@@iTuber012 definitely going to pay more in Ghana. The price can differ greatly, depending on the region, how developed the area and so on. But I think the plot size is bigger in Ghana.

Nope , not its not the best option.In such case everybody builds to own codes/standards then you end up with a chaotic looking location. Centrally planned & enforced places are the best.

Can you tweak the properties if you want one built to have walk in closets and a bigger shower and a vanity in the bathroom vs. a pedestal sink? Also can you get one with a dishwasher, washing machines or dryer? I like ceiling fans because I get hot. Last question, are there any property taxes to be paid?

i always had included Rwanda on my list of places to repatriate other than Ghana but i was wondering about their acceptance of the diasporians and citizenship as Ghana offered a year of return for the diaspora. I don't want to buy a house then 3 years later they be saying your visa is expired you gotta go.
and whats the guidelines on shipping your own vehicles??? I know in Ghana they say your car can't be over 10 years old but what if i buy a brand new motor on put it in a body 11-12 years old! if i relocate i would love to bring my antique truck
oh one last comment/question: in ghana when you purchase land its more like a lease purchase for 50 years for foreigners and 99 for citizens then you can reapply. IN RWANDA do the land you purchase become permanently yours or is it similar to ways similar that in Ghana???
You speak from ghana! All English colonise contries are same like you said. But i don't think it same for Rwanda. Kenya too is same 99 years for citizens and 50 for foreigners.
I am from Congo. Once you buy a land is yours. We have only contract with gouvernment for 3 years when you bought and you renew for 3 years After it yours for ever and ever. This contract is to make sure you can build your house. Building house is your for ever and ever. And if you don't die, you can be there for eternity. This 65.00 dollars house? You have to think. Is to law price for me! How long this can last?

I don't like a sink in the dining room, but that must be the custom over there, I'm assuming that the sink is to wash your hands before eating. The bedrooms were too small and had no closets. No bathtub in the master bathroom. There is no laundry room, or an area for a washing machine. Loved the ceilings.

Sorry, i disagree with you. Jackson said "letting" and not "lenting". Jackson is a cool guy because he treats the family with deference. Someone else could have being blunt about what he meant by "letting". "To Let" is commonly used in English speaking African countries for property rental. So, "letting and "renting". Stay healthy.
In Kinyarwanda R and L have the exact same pronunciation. For example< The R in Rwanda is pronounced the same as the L in Kigali .So it becomes very confusing when they have to differentiate them when speaking other languages

@Rashaenka Metal Shutters can be opened and closed at night like the same way you'd open and close a window but opening inwards in a seemless fashion.
Do it at your own risk, lot of petty thieves that will steal your electronics through the window. 😁😁

No but you can get a 20 yr mortgage but you're looking at interest rates of 13% and up with a minimum 10-15% down payment.
How much would it cost to build a 4-5 bd house in Kigali? Maybe 3.5 baths?
40 000$ minimum, plot not included and depending on the neighbourhood you're looking at 500sqm at 20- 30k for posh neighbourhoods and less than half of that if you go a bit out of town.
