Thank you for uploading the videos. We are going the same way next April, however, extend the trip all the way to Munich through Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and so on. So, I''m happy to see some road snippets to better understand how to prepare and how/what to pack. Thanks again.
@@albertothd Yes, I'm going with my Africa Twin, and my friends will go with a BMW 1250 GS(A). We are starting in Chiang Mai (where I live) and ending in Garmisch / Munich. Thanks for your videos, I know how much time/work it takes to cut them and put them together again. Thanks
@@albertothd No, for all the countries we are crossing through, we do not need a CDP. It is not easy to get a CDP for Thai registered motorcycle, and you need to deposit a bigger amount of money as collateral. But again, none of the countries we are going through, including Azerbaijan and Georgia (and then crossing the Black Sea to Romania), we need a CDP. The other good news is, with a European (German) passport, all the 'Stan' countries (except Turkmenistan) are now visa-free (or VOA), which makes the planning so much easier. We are a bit on schedule, as we have to be at the BMW Motorrad Days in Garmisch Patenkirchen (south of Munich) on 3. July (with the BMWs), but we can not start earlier because of potential snowy conditions in Tibet in April. 22,000 km in 90 days. Here we come, hence I'm so thankful for all your little detailed hints, ets. Helps a lot for the planning to pack (light). Muchos gracias
You are very good at picking routes, there are few cars, the scenery is beautiful, I see other motorcycle bloggers taking the route of Yunnan is the most car and the most chaotic route, obviously the guide will not find the route
