    Something that’s help me- TRY THIS> create a journal and write 4 questions (you can also add questions)
    1) how do I feel? ( can be simply or get deep into it)
    2) why do I feel this way? ( it’s okay to write “idk” and “this is my mental health and I’m having a chemical Imbalance”
    3) Can I do anything to fix this or change how I feel?
    4) has writing helped me today?

    The lady in the video is so correct. We are in constant emotional pain so much to the point that it will affect us physically. ailments etc. So, if we come off the wrong way vs. snapping at us and embarrassing us just confidentially give us a heads up and we will adjust the outward process as much as possible.

      I know a woman who claims to have BPD and I think she has narcissism instead.

    • @Alphacentauri819
      @Alphacentauri819 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@julesj5853many people with BPD exhibit narcissistic traits. Why?
      Look at a toddler. They are self centered, based on their development. They cannot consider others experiences, feelings, their impact on others, and more...this is expected of a toddler. However, in the arrested emotional development of someone with BPD, hence the issues with emotional regulation, acting out, inability to clearly/calmly state what they need...and so on...comes across like a toddler. Of course it's due to deep shame and pain.
      The behavior can look very, very narcissistic. They are very unaware of their impact, trauma they cause, on others. They aren't trying to do this, but their near constant amygdala activation, makes it impossible to consider others. It is this blindness to others that seems narcissistic.
      Since they often feel like they are being chased by a tiger, they are only concerned with their survival, in that moment...no one else.
      It is one of the aspects that keep them from getting the support and compassion they need. They want from others, things they won't give others..:so it becomes very imbalanced and a one way interaction. Not healthy.
      The main type of people who will tolerate it, are others who also suffer from low self esteem, and likely are codependent.

    • @EmotionalAbuseSurvivors
      @EmotionalAbuseSurvivors ปีที่แล้ว

      So you do have you hypochondriacs out there but that's and illness as well within itself but back on bpd... it is a real issue that not enough people take seriously that's why bpd awareness is so important.

    What's the point of pushing forward when you finally reach out for help. And your therapist goes on a vacation with no notice. Only to stop responding when asking to set up an appt when they return. Digging myself up again to find another therapist. Only to have them cancel the next 3 appts after Only meeting once. I can't do this anymore.

      I get this, I know with myself it’s hard to not look at it as some thing or someone that wrongs me on purpose and equate that to the whole world quitting on me but it’s just one therapist and trust me not every therapist, not every person is a good person but that’s just the reality of the world and we can’t quit on ourselves because someone made a bad decision we just have to find the right person for us and it could take time but think of it as putting time into ourselves for the betterment of ourselves. it’s probably a good thing when people leave your life in any kind of way always look at the positive of it it was probably the end of their journey in your life and they served no purpose in helping you succeed because now when you find a new therapist they’ll probably be an amazing person and perfect for you but you would’ve never found that without leaving that past therapist I wish you all the luck!!

      Have you tried DBT? I used to have BPD (still have some of the symptoms) and it was significantly more helpful than 1 on 1 therapy. Some therapists unfortunately refuse to treat clients with BPD, but if you’re going to DBT, they might be more willing to see you.

      It's rooted in trauma as with many other mental illnesses which could be eliminated by treating/healing the trauma- not the symptoms of how that trauma manifests.
      If only we cared to understand and heal trauma, rather than exploit vulnerable people for the sake of business and get them using drugs they think they can't function without, and yet they don't help you regulate yourself...BPD gets misdiagnosed the most, especially with CPTSD and survivors of Narcissistic Abuse.
