who ever that is...Cameron has avery distinct square head and jawline..its a nice head sculpt but its like not even trying to be him...my guess is they couldn't use his like becase DC were using it for his joker figures...have a look at them you will see what he actually looks like
He’s not supposed to look like Cameron. When they were sculpting him they probably only had the promotional art to go on, and he looks spot on to that.

I only talk about how he got his saber because it’s relevant. I don’t talk about anything else that relates to the story. But fair enough.
Hair is over rated. I save a ton of time in the shower just soaping my dome. Plus, girlies like to rub my head, so win-win imo.
