Keeping the PPP factor aside. Few major concerns which are prompting people to move abroad. 1) Clean Air. We breathe in high AQI which is shortening our lives and causing a lot of health issues. 2) Strong Labor laws. In India you will be exploited like hell in the corporate world, prompted to work overtime, too much office politics. Lack of professionalism. Lets be very clear, the corporate world in India is shit. 3) Corruption. If you are not rich, forget that you will ever get justice in the system. Eg: Pune Porche incident where with the power of money that guy bought almost everyone. In short, the judiciary is a joke in our country. 4) High Tax Rate with no benefits from it. You pay around 20%-30% direct tax on top of toll tax, gst, long term capital gains tax, etc but what do you get in return. Government schools and government hospitals are there but the condition there is pathetic and you would end up going for the private ones. The infrastructure is pathetic, Roads are full of potholes, improperly filled roads after repair works, etc. The garbage would be lying around. 5) Food safety. MDH masala was found to have cancer-causing agents. FoodPharmer has exposed how FMCG companies are fooling Indians with high sugar and harmful chemicals, and misleading ads. The recent raids on popular restaurants in Telangana have revealed how expired items and unhygienic environment is present in the kitchen. 6) Exam paper leaks and cancelling of the exams at the last moment. NEET exam which was all rigged. Imagine those cheaters who scored top marks and become doctors and start treating you. Just imagine how messed up the healthcare would become. 7) Reservation: Score high and pay more fees, that's general category for you. Score less and pay less fees, those are all the SC STs. 75 years since independence and do we still need this bullshit system. Politicians are using this as a vote bank and trying to even bring private sector reservation. Just riduculous. So, the narrative that India is growing is all a facade, the reality is India is growing just backward. It's better to move out to a developed country that values its citizens.
And you're hoping you'll get all these low competition, no rule of rich in abroad, especially USA?? And if not usa, then maybe europe, your chances of growth are less, same like their economy.
Agreed with all your points except for the last one. What do you know about reservation system? Do you even know how it works in the first place? If you’re really questioning the reservation system then first question/complain about the stupid caste system that still exists and how people have taken advantage of it for over 3000 years and still do.
@@ashd8024 Reservation was introduced with the intention to stop discrimination and uplift the oppressed class. Its been 77 years since independence implying till 3rd generation of lower caste families have used the benefits of reservations. If there is still discrimination happening to the lower caste then it's a clear indication that reservation in education and jobs is not the solution to this problem. Moreover, reservation has increased discrimination towards the General Category. Do you know what it takes to work so hard for a competitive exam and then someone far less deserving takes your seat and has to even pay less fees.
I honestly dont care about gdp, all i care about is quality of life, there arent actually any good options in india, too much competition, not much roi and labour laws are so bad its downright exploitation, also the pay is not upto par with inflation, no one should be offering 4lpa packages in this economy
Other countries don't even offer lower cost of living and low competitive job market either. The GDP of a country definitely matters, when it comes to build wealth. The evergreen stock market which india has supported by its gdp has been giving the highest roi for everyone
@@Global-Netizen even tho UK and US is in recession they produce a lot of jobs with highest packages, and for me small factors like Education lifestyle nature air quality weather etc matters too
Thats 100% truth I am a international student here in Germany and it took me bloody 2 and half years just to get used to the language, culture, people, but still struggling a lot. And I am doing such struggle with the positive hope of starting my own startup/business soon here in Europe and then expand it in India. As I have also worked in Germany (Not a blue collar job) as a IT Consultant for half a year the salaries and revenue generated when you own a business here is never disappointing. So if you know how to combat and fight loneliness and never give up on your dreams you can survive everywhere in the world.
@@education4910 ofc berlin is a super expensive city and has high competition for english jobs, that’s what i meant if you and your wife dedicate yourselves to learn german, integrate well and explore other cities ofc her life is gonna be way easier. As germany or anywhere in Europe isnt like the normal “AMERICAN DREAM” 🦅 english will help u buy bread and milk but wont help you get a six figure salary. Europe is a big version of india, just imagine Germany as a new state or city in India. And when you go from Maharashtra (lets say italy) to Tamil Nadu (lets say Germany) no matter that the normal office language is english people will prefer if you learn tamil even though u just speak hindi and marathi. Atleast basic words so that u can explain your maid in Tamil Nadu where to clean properly or if u need help in chopping vegetables. If you are not young then u wont find it interesting or worth even investing so much in a new culture and language, its all about the will to achieve something if you really want to :)
With that much effort you could have made it big here in india itself. Problem with most people is that they work really hard when they are abroad due to multiple reasons ( loan is one of them). But the same people never do anything here in india
One of the reason for GDP growth is labor force and India's labor force is huge, we need to look at what factor is contributing to GDP growth the most. If it the population then I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. Moreover if companies learn to start using AI more efficiently their productivity will increase resulting in that country's economy growth, can India's GDP compete then?
Went to France to study for my Masters and came back to INDIA 1) it is impossible to get a job or internship. There are no campus placements. Most jobs are done through personal references. Big companies do hire INDIANS but it is rare and only those who have 10+ years of experience. For FRESHERS no jobs. No INDIAN from my batch got a job or internship 2) Education Quality is subpar. They want your money and are selling degrees. 3) You need to learn their language , which is very difficult.
I am currently in Germany and I should say this isba very well researched vlog. If you wanna have some experience in life, come here. If you wanna have your comfortable life, stay back in India.
Very nicely done. Point by point, no BS, no personal attachments or bias visible, coverage was amazing and was very engaging. I wish more people can do vlogging the way you have done 👍🙌👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You have cleared so many myths about working Abroad it is more of a social stigma than reality this constant juggle between Home country VS abroad we forget the blessings that we have got here. People just want to move abroad to get the social status rather than for elevating the lifestyle. Kudos to the research and creativity that you have portrayed in this video. I am proud to stay in my mother land and thanks once again for crystallising the facts.
Just meet a person who is 56 years old yesterday. She said she is going for studies to US for her doctorate. Stunned to see people at this age leaving the country for a better life. Shows the dire situation and worsening economic condition in this country. People leaving someway or the other legally or illegally.
For doctorate or PhD, they don't have to pay like paying for masters or bachelors, for PhD they offer upto 100% scholarship and hostel, insurance facilities, and for PhD or doctorate level of study it is worth to go abroad.i am going to do that only
@@abhiramtv8072 I get what you are saying but at 56. I mean are you 56. The intent to leave the country no matter what for a better life, study etc. is bad. Now would you utilize that degree for all its worth is another story.
@@vikeng21 You can think about it another way. She's 56 n she's not going to get many more opportunities to give live in another country. Why not be adventurous.
is it her first time going abroad? she is 56, must have son or daughter there. phd is not something very different. If she is in research field, she is doing the same work but for a degree.
Key Takeaways 1. **Mixed Experiences Abroad**: Initial excitement often turns to homesickness and cultural adaptation challenges. 2. **Significant Trend**: Increasing numbers of Indians moving abroad for education and work due to competition and perceived better quality of life. 3. **Economic Cycles**: Importance of evaluating industry growth phases before moving abroad. 4. **Qualitative Challenges**: Job opportunities, housing costs, mental health issues, lack of affordable household help, and understanding true purchasing power. 5. **Balanced Perspective**: Recognize both opportunities and potential difficulties of moving abroad.
Another important point is, as you rise in the corporate ranks, after a point you can actually earn and save more in India than outside. Eg if two people A and B both start their job at the same time at A in the USA with $100 salary and B in India with $20 salary. Over a course of 10 years or so, salary would be $150 for A in the USA and $ 60-70 for B in India. Over a course of 20 years, salary would be $200 for A in the USA and $150 for B in India. Gap reduces, plus PPP factor. So when you're ACTUALLY going make real money (ie during senior leadership years) it makes more sense to be in India than outside India. Plus with good money anyways standard of living in India would be equivalent (or better) than the USA.
If India has lots of opportunity Why Unemployments rate increasing don't tell demand and suplly give one video in depth please When it comes to demand supply if GDP grows must be increasing in demand (what you told "opportunity") why there is lots of unemployment And I also watched last video(De- influencing Engineering) Give me a onother shot, which contains why unemployment increases, instead of doing graduates what we can do for life
I guess the gdp growth reflected for india is the earnings of top 1% people in the country … it doesnt mean whole nation is progressing at the same rate … your growth depends on which social strata you come from
Leading a life abroad away from home isn't easy because I have many friends over there. The abroad earned money when sent to India give a good life at home, but one can't survive what that scorching inflation. If there are 100 people 10 people able to achieve their dreams but the rest struggle. If more people leave India, than people in India get the best opportunities.
As someone living in abroad, I will try to add some perspective here. First, the video is bang on. Next, everyone wants to move abroad because they want a Job, now there are 2 broad categories of people who move abroad for a Job, 1: Who want to study in STEM, get a STEM job and 2: People who just want any job, it doesn’t matter. Now for the people who want STEM jobs, the problem is there are less number of STEM jobs and more diversity, remember in abroad you’re competing with not only Indians but the natives of that country and other foreigners and thus you have to like really good otherwise you will find it hard to land a job even compared to India. (but if you’re really good you’ll easily make it in India in any sector) For people who want any job, these people are happy because you earn a decent living doing a decent blue-collar job which isn’t possible in a country like India. Lets say you beat the Odds, got a job and repaid the student loan, you will settle down and eventually pay EMI’s on the home loan (as discussed in the video) then eventually you will be sitting 8 hours in the office, so eventually it all boils down to in which country you want to sit 8 hours in a office and that’s the reality, you will not be roaming everyday on the wide and well built road, you will not be roam outside because of the housechores and other tasks.
I agree everything you said but you missed a very important point. In my own experience the less you earn in India, it is more beneficial for you when you move abroad for work. For someone who is earning 5 LPA salary in India will have to struggle in India also. If she goes to US and earns 80k USD, she will probably ignore the cons and will paint a very rosy picture of abroad. I am sure someone will put a comment under this video saying PPP does not matter and quality of life abroad is so good. I have been to that situation. At the beginning of my career I lived and worked in US for some years. That time it felt like winning a jackpot. Now as I am earning well in India, I do see both pros and cons. India works better for me and I turned down offer for internal transfer to US many times in recent past. However. my in-laws and relatives are putting pressure on me to move abroad as all their other relatives, neighbour's son/daughter are in abroad and living a supposedly "high quality", "high standard" life.
So true bro Imagine my mother never done the dishes, washing clothes and mopping floor. And this high living standard will make me do all this. Whats the point of having the money in the bank if it can't give me some peaceful time after work?
I think if you are capable enough to earn $80k in the US, you'll probably earn much more than 5 lakhs in India. Maybe not at the beginning of your career, but eventually, yes. That's why it's important to weigh both pros and cons of each country :)

A better metric is GDP per capita. Do you think India is richer than Singapore if you compare it in terms of only GDP? Yes, taxation is higher in those countries but you get better benefits in lifestyle, healthcare, school etc. You end up serving the government with taxes out of your salary in India. 1. Direct Tax (TDS from salary) 2. Indirect Tax (GST) 3. Invisible Tax (Inflation). HNI's are flying out of India because of the taxation structure, which will eventually add more burden on common people.
By comparing the GDPs, what we wanted to show was the fact that opportunities are consistently rising in India. There is nothing wrong with going abroad, but with this video we want people to know that India is not as bad as some people might think it is :)
@@Zero1byZerodha Completely agree with the content, however, in India the unemployment rate is increasing also the savings rate is reducing. When there are no savings then no investing. Well, i do miss the "Mitti Ki Kushboo" and love to be in India and work for the country. The only point i wanted to make is going abroad can get you some savings (depending on your lifestyle) and can help you in investing more. (checkout for opportunities in countiries with less or no taxation on salary) PS: please make a video on de-influencing the savings rate in India.
Having worked around the world in UK, Canada and Bahrain.I can add my experience here. Western countries are the best in terms of quality of life, rule of law, clean environment. The initial struggle is there till you get the right opportunity, the big downside is you are far from family and cannot afford many trips in a year. For Middle East the work culture is not so good and not suggested unless you are semi literate labour.
It seems you are referring to the real estate market in Mumbai, India as having the most expensive real estate in the world, with the highest Price to Rent (PR) ratio and lowest affordability index compared to other major cities globally. Here are some key points about the real estate scenario in Mumbai: 1. Most Expensive Real Estate: - Mumbai is consistently ranked among the cities with the most expensive real estate in the world. It has some of the highest property prices globally. 2. High Price to Rent (PR) Ratio: - The Price to Rent (PR) ratio in Mumbai is very high, indicating that property prices are extremely high compared to rental rates. - A high PR ratio suggests low affordability and a bubble-like situation in the real estate market. 3. Low Affordability Index: - Mumbai has one of the lowest housing affordability indices globally. - This means that the average Mumbai resident has to allocate a very high proportion of their income to afford housing, making it highly unaffordable for the common people. The key reasons for this include limited land availability, high construction costs, skewed demand-supply dynamics, and rapid urbanization leading to a large population with limited housing options in Mumbai. This has made Mumbai's real estate one of the least affordable in the world, pricing out a significant section of the city's residents from the housing market.
A lot of my cousins who had 8-15lpa job moved to the us and are now earning 120k-300k. Chemical and mechanical engineers have no respect and opportunities in India. This is just an example. Of course there are both pros and cons but still moving to the usa or abroad is going to be the best decisions for majority of the brains in India.
8:07 education from usa is worth more than India even for India jobs . For example iim bangalore will hire professors with usa PhD over a iim banglore PhD .
*As a fresher in the USA/Europe, especially in the computer/IT field, you have the opportunity to earn a remarkable $100,000 CTC. However, in India, the scenario is different for freshers in the same industry. While salaries typically fall between ₹5,00,000 - ₹15,00,000, the average CTC fails to reach ₹23,00,000. This stark contrast reveals the disparity that exists.*
I think still young people here should consider going abroad as India doesn't have much opportunities to cater to growing young generation. As such our country is long way to go and make leaps and bounds in terms of corruption free governance, opportunities, equality and quality of life.
Like button for mechanical engineers who did blue collar jobs in india/abroad, self taught and made it to white collar jobs/ started their own businesses!!❤
I don't understand the fuss about house help and maids. I grew up in 90's and coming from a middle class family, we and most of our extended family did not have any helpers and maids. Having working mothers, we and most of my cousins, as kids were all taught and made to help and contribute in all household chores. I always thought this common across and only upper middle class or rich folks had maids, drivers and maali. I understand nowadays, it more common. But every other youtube videos on abroad migration complains on unavailability of maids in western countries and potray doing our own cooking, cleaning, washing as like no one had any idea about taking care of themselves without help before going abroad!!
True! If you move abroad and live in a mansion yeah you probably need helpers but I doubt that paying for helpers are a problem when you can afford a mansion. The fact is You go abroad and live in an apartment or a small house. Look after it yourself like a normal person. Besides it really is something to be ashamed of to pay as lowest possible wage to these helpers in India don’t you think?
Thanks for the knowledge and the research you people have gone through. But the major accolade is for the editing team! Such good Graphics and editing! Well done team!
India has 3% of the global land and 3 % of the global water - but, 19% of the worlds population. The nominal gdp per capita is on the same level as some poor African countries like Mali, Burkina Faso, etc,,,,even though we are no# 5 on the Global GDP ranking. Yes, there are some people who will suceed in India / abroad, but, many more will fail in India until the population is reduced drastically. Even though China's GDP figures are way higher than India, even they face problems because of their huge population - but, at least they are working hard to reduce their population and will soon become a developed nation.

It used to a flavor in the past to go abroad as the wage disparity was very high. In 1995, a CEO wage in PSU was around 2 Lakh/Month while a mcdonald wage was around $15/Hour. If you work in McD for 250hours/Month and rupee was at 40/$ which converts to 1.5 lakh/Month. Now that disparity has more or less completely disappeared. Only very high end jobs like technical architect, Principal consultant etc makes sense. If you can make 25lakh/month in india, it makes no sense to go abroad. If you want to enjoy quality of life, you should definitely go abroad. If you are ego, power seeker, it is better to stay in India. you can definitely go abroad with your salary for tours.
Can you please make a video about the problem of constant horn honking in India? It’s causing a lot of noise pollution, and it’s really annoying for everyone, including street animals, babies, kids, tourists, and elderly people. If, Nikhil sir, you are reading this kindly make a video on India's present scenario on climate change( since we all have been experiencing heat waves, floods and water shortages), versus where we will be in next 2,3 decades. We have a large population to feed, earn and work! But what will be the impact on all of us, when we will be forced to leave our lands, homes and places. Due to climate change issues, I know this is very off topic, but still it would be really nice if you could this a take! Hope I'm clear with my words. This is damn vast to be covered in a video, but I hope , you'll shed some light onto this. From socio-economic perspective.
Great video, help in US is replaced with time spent yourself doing the chores. But PPP should never be used as a yardstick. When you consider school fees for example which averages ~6-10lakh yearly vs public free schooling. The average amount saved in abroad may actually be higher than the actual PPP value. So look at things with an overall value to you as a person and your immediate family including the benefit of work life and also the loss of proximity to extended family.

Although all the cons mentioned in your Video is true, the most important advantage of working abroad is, the difference between the monthly savings in India and abroad. Let's say a person could save only Rs10k working in India.if he or she can save Rs50k more every month and invest the money regularly, then the person will be able to create substantial wealth in a decade. Imagine what happens if both husband and wife are working. They can save 1 lakh extra per month and apply the power of compounding, the wealth generated will be phenomenal. Improving one's income to such level in India is extremely difficult.
There are definitely lots of pros living in USA (not sure about other countries economically). But I prefer India only because I can be close/reachable to my parents..
My belief is also bout the work environment indian corporates gave always been toxic n the hiring has akways been based on University n percentile than on skill sets...hence 70% do prefer abroad even though india is growing
Pt 4 is super important Actually who ever says we have work life balance abroad that is only half statement the other half is pt 4. U have to cook clean n what not after going back home.
Hey @Zero1byZerodha , I recently began to watch this channel. Love your videos especially this one. I am aware because I moved to Canada in January 2023 to pursue my education. In my second year right now , I genuinely agree with everything you mentioned about the tasks that the typical international student must complete and the fact that they actually spend far less time on the "EDUCATION," which is the primary reason they came here. It's amazing how much labour we Indians put into these blue collar occupations. However, if we had acquired some sort of skills and performed that handwork back home, the entire narrative would have been different.Considering a return to India..... by the way, @Zero1byZerodha I would love to be included in your team if you are hiring. ☺
Great video but you did elaborate loneliness and how climate plays a role in for us when we move abroad. I got a taste of it and it sucks to live abroad
I am in Calgary, Canada and i must admit that quality of life is far more better here than in India specifically for lower and middle class. Almost Zero corruption atleast at ground level. Only negative is you will miss your family all the time. I will not get into that discussion how much money you can save here and there its totally depend upon the individual. Overall we only talk about Ram Raj in India but its actually visible in developed countries. If you are earning good in developed world life is awesome atleast you are inhaling good air, people in India can not imagine how it feels to breathe in clean air now a days almost 95 percent India's air is horribly polluted.
Happy for you. But do remember it's Indian themselves who are responsible for this. So this trait of spoiling the environment, they will carry it wherever they go.
Work pressure that you have for 100k is different from earning 25 Lakh in India . Work culture is best in the United States. If you keep PPP aside . You get lastest technology for affordable but in India it reaches people late and costlier when it arrives When there is automated systems need of maid is very minimal unless you are physically challenged.
I have a firm belief that one must only go abroad when they have a job offer. Going to study over there makes sense only when you are getting into one of the top universities. Or else just stay back!
Here's what it is. Nowadays those who are not good enough to succeed in India, move abroad. But these people will never blame their incompetence. They will instead find faults in India's education, reservation, competition, population, pollution, and everything to justify their move. In short, they will blame the country. but never themselves.

Comparing the quality of life factors between Canada and India: Air Quality: - Canada generally has significantly better air quality compared to India, especially in major urban centers. India struggles with high levels of particulate matter pollution. Road Safety: - Canada has much safer roads with lower rates of traffic fatalities compared to India, which has high rates of road accidents and pedestrian/cyclist deaths. Water Quality: - The quality of drinking water is generally much higher in Canada compared to India, where access to clean water can be a major challenge. Pollution: - Overall pollution levels, including air, water and soil, are significantly lower in Canada compared to the severe pollution problems faced in many parts of India. Corruption: - Corruption levels are perceived to be lower in Canada compared to the relatively high levels of corruption in India, especially in public services. Food Adulteration: - Food safety regulations and enforcement are more robust in Canada, whereas food adulteration is a major issue in parts of India. In summary, the quality of life indicators related to environment, infrastructure, public services and governance are considerably better in Canada compared to the challenges faced in India across these areas. Nice perspective BUT: What you said about student life is true and getting a job as a fresher in Europe is also very tough. The housing crisis is very true as well. But being in Europe for the last 7 years as an IT employee, You missed a lot of factors here. Language is not a big barrier now in Europe anymore, there is still bias for people who know the local language, but Indians are learning the local language very well. There has already been a significant increase in the number of Indians moving to middle management levels. Buying big houses and many of them are opting for nationality. You missed the factors of sustainability of Indian cities, ease of living, quality of life, work-life balance, cost of kid's education, and commute to work. Above all, there are no jobs for R&D for highly educated and overqualified people. I used to spend 3-4 hours in traffic every day, now I spend it doing a sport I like or with my kids in the park. You mentioned $70bn spent for education abroad and didn't mention the $110bn remittances India received in 2023. Never missed Indian food here, in fact, I got an opportunity to taste so many other flavors. The time spent to reach my hometown from Europe = the time spent to reach my hometown from Bengaluru.

I believe you consider the quality of the product that we use here vs abroad people go for good education considering their education system who has more PhD holders vs Indian PhD holders. Seriously good efforts will land you in good place. But here we still remain the same where you are eating the same 55 rs bread from that kaka bakery made from unhygienic kitchen. Instead of eating the same from good us or uk McDonalds bakery.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The major reason is those who have too much money would always move abroad just because they want tags of foreign colleges because getting a good University is next to impossible here so instead of a private college here they opt for an average college abroad.
Only when the population of India is drastically reduced, it is not at all possible to improve the quality of life. India is definitely growing. Highways are really good. But what is the use if population grows exponentially. If India has a population of 50 to 60 crores, with the present rate of development, then India is a paradise on earth. The temperature will come down by 5 to6 degrees. We will have space to grow more trees. Also we need to train our population n proper disposal of garbage. Everything is good in India except it's over population. Need to take a serious action.
PPP is not the right way, electronics are cheaper in USA, also if one makes 100k a year, and save 30k also, within 3 years they can bring back good amount to India and live a great life here. But as per stats if staying abroad was this bad of a decision, majority of the people would return, but they don't!
This does apply only to engineering or MBBS. But what about STEM? It's better to study in India. I'm so lucky to study PG in Chennai, with my best friends around, which I won't get studying abroad.
If you are in india you will not get respect, social status If you are doing private job, that's why people go to abroad doing job earn a lot of money and settled there because indians still have mindset that the government job is the only way of survival as most of indians don't want to work but expecting salary on time
you should cover work visa issues, specially for students who went abroad and now they are literally deported due no work visa.. and this burden falls on family
The video only showcases what they need to tell. All the disadvantages of .lving abroad. They don't focus the ground reality check of an average Indian problems. GDP and international coverage of India won't suffice!
Wages in India are too low. Most people are making very less money in India. Only a very small percentage of population pays income tax in India. Looking at the household disposable income is a good indication.
Best kinda job is where you stay in India and your employer is abroad and you get paid in dollars, working remotely!
Yes I agree with you
In your dreams. Tax policies wouldn't allow it.
@@user-mm8uo8iy1o bro many software professionals do it including me 😄
Aisi kismat bahut kam logo ki hoti hai bhai.
And the stress also
Keeping the PPP factor aside.
I completely agree with you and all your points are true to its core !
Ta ta

I went to berlin with my wife 1 year back and is planning to come back as everything is damn costly and no jobs
In India the GDP growth rate is good but the per capita is very less that's the most important reason many people are going to abroad
lmao definitely more nuanced than that
One of the reason for GDP growth is labor force and India's labor force is huge, we need to look at what factor is contributing to GDP growth the most.
If it the population then I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.
Moreover if companies learn to start using AI more efficiently their productivity will increase resulting in that country's economy growth, can India's GDP compete then?
There is something PPP
Major Banifit goes to people like Adani Ambani and choosen few
If you are good enough to do a quality job abroad, you'll probably be good enough to earn much more than the GDP per capita here in India🙂
Went to France to study for my Masters and came back to INDIA
1) it is impossible to get a job or internship. There are no campus placements. Most jobs are done through personal references. Big companies do hire INDIANS but it is rare and only those who have 10+ years of experience.
For FRESHERS no jobs.
No INDIAN from my batch got a job or internship
2) Education Quality is subpar. They want your money and are selling degrees.
3) You need to learn their language , which is very difficult.
I am currently in Germany and I should say this isba very well researched vlog. If you wanna have some experience in life, come here. If you wanna have your comfortable life, stay back in India.

100% true
The intent to leave the country no matter what for a better life, study etc. is bad. Now would you utilize that
degree for all its worth is another story.
@@vikeng21 You can think about it another way. She's 56 n she's not going to get many more opportunities to give live in another country. Why not be adventurous.
is it her first time going abroad? she is 56, must have son or daughter there. phd is not something very different. If she is in research field, she is doing the same work but for a degree.
priveleged people , top 5% of people.
Key Takeaways
There must be an awareness spread among Middle class parents and their children..going abroad must be a wel planned and well informed decision
If India has lots of opportunity
Why Unemployments rate increasing don't tell demand and suplly give one video in depth please
When it comes to demand supply if GDP grows must be increasing in demand (what you told "opportunity") why there is lots of unemployment
And I also watched last video(De- influencing Engineering)
Give me a onother shot, which contains why unemployment increases, instead of doing graduates what we can do for life
I guess the gdp growth reflected for india is the earnings of top 1% people in the country … it doesnt mean whole nation is progressing at the same rate … your growth depends on which social strata you come from
Leading a life abroad away from home isn't easy because I have many friends over there.
(but if you’re really good you’ll easily make it in India in any sector)
For people who want any job, these people are happy because you earn a decent living doing a decent blue-collar job which isn’t possible in a country like India.
So well explained, thank you for sharing your experience. Loved the line ‘it boils down to which country you want to spend 8 hours in the office’.
Dude, 8 hours a day in office in India?😂😂😂😂
Aao kabhi corporate me
From office to home and vice versa I don't face traffic jams here and better driver sensibility
Well sitting 8hours there gives you more money tbh atleast on an average.
@@MozaffarMansoor wai bhai mein 3 din office mein hi raha tha, udhar hi soya khaya, for 50k rs a month job.
I think the biggest issue is the anxiety, depression and loneliness (both for the student and their parents)
I can’t agree more. Not many realize this. The quality of life is a facade created by west and media.
So true bro
Imagine my mother never done the dishes, washing clothes and mopping floor.

HNI's are flying out of India because of the taxation structure, which will eventually add more burden on common people.
nah its around 30% for 30 lpa and above which is extremely high considering our living standards.
By comparing the GDPs, what we wanted to show was the fact that opportunities are consistently rising in India. There is nothing wrong with going abroad, but with this video we want people to know that India is not as bad as some people might think it is :)
@@Zero1byZerodhaExactly, you reverse engineered the metric based on the narrative you wanted to communicate. Poor analysis.
(checkout for opportunities in countiries with less or no taxation on salary)
PS: please make a video on de-influencing the savings rate in India.
Here are some key points about the real estate scenario in Mumbai:
1. Most Expensive Real Estate:
- Mumbai is consistently ranked among the cities with the most expensive real estate in the world. It has some of the highest property prices globally.
2. High Price to Rent (PR) Ratio:
- The Price to Rent (PR) ratio in Mumbai is very high, indicating that property prices are extremely high compared to rental rates.
- A high PR ratio suggests low affordability and a bubble-like situation in the real estate market.
3. Low Affordability Index:
- Mumbai has one of the lowest housing affordability indices globally.
Any consultancy you can recommend?
8:07 education from usa is worth more than India even for India jobs . For example iim bangalore will hire professors with usa PhD over a iim banglore PhD .
*As a fresher in the USA/Europe, especially in the computer/IT field, you have the opportunity to earn a remarkable $100,000 CTC. However, in India, the scenario is different for freshers in the same industry. While salaries typically fall between ₹5,00,000 - ₹15,00,000, the average CTC fails to reach ₹23,00,000. This stark contrast reveals the disparity that exists.*
Quality of life, far better at abroad. You can earn the same amount of money in India but can't expect the same lifestyle.
I think still young people here should consider going abroad as India doesn't have much opportunities to cater to growing young generation. As such our country is long way to go and make leaps and bounds in terms of corruption free governance, opportunities, equality and quality of life.

You meant 25 lakhs/year? Or did you really mean 25 lakhs/month? Just making sure it wasn’t a typo.

Good point💯
My belief is also bout the work environment indian corporates gave always been toxic n the hiring has akways been based on University n percentile than on skill sets...hence 70% do prefer abroad even though india is growing
Totally agree to all points
Well put content
The housing help point is underrated. Nobody talks about it.
Pt 4 is super important
Actually who ever says we have work life balance abroad that is only half statement the other half is pt 4. U have to cook clean n what not after going back home.
Thank you so much Prateek Sir for doing this!
Glad you liked it :)
Just love the content and delivery
Thank you for the love ❤️
Great video but you did elaborate loneliness and how climate plays a role in for us when we move abroad. I got a taste of it and it sucks to live abroad
Knowledgeable video,great work 😊
The Quality of the Video top notch
Smart people move to usa, dumb ones who can’t go to usa,go to canada.
Work pressure that you have for 100k is different from earning 25 Lakh in India . Work culture is best in the United States. If you keep PPP aside . You get lastest technology for affordable but in India it reaches people late and costlier when it arrives
When there is automated systems need of maid is very minimal unless you are physically challenged.
@@newbiekhyberExactly 💯. But as a country, as human beings , as a society - if one is incompetent, does he not deserve an average life. Does this mean only the bright and competent people should succeed. What should the others do? Others professions in India has no dignity. What's missing in India is dignity for other professions.
Your comment makes total sense and that exactly is wrong with India as a nation. .
Lmao that's not true. I know someone who is an iitian and who got a job at uber india (so i think he is competent enough) got laid off after 9 months and has been searching for jobs since last year but to no success. Now he is preparing for upsc and other state exams. When even such people don't have jobs, you know there is some problem with our economy
@@Epsilon3098 there is a thing called outliers... I know many who were laid off, but found a job pretty quickly (in 2-3 months).
@@newbiekhyber
"But these people will never blame their incompetence. "
Even IIT/IIM are not getting jobs. Are they also incompetent?
It is a failure of the government.
They don't have enough good universities.
They are not doing anything for unemployment.
They should have implemented 1 one-child policy.
"India's GDP is growing a lot, so India has a lot of opportunities" - That's a little misleading. GDP can grow for a lot of reasons, even without opportunities, and specially with crappy opportunities.
India gdp is only on papers getting good salary job very very hard
No matter, I will still settle abroad..💯
👀👀
Same here bro
1. 1$=82; 2. Status; 3. lack of hi-tech jobs; 4. quality of life.
Comparing the quality of life factors between Canada and India:
Air Quality:
- Canada generally has significantly better air quality compared to India, especially in major urban centers. India struggles with high levels of particulate matter pollution.
Road Safety:
- Canada has much safer roads with lower rates of traffic fatalities compared to India, which has high rates of road accidents and pedestrian/cyclist deaths.
Water Quality:
- The quality of drinking water is generally much higher in Canada compared to India, where access to clean water can be a major challenge.
Pollution:
- Overall pollution levels, including air, water and soil, are significantly lower in Canada compared to the severe pollution problems faced in many parts of India.
Corruption:
- Corruption levels are perceived to be lower in Canada compared to the relatively high levels of corruption in India, especially in public services.
Food Adulteration:
- Food safety regulations and enforcement are more robust in Canada, whereas food adulteration is a major issue in parts of India.
In summary, the quality of life indicators related to environment, infrastructure, public services and governance are considerably better in Canada compared to the challenges faced in India across these areas. Canada consistently performs better on global rankings of quality of life, environmental sustainability and human development compared to India.🇮🇳
And main factor is CAD vs ₹
Bare minimum wages in India 🇮🇳 manrega is ₹12000/- per month
Canada 🇨🇦 minimum wage is @$18/- PER HOUR
Indian monthly minimum wage = Canada per day Minimum wages

Under no circumstances does it make sense to forgo an abroad oppty compared to staying in India ..
The job quality is far far better .. environment is much better .. clear air, clear water ..
Purchasing power parity goes up 5x if you move abroad
The purchasing power in the west dipped hard. Basically you'll have to live in shared flat and eat cheap food at home to put a little money aside.
Did you do your masters in that country?
@@manthoo7271 no i did not study Abroad .came as an experienced IT employee on deputation .
Finally Someone speaking facts. Studying abroad and working is a hell lot of bullshitted by so called Instagram influencers in foreign countries. Anyone following these influencers I have only one sentence for you guys, '' These influencers are not tell you lies, but they are hiding the truth''. I hope people understand and make a calculative decision.
smahing that doll house in was absolutely unnecessary 😂
The things we do for engagement 😂
Special effect 😉
@@Zero1byZerodha GOT reference! You are a person of culture indeed :D
Trying to be cool
Was done in an attempt to emphasize the point. It was good actually.
This video is just like what many management professionals talk....less of content..more faf...video has no meat
This is so imformative ❤
You killed it !
This does apply only to engineering or MBBS. But what about STEM? It's better to study in India. I'm so lucky to study PG in Chennai, with my best friends around, which I won't get studying abroad.
Man of promise ❤
What about quality of food? Even though its just bread?
If you are in india you will not get respect, social status If you are doing private job, that's why people go to abroad doing job earn a lot of money and settled there because indians still have mindset that the government job is the only way of survival as most of indians don't want to work but expecting salary on time
This perception is slowly changing in India. If you are in a well-paid private job, you will have probably more respect compared to a few years ago.
The biggest regret I have in my life is not moving to the USA.
If you want to settle in a foreign country you need to plan from childhood
Even if you want a job there you need to plan in advance
indian youth going russia ukraine even israel shows state of unemployment 😢 no money in india
Too many people opportunities are less
@@Pritha879 yes
Job market here in the US is bad for international students and getting H1 is very difficult.
you should cover work visa issues, specially for students who went abroad and now they are literally deported due no work visa.. and this burden falls on family
The video only showcases what they need to tell. All the disadvantages of .lving abroad. They don't focus the ground reality check of an average Indian problems. GDP and international coverage of India won't suffice!
what makes you think India is at the trough and not at the peak?
Wages in India are too low. Most people are making very less money in India. Only a very small percentage of population pays income tax in India. Looking at the household disposable income is a good indication.
Civil Engineers any time highly rewarding in Western, Middle East than India (if you find a job there)
A farmer who is growing the apple it is better to sell then in the market instead of rotting them in the house.
Wonderful explanation ❤❤
Yes, keep these videos coming! 😅 Reminds me of that Monkey experiment
