You guys are one of the best things about the Internet. Since I was late to Black Series When I find an older figure on the cheap. I can go back and see what Out of the Basement has/had to say about it. You guys do great work, solid video Nate.

They’ve been “sold out” on the website since the week they released and haven’t been restocked and there aren’t any known plans of a second run. My best guess is that a employee had put it aside to purchase later but either quit or was fired before they actually purchased it. It’s because of GameStop’s high turnover rate and all the cool merch they get, this is actually far more common than many realize. It really depends on individual store managers, but most allow it, so there is usually one drawer with items associates are saving for themselves until they can afford to pay for them. Some managers will only allow one item at a time, and restrict the hold to a month, others allow them to hold as many items as they want, within reason, of course, and let them be kept aside for as long as the employee might need to in order to save up to buy it. Long story short, this figure was (and still is) an EXTREMELY high demand figure, and its exclusivity to GameStop only increases its scarcity. Where I live, I never saw a single one make it to the sales floor as they either sold as soon as they were put out, or the employees snagged them all. This is why I believe this is what happened in your case to have gotten one so long after they had already been “sold out” for months.. lucky little such and such...
Cal looks fantastic. Honestly, i was going to pass on this guy as have the previous version but with all of the cool accessories that comes with this new version it really is a worthy pick up and warrants the deluxe name tag. Awesome review Nate.😎

The original cal kestis on eBay shot up in price around the time I played the game and wanted the figure. Good thing this new one came out with the cool accessories. Great review and nice comparison between the old and new figure, they look cool side by side.

I don't like the colour scheme but I've missed out on the vanilla one, so I am waiting for a pre-order of this. I see that you can't remove the poncho which is extremely disappointing. I hope to get Cal in Vintage Colleciton with poncho acessories.

I just got him online and I can’t wait for it to come. I was surprised to see that the website I bought it had the og cal for $105 and this one for $48.
Ended up picking him up.. no idea if he’s been trying-tooled/resculpted, but the hod doesn’t look nearly as ridiculous as yours appears. His head goes much further in for a better looking fit.
The figure is not retooled, but the costume is different and the reason it's worth it is all the accessories it comes with. The hood is definitely silly! Thanks for checking out the review. -Justin

Great review Nate (even though this is the second time I'm watching it)! Tbh, this is an all around great figure, except for the fact that he's wearing a jumpsuit that's orange/yellow orange.As soon as I saw the yellow orange color on his jumpsuit in the original reveal images, I was instantly turned off by it, which kind of sucks cuz I love everything else about it. In addition, I already have the original Cal figure still in my collection so yeah.
I like the outfit just on the principle that it's a different outfit from the original figure. I like to at least have the variety. The accessories alone make up for it! Especially for $29.99! Gotta love the Jedi holocron and the Bogling. Thanks for checking out the review, Vader! -Justin
Wow, really Great content. It seems like the video has a greenish yellow tint and it feels a bit washed out. A quick color correction on future videos wouldn't hurt. Again, great content, really enjoyed this review.

Is this photo real face supposed to be Cameron Monaghan, who played Cal in Fallen Order? If so I guess it's passable in the right lighting but I don't know, it looks human for sure but I'd like to see the likeness nailed better imo
The original version of this figure came out in 2019, I actually do remember hearing that this head was based off some kind of concept art but I could be wrong. It certainly doesn’t look exactly like Cameron. Not sure! -Justin
