Great job documenting the clutch replacement! I put the damn sleeve on backwards and trans would not mate to engine all the way. I get to re-do removal an re-install tomorrow. Peace bro.

Clutch and timing belt on a budget! Love it. Will be a great "first car" for a new driver.

Curious 8 months later how the sleeve is holding up? And what kit did you use? Appreciate it

@@ccjjbb so far so good, it beat buying a whole new transmission and spending a couple grand for one. If it ends up failing I believe they are only like 35$ if I remember correctly I’ll just throw another one on. I’m sure the bearing will go before the sleeve though.

Great work! Just trying to figure out how I could do the work myself, mostly time and money to do it.

good job. i'd be real hesitant to use a cheap no name clutch kit. too much labor to risk. i'd also go OEM on the rear main seal and fork. I've heard of some sleeves coming loose but not sure how common that is.

How has the sleeve held up? Bearing in mine chewed the snout apart and I’m looking into buying one.

@@ccjjbb I sold the car to a friend and it’s still working fine. I’m guessing about 1000 Miles by now.

Nice wolf! You make it look easy. You don’t worry about aftermarket stuff?

I’ve had great luck with aftermarket parts. Except one time! I had bad luck with a 2012 Kia soul. I bought a GDI (high pressure gas direct injection) fuel pump on Amazon $110 it worked for 7 months , so I bought a OEM from a junkyard for $55. They are $400 at the dealership. I always use the cheap aftermarket stuff.

Seems like $4k if you were to bring it to someone
