Mr Burns head being literally made of dust is hilarious. And hell yeah an epic SNAKE cameo!
This has more blood in it than a Treehouse of Horrors episode. Also that burn Homer got was brutal.

This is literally the best modern Simpsons episode in existence.
That joke about who killed Mr. Burns followed by those few chuckles is everything! Literally laughed out loud.

I really like how the credits are written in a font that looks like they were written with a typewriter.
I like episodes like these because they have big stakes, I’d honestly love for a series finale to be like this and the TOH, but it’s all canon.
I feel like if the treehouse of horrors were canon Springfield would be a desolate wasteland lol

Season 33 has been great and I love how experimental they've been with it.
They opened with a full blown musical, had a ToH with five parts, a status quo change with Moe (and it looks like they'll have one for Smithers), and this awesome two-partner.

I loved the Fargo series and I was super excited for this episode. It was done Extremely well. I was surprised by the amount of blood, but boy did it take you away from the other Simpsons episodes for a bit. The writers of this episode have to keep doing what they did

I love how Modern Simpsons is experimenting more then old episodes. We haven't seen anything so interesting since "Who Shot Mr. Burns?"

This episode was great way to start the holidays
Two things:
1. I'm literally obsessed with this special. My favorite Simpsons episodes nowadays are the non canon ones where they can experiment and do whatever they want, and this is a perfect example. The character work, the different style, the way they go darker...beautiful
2. Umbrella Academy is one of my favorite series so seeing one of my favorite TH-camrs mention it was awesome
6:41 Well, That explains how Mr. Burns is over a thousand years old (that would be a good explanation especially explaining how he and Abe Simpson served in the military together considering them being that far a part in age)
Season 33 has been great so far. Hope they keep up this quality for many seasons to come.

I am so glad that Lydia mentioned Breaking Bad in this review along with The Simpsons it is my favorite show of all time and my mother knows that I'm obsessed with it and when I first watched this two-parter for the first time she thought with her heart of hearts that it was a Breaking Bad omage. And I can't agree with you enough The Simpsons needs to do a full-on episode or multi episode Breaking Bad parody

I absolutely loved this 2 parter, it was incredible and I hope that this is the a sign the series might even get a bit better until it inevitably dies

Ngl, I haven't watched Simpsons in quite some time and initially clicked onto this video thinking it was a non-joking kill count Flanders has had throughout the series. Very different than what I thought, but still very enjoyable and intriguing.
Fantastic episode and hope they make more like it!! Love your videos and am a huge fan of the Bullies (Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney), would love a timeline for them if possible.

This was a phenomenal episode!! Almost wish they would've made it to the length of a movie and we could have had a great second Simpsons movie!
Maybe I missed it, But I feel that the scar around the eye Is a reference to Ed Harris's character in a history of violence
It’s interesting that this episode has the highest ratings of the simpsons history when it’s part of modern simpsons which many people believe to be trash

That scene where Flanders and the Simpsons drive by each other reminds me of that scene from the Umbrella academy which reminds me of that scene from Malcolm in the Middle
Season 33 of the simpons was really great I would give season 33 an academy award
I loved this two-part storyline, I hope to do more like this one.

I did enjoy this ep and hope they experiment with this style in following seasons, like once in a year, kinda like when South Park made mini arcs on a singular story once a season. They made them feel much more than they actually are

After hearing your review of this episode I think I will check it out and I agree with your point if your no longer concern on continuity, like there real ever was, then I think that the new season should consist of genre bending episodes such as this one, now not saying they need to do all 24 episodes in this format but at least 3 or 4 a season so at the very least 2, 2 parters.
Lately they have had so manny characters tied to chairs ( in a few episodes.) it is pretty creepy. ( and im creeped out by the word “abduct” ) But good its still comedy and not always cannon . (i thanked some of the staff and cast for making the episode!)a fiend also said the same thing! “Flanders has a type lol”

I have to wonder... what happened to Rod and Todd when the cabin was being fired upon? They aren't exactly the sharpest crayons in the box.
I never thought Simpsons would be doing kills anymore other than the Halloween Horror series. But this was the best I have seen today!
Might be one of my top 5 episodes of all time.

It's surprising to learn the simpsons haven't done a Ned breaking bad parody
Simpsons never really resorted to graphic violence outside of Treehouse of Horror. This was a welcome direction for them to try if only for an episode. The high rating on IMDB is well-deserved.
The ice lake scene was the final scene of Fargo with Martin Freeman’s character. I guess they couldn’t kill Ned off as easily

I've been watching since it first came out back when I was a kid and seen every episode and this is seriously in my top favorites. With some of the quality issues due to storylines being done maybe they should do a few episodes in this style. Do some non canon simpsonized versions of top movies

I forgot that girls name but she does look like Maude Flanders and interesting fact someone online said in a later episode that she divorces sideshow Mel after realizing he’s trying to kill innocent BART Simpson and she marries Ned Flanders yes it’s a canon episode

Would Kostas qualify as a "Complete Monster"? Even though this two-parter was non-canon, people already see Kostas as _the_ most evil villain in the franchise.
