Agree the statement that OEM is pretty good in a mainly Street Car on similar power levels as stock. Just no need to trade off the ease, lower gearbox noise levels with (unnecessarily) high clamping forces, lighter flywheel.
We see it often, people will get a 500WHP rated clutch when they are making 300WHP with the mentality that "more is always better, right?" only to regret it their first drive out. When it comes to clutches, get the one that suites your application, you will always be much happier lol. Thanks, Rick
Its nice to know whats in the box. Unforunately, I can't find an exedy clutch kit for my car. Exedy only sells the friction plate ( EXEDY TD05H ) for my 2010 Scion XB so I will be on the journey of buying everything individiually and mix matching components.
Nice Video, much appreciated! Would you recommend this over the ACT street clutch? Also how is the Throw out bearing with this kit? I’m having trouble with the stock one. I have a 2016 with 33k and this TOB is already starting to fail on me. 🤦🏻♂️ Since I want to replace it, I will do the whole kit as well. Thanks!
+Miko Vollrath This particular one would not, however we do have the stage 1 here in stock for your car. www.rallysportdirect.com/shop/product/exe-15801-exedy-stage-1-organic-disc-clutch-kit Thanks, Rick
I'm a noob on clutches, what will getting this give me that my stock clutch won't? How will it feel or operate differently in my STi (only a couple years old)? And how would it feel/operate different with a performance clutch and/or flywheel upgrade?
+Charles Godewyn This will be identical to your stock clutch in regards to performance and feel. A more performance oriented clutch will generally have a stiffer pedal feel and less pedal modulation, however they offer greater holding power if you are running significantly more power than stock. Thanks, Rick
I bought this from you guys like 6 months ago and everything was fairly easy with instructions and all great purchase!

I'm curious, would this work on the 2010 Legacy 2.5i?
