Depends on your headset. X Plane does not require anything other than the Oculus software and x plane for my rift s. It's pretty simple really :) If your playing a game on steam you will probably get a play in 2d or vr option. If you hit VR then steam VR opens itself. Hope this helps 🙏

What cpu do you have my friend? Not sure why you wouldn't get better fps than that with the same gear approximately. Tough may have to drop some settings a little. Again not sure why?
@tiggerrardo Well it can help. Depending on the GPU you can get some additional performance quite safely. MSI afterburner is safe and easy to overclock. You should be ablento get plus 100 to say 150 on your core clock. I'm getting 180 but in the past on other cards I could only get 120 so all ca4ds are different. The memory slider can normally go plus 1000, yes it's OK. Plenty of OC tutorials out there. It certianly helps and won't hurt your card. Again my 3070 has plus 180 on the top GPU slider and 1100 on the memory clock. Good luck.
Honestly I can't understand why your not getting better! If I'm flying in on monitor I cam.max out everything and get 60 fps easily. My tuning guide is aimed at VR. With updates since this there is some more demand on the system but this should improver with 12.01 release soon. Lots of system performance enhancements coming.
hello can someone please help me. im currently running Xplane12 on my pc... processor i5 8400, 64 bit. i can run the game Maxed out grahic scenery and it Runs Smooth as butter, But once i plug in my HTC vive VR..., the game plays really laggy.... and i have to turn everything down. What can i do to solve this? i love flying in VR.
When you're running on a monitor everything is being rendered one time. When you plug in a VR headset everything is being rendered twice (once for each eye). You need roughly twice as much power to render for VR. You either need to turn all of your settings down quite a bit in VR or you need better hardware.
I'm running my settings all at max now except antiailising at 2x. Runs smooth and clouds are good. Even the shimmering is now quite minimal. I,found my CPU,was overheating causing issues so got a new air cooler. Sweet now and runs much much smoother. 😀

How to set the desktop in fullscreen in vr? Are you using OBS and just cropping it in?
I use the Ocukus Mirror which isn great with Mnidia Shadow play. I have a setting to up the normally low resolution of the mirror :) 😀

@Lets Fly VFR Flight Simulation - You might want to add a 'h' to the title - Smooth is written as Smoot in the title lol ;) "Smooth as silk"

Hi, noticed aircraft on the runeay, do you use any ai traffic addon?
I simply added some AI aircraft. You do this in the actual aircraft setup page
That horrible shimmering on the trees and horizon is still there almost a year later.
Yes it continues to be a VR issue although upping antiailising helps if you have the fps to spare!

Will it work with pico 4 vr?
The Pulico 4 looks like a nice headset but I don't know anything more about it. If you can play PC games then yes it will work.
