    Good job! Heat is definitely your friend. The left handed drill bits are super handy.

      Thanks. I had some things in my favor like the bolt being broken off in an aluminum boss I could get heat on. The threads were not rusty, they simply failed in shear. I am pretty bummed at Subaru for putting such a small stud on that ball. Have you seen the one Ford put on the T5 bell housing? The threaded part is 1/2" (12.7 mm). Subaru's is 8 mm. Subaru should be using 50% thicker threaded part to prevent this part from shearing.

      Maybe the retaining spring on the clutch fork?

      Yeps that’s what I’m narrowing it down to be as well. I will be separating its once again and hopefully it’s a faulty v spring., if not im out of ideas.
      Thanks for the response.

    I had something similar happen but where it screws into the housing blew apart the pivot ball is fine. Can I possibly use the other hole or is the transmission junk?

      Maybe you could have it tig welded back together. Might be simpler and easier to get another trans

      Thanks. I enjoy watching your channel too. Looking forward to the v8 swap in the coupe.

    You don’t need to remove the trans from the car to do this right?

      Some guys remove the engine instead of the transmission. I removed the transmission. I detailed some of my challenges with this job in the description.

    Hello hope u can help I have a 2017 wrx my clutch won’t go in gear and the pedal feels soft and it gets stuck in the ground though it could be master and slave cylinder I changed both of them and still the same and I realized that the clutch fork it’s kinda sitting sideways and moves… u think it’s my clutch fork causing all this I think I kinda can see where it’s broken and like u said it shouldn’t move

    • @sbf_fox2434
      @sbf_fox2434  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It should not move. Can you move it up and down? The slave cylinder rod should be pointing straight at the fork. It should not be angled down.

    • @Subigang-17
      @Subigang-17 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I can move it up and down and its kinda in a slightly angle hopefully I don’t have to change the whole clutch

      @@sbf_fox2434 do you think an oem or after market would be better option

      @@Subigang-17 I changed the clutch when I changed the broken pivot ball. I bought a billet aftermarket pivot ball from Torque Solutions. I bought a mild aftermarket clutch kit Zoom MU72320-1. I think it came in a Hayes box. I also had to change the axle seals. It might have been easier to pull the engine rather than the transmission. I would say the job is not easy.
