Sideous was very selfish he wanted to be the only 1 & thought he would be.

I love this character. He is one of my all time favorite. After finishing the Darth Plagueis novel, I was ready for another full Sidious focused novel! Love the Legend continuity of his capabilities and intent as well. The more you cover, the better! cheers mate.

How so ???His temple was never destroyed on top of that all the knowledge there belonged to Naga Sadow who only lived a millenium before Exar Kun

I have a question. Did Marka Ragnos make a Holocron? We know about his artifacts but what about his knowledge? He accepted death. Was his plan just to hoard it all as a Force ghost?
First comment!! I know sidious possessed quite a few holocrons from Sith Lords past and bestowed them on his main apprentices to supplement their training. Also thank you sooo much for following ledgends btw. I think sidious didn’t acknowledge the main reason bane adopted the rule of two. There was always a chance that his own followers could band together and rise against him but his own overconfidence blinded him to this very real threat.

They need to have made it so that holocrons can like be imprinted by the force user telepathically copying their knowledge (or a specific section) over. Time saving.

Were there ever instances where the training of a Jedi Padawan was started by one Master and finished by another for reasons other than the death?
Does Lore ever talk about Masters who wanted to pass off, or ones who wanted to train another; or a Padawan who, partway through, wanted to be trained by another?
Yes, I would love to have a detailed look at all three of Sidious's books of Sith and what they entail as well and when he possibly wrote them during his lifetime in star wars lore (legends and canon-current). Thanks. P.S. Can you also do a detailed history of the Telos Holocron and of it's importance and how, when it was made, also how long it's existed, etc., and it's uniqueness and also compare it to the most important Jedi holocron-whatever that maybe. Suggestion: you could do a video detailing the most important Jedi holocron in Star Wars lore: description, history, who created it, etc., how long it's existed, etc.

@@EmberedAshe the Emperor never intended to give up any power. He always intended to be the last of the Sith, even when he was training under darth plagueis. His power was the culmination of 1000 years of Sith improvement and power building through the rule of two. Vader might’ve been a close equal partner to share his rule with possibly before what happened at mustafar but the emperor would always keep a way to defeat him in his back pocket because he knows the Sith always turn on each other when there is power equity

Palpatine believing himself capable of becoming so powerful that he foresaw his legacy as being a legacy so ancient his words were only a whisper of the past is both amazing hubris and kind of frightening.

I would guess he made his personality the gatekeeper specifically so he could insure that any who happened to get there hands on the holocron would be judged by him on their worthiness of it's knowledge, Like if they displayed any signs of being members of one of his orders that they could access no knowledge beyond what he had decided that order should know

I think it was fitting Sidous did not make a Holocron of his own but it was still a foolish idea, though I do share his agreement safeguard knowledge is an art but it much better idea to help future new starters of the Rule of Two

Darksidious was wise to put all his knowledge and their agent Harley crime as well as putting in in all three books that way, even if the whole crown got destroyed all the knowledge is in the 📕 so it’s brilliant and maybe just maybe what if he makes contact from the real chaos Realm through a special ritual that he could learn from the night sister one day, and once she finds out the truth, secrets of the night sisters then he could make himself a perfect body, as well as learn to make a perfect host like they did with the two sisters and the show acolyte except brothers instead and using them only to use them as host and a sacrifice and imagine if he could whenever he dies, they come back to life and whenever they die he comes back to life and it’s a circle all over again and again never stopping until the Jedi somehow separate him from the chaos realms

... I have that book. Or rather, I have the book of Sith. There are few more chapters to it. Excerpt chapters by other Sith, or other Dark-Siders. Annotated by various people.
In regards of whether old Palpy should've made a holocron or not... A book can be more easily hidden. Copied. Spread to those who might seek power. Kept away from those who would recognize a holocron for what it is, and destroy it. A book... Is just a book, after all. No harm in owning one.

I always got the sense that he believed he would be the last Sith, or at the very least the only Sith to accomplish the goal of immortality. If so, why bother leaving anything for future Sith?

Sheev Palpatine is a narrow minded psychopath. He doesn't share, he takes. He also made it abundantly clear in the Book Of The Sith. Anyone who hasn't read it should, ot paints a whole new perspective who the Sith Lords really are. But always remember it's the Rakatans who paved the way to the Sith Lords and left behind their technology as a starter pack.

He likely NEVER expected to need to. Along sources basically spell out he figured he was THE END of the Rule of 2 in a way that'd mean like many things a Sideous Holocron was a thing of the Sith past. An the Darkside an Sith had HIM now.. no further Holocrons needed.. can imagine one made by him would be a VERY to extremely deviou, manipulative an tricky one perhaps even risky an dangerous to get approval to study from

He wrote books and such like Book of the Sith, as more of vanity projects for prosterity, rather than to write for those who come after him
