It's like how in the Family Guy episode Three Kings, All three chapters have a non-crippled Joe become handicapped, even briefly.
I'm really glad Homer and Bart's heads exploded off screen in the last one. Still, the soft pops were enough. Poor celebs. Looking forward to the next one! In particular, the one where the gypsy curses Homer. I remember four deaths.

"The Shinning" feels like the first actual horror movie parody. As in the Shining with the Simpsons rather than the Simpsons in a setting that just so happens to be inspired by a horror movie.
