I am having flashbacks to being in college in 1989, having discussions in the cloud, and trying so hard to sound intelligent. Every single person involved desperate to be recognized for their brilliance. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha ha ha ha ha.

Cliffe stated that there are only 4 options as to how and why 'everything' came into being. There is a much more logical 5th option that he missed. It's the most obvious answer. As intelligent as human beings are.. we are a clever species, ... our intelligence is limited and we simply do not know how "everything came from nothing", it is way beyond our scope of knowledge. "I do not know" is a very honest answer. Cliffe often uses that phrase himself in his debates with the Students. It's perfectly ok to say "I don't know". The more that we use the scientific method to determine how and why the Universe came into being, the less God comes into the picture. Human beings are pattern seeking creatures, we tend to make up stories to explain things we do not yet understand, human history is littered with creation myths. eg: we found out the real reason why thunder and lightening occur, .. it's not an angry God with a mighty hammer called "Thor". Dear Sir, I have some doubts about God. Hope you find time to clear my doubts. 1. God is understood to be in a state of perfect bliss by default (He hasn't worked hard for it). So, why did he create a universe which lacks this blissful state?? Stones, plants, animals, humans are not in this blissful state naturally. So, why did He create such inferior things/entities/universe? I think this is not a good thing to do. 2. Some, people point out that in the case of humans, we have been given the free will and we have to reach up to God by our own free will be choosing the good deeds and then we will also possess this bliss. But, I think that God also has free will and He never chooses wrong. So, why not give the same kind of free will to humans that they also never choose wrong? Why create something inferior and then say to them that now you should try to become superior?? If God wanted to create beings other than Himself, He should have created them in a perfect manner, just like Himself. Then, there would have been no need/obligation for improvement because everything had been perfect already (Just like God Himself). Some people say creating perfect human beings would be like God creating copies of Himself. I think that creating perfect sentient copies is much better than creating inferior entities and then telling those inferior entities to become superior by working hard for Goodness. Again, we should remember that God hasn't worked hard for His goodness/greatness. So, why expect striving/hardwork from others when you yourself have something by default?? I Hope you will help me. Hi Deepak, firstly I'd like to say that I'm not a Christian as I do not agree with everything that is said in the Bible. I feel there are errors and unloving teachings in it that do not reflect the nature of God or reality. That being said, I'll try to answer your questions the best I can, with the knowledge that is currently at my disposal. The questions are linked in a way. 1) God is perfect and therefore only creates prefect things. He created a perfect set of laws, a perfect universe and perfect beings. When he created the first human couple, they were in a state of perfect human bliss. But due to the fact that they had free will, they could decide to walk away from God, reject God's Love, a substance God was offering to them, and by doing so they imbibed error in their soul which influenced not only their own soul and bodies, but also the animals and the environment. The next generations inherited the errors and multiplied it so now we are having the consequences of that decisions. We believe this is the normal state of the world but it isn't. Because of sin, the world is a much darker and less loving place. 2) God created us as a perfect copy image of Herself. But we were blank slates and we needed to have learning and experience to understand what is free will, how to use it and what are the results of using it in harmony with law and out of harmony with law. We cannot compare ourselves with God, a being who is infinite and without a beginning and an end. We are finite beings, with the potential to grow infinitely but we have to accept a gift God is offering, the gift of His Love, which can only be received if we use our free will and desire to have it. The Love of God is going to transform our heart into a fully alive, emotional, loving, sinless heart. This is achieved by developing a sincere longing of the soul to connect to God and experience His Love. Hope this helps, Kristijan

I feel this is also an unloving proposition because it negates free will. We need to use our will to acquire knowledge. If God would already put all truth in us, we would be God automatically and I don't think that is possible. God created us to be Her children, who grow, learn, have experiences because those things are what bring joy. The journey to God is what has the greatest potential to make us happy.

Why would He create something that is not perfect. Such an act seems evil to me. Such an act of imperfect creation also seems an insult to the creator. In my view an entity who is perfect and resides in perfect bliss can never create anything imperfect. Such an act would be against His very nature, imo. 2. If God really had to create beings.... (but why would someone who is in perfect bliss want that...such an entity has all the wishes already fulfilled by the bliss that He is experiencing. Perfect bliss is an end in itself..there is no room for anything else like love, beauty etc. because perfect bliss encompasses all these things already) Just suppose, He wanted to create beings. Then, it's much better to create perfect copies of oneself. It would be like many perfect brothers loving and caring for each other. Where is the need for creating inferior beings?? You again and again point to free will. But you shouldn't forget that, as God has free will and then also always chooses the right thing, similarly these perfect, immortal brothers/sisters/eunuchs would also have free will and they also would never do anything wrong and such a world would be much-much better than the world that we experience. I have said quite clearly that God did create a perfect universe and perfect beings. All imperfection that we can observe today is the creation of human kind. 2. God wanted to create u because He wanted to share His love with us. He has everything else, except our love. We have to be willing to give love to God, He cannot take it. He did create us perfect, but only in image and not in substance, for the reasons I mentioned earlier, it would be an imposition to inject a part of His nature into us before we ask for it. Also, I've said that if He did create us like He is, we would all be God, and I don't believe this is possible. No one can be God, except God.

I have some doubts about God. Hope you find time to clear my doubts.
1. God is understood to be in a state of perfect bliss by default (He hasn't worked hard for it). So, why did he create a universe which lacks this blissful state?? Stones, plants, animals, humans are not in this blissful state naturally. So, why did He create such inferior things/entities/universe? I think this is not a good thing to do.
2. Some, people point out that in the case of humans, we have been given the free will and we have to reach up to God by our own free will be choosing the good deeds and then we will also possess this bliss.
But, I think that God also has free will and He never chooses wrong. So, why not give the same kind of free will to humans that they also never choose wrong? Why create something inferior and then say to them that now you should try to become superior?? If God wanted to create beings other than Himself, He should have created them in a perfect manner, just like Himself. Then, there would have been no need/obligation for improvement because everything had been perfect already (Just like God Himself).
Some people say creating perfect human beings would be like God creating copies of Himself. I think that creating perfect sentient copies is much better than creating inferior entities and then telling those inferior entities to become superior by working hard for Goodness. Again, we should remember that God hasn't worked hard for His goodness/greatness. So, why expect striving/hardwork from others when you yourself have something by default??

firstly I'd like to say that I'm not a Christian as I do not agree with everything that is said in the Bible. I feel there are errors and unloving teachings in it that do not reflect the nature of God or reality.
That being said, I'll try to answer your questions the best I can, with the knowledge that is currently at my disposal. The questions are linked in a way.
1) God is perfect and therefore only creates prefect things. He created a perfect set of laws, a perfect universe and perfect beings. When he created the first human couple, they were in a state of perfect human bliss. But due to the fact that they had free will, they could decide to walk away from God, reject God's Love, a substance God was offering to them, and by doing so they imbibed error in their soul which influenced not only their own soul and bodies, but also the animals and the environment. The next generations inherited the errors and multiplied it so now we are having the consequences of that decisions. We believe this is the normal state of the world but it isn't. Because of sin, the world is a much darker and less loving place.
2) God created us as a perfect copy image of Herself. But we were blank slates and we needed to have learning and experience to understand what is free will, how to use it and what are the results of using it in harmony with law and out of harmony with law. We cannot compare ourselves with God, a being who is infinite and without a beginning and an end. We are finite beings, with the potential to grow infinitely but we have to accept a gift God is offering, the gift of His Love, which can only be received if we use our free will and desire to have it. The Love of God is going to transform our heart into a fully alive, emotional, loving, sinless heart. This is achieved by developing a sincere longing of the soul to connect to God and experience His Love.

1. You say that Adam and Eve were in a state of perfect human bliss. But, I said that God should have given them the same Godly bliss that He Himself experiences. After all, God has this heavenly bliss by default only...He hasn't worked/worked hard for it. So, why not give this heavenly bliss to His creation 'by default' only.
2. You say that humans need some experience before they can understand the meaning of free will etc. But, God also has free will and He understands everything by default. He hasn't undergone any experience to understand all that he understands. So, why put humans to the test of experience. Why not give all the understanding to humans by default only... Afterall, He also has all the understanding by default.

One of them being is that it would not be loving to inject oneself into a being that has free will without first requesting the consent of that being. I don't know how God is the way He is and i doubt whether I'll ever be able to answer such a question. To understand God, one would have to be God, and I do not see that as a possibility.
2. I feel this is also an unloving proposition because it negates free will. We need to use our will to acquire knowledge. If God would already put all truth in us, we would be God automatically and I don't think that is possible. God created us to be Her children, who grow, learn, have experiences because those things are what bring joy. The journey to God is what has the greatest potential to make us happy.

I said that why should God, who is in a state of perfect bliss, create a world which doesn't have the perfect bliss. Why would He create something that is not perfect. Such an act seems evil to me. Such an act of imperfect creation also seems an insult to the creator. In my view an entity who is perfect and resides in perfect bliss can never create anything imperfect. Such an act would be against His very nature, imo.
2. If God really had to create beings....
(but why would someone who is in perfect bliss want that...such an entity has all the wishes already fulfilled by the bliss that He is experiencing. Perfect bliss is an end in itself..there is no room for anything else like love, beauty etc. because perfect bliss encompasses all these things already)
Just suppose, He wanted to create beings. Then, it's much better to create perfect copies of oneself. It would be like many perfect brothers loving and caring for each other. Where is the need for creating inferior beings??
You again and again point to free will. But you shouldn't forget that, as God has free will and then also always chooses the right thing, similarly these perfect, immortal brothers/sisters/eunuchs would also have free will and they also would never do anything wrong and such a world would be much-much better than the world that we experience.

He did create us perfect, but only in image and not in substance, for the reasons I mentioned earlier, it would be an imposition to inject a part of His nature into us before we ask for it. Also, I've said that if He did create us like He is, we would all be God, and I don't believe this is possible. No one can be God, except God.
