Great Information. While coming back to USA, RT-PCR has to be taken within 72 hours of US departure flight or before 72 hr of US departure flight?

Hello, Is it required to take RT PCR category test when traveling to US? Can we take either True NAT or CB NAAT covid test? There are no ICMR approved covid testing center that do RT PCR near by?

Still travel ban is in place and b1/b2 visa holders can not travel with out NIE approval

Hi..myself and my son planning to travel from CJB to USA next week via air India..we will be having 6 hrs transit...are they providing any lounge facilities??
I didn’t use lounge in Delhi airport, but I think there are some option . You can check that in Delhi airport website

No need to have NIE approval.. just take a NIE request letter with supporting documents if your not exempted from travel ban .. if your exempted from travel ban explain your exemption category along with supporting documents

Mam do we need to take rapid test or lab pcr test..? Pcr test us same as RT- pcr Mam..? Can you plz suggest which options to select wen we are putting appointments in CVS for testing
Us to India - rtpcr test . In cvs website you have to select per test . Both pcr and rtpcr test are same

From Indian to USA - no need , only above age 2 rt pcr test is mandatory

Mam i am traveling from CBE to USA. I am from coimbatore. Mam were did u get ur RT-PCR test done in CBE

you can refer to the list of icmr labs in the description . I got it done from bioline lab, if you call them and book appointment they will come home to collect your samples

Thank you so much for the information. Did you get a chance to meet anyone who had NIE and went for secondary verification, what kind of verification documents CBP officer is expecting, do I need any letter from my spouse company. TIA.
I saw people were sent to secondary verification, but personally didn’t meet them. I guess they will verify your NIE and let you go . No need to get any letter from your spouse company

Hi Suja, thanks for taking time to explain us the process & your experience. I watched your other video on applying for the emergency drop box appointment. I have a slightly different case - I do not have an already booked appointment for drop box (when I tried to book one today, it says no appointment available in chennai - not even showing any dates in the future).
So, wanted to ask you if you know the process in this case - like do I have to send an email to Chennai consulate directly to start with?
Is the approval for appointment and travel are time bound (like we have to travel within so and so date after the approval).

If yours approval with nie then you have to travel with in 30 days .. if your exempted from travel ban then no timeline
Thank you Suja :) I would be travelling with my kid who is an American born citizen. So I hope we are exempted.
I thought you had your initial appointment booked in April which got cancelled. That’s why I assumed our cases are different.
I am just trying for slots and waiting to get back usa. H4 visa slots are not open its very hard to book the slots. I am also parent of 2year us citizen daughter. May be i dont nees NIE excemption.
