Wow, what beautiful, must see that again scenery. Thank you for the download link. With a smile and good humor intended, I must tell you again that it was a disappointment that as a viewer/sightseer (not the pilot) the panel of your airplane blocked so much beautiful scenery. To your credit, you did switch to a full outside view for a few glorious seconds. Progress! 😊 Looking forward to the next one.

I'm a work in progress. I need to figure out how to set up a few external cameras like you can do inside the cockpit. For some planes, I can move them outside, but it still sounds like it is inside. The way I have it now, it will jump outside, and sound like it is outside, but I can't get any closer than what you are seeing. I can orbit all the around the plane, but that is as close as I can get for that "sphere" ... and I can only use that one angle. Inside the plane, I can set up as many cameras as I want. There has got to be a way to set up multiple ones outside, I just don't know how to do it. And I really want it to sound like we are outside when we GO outside. Any ideas?

@@MSFSFlightPlans Nick - try the Showcase (Drone) camera with an Xbox controller; which is perfect for flying the drone. Many direction control options are available, bind your preferences to the controller’s joysticks and buttons. Very useful to you may be the fact you can pause the airplane and fly the drone down to a point of interest, look around, and then resume the flight. Sort of the best on both airplane an helicopter worlds. Engine sounds decrease with the drone as you move away from the airplane. Likely others with much more drone and video recording knowledge than me have shared that on YT. Hope. This helps Steve

Thanks Nick. That was some of the best sim scenery ever, it was enhanced by the sun position for time of day you chose.

Just amazing! I'm going to hit it again around noon and see if it still looks that good.

I love hoodoos! This scenery looks fantastic, enjoyed it very much. The VLA is cool IRL but it doesn’t look like much in the sim without a mod. And I struggle with tail draggers too, so I’d gladly take suggestions. Maybe a group flight with tail draggers so we can all ride the struggle bus together?

Yes! The two hardest for me to land are the Twin Beech and the Cessna Businessliner.

I have been both, but I like Bruce more then the Grand Canyon. Its has so many different colours on every viewpoint.

Yeah true, but there’s a lot on my list in the USA.

This area even looks good on vanilla FlightGear with no scenery mods at all, that's how you know it's a nice view lol

Gorgeous flight! I wish, or rather dream of, that MSFS 2024 will look this good in the default state. 😅

It's funny you mentioned that, after I took the flight I was thinking, "I wonder if we will look back on these videos a few years from now and laugh about how astounded we were to see graphics like this?"

@@MSFSFlightPlans Yes, indeed! I'm curious what MSFS 2024 will bring to the table. They've said that they have new methods to render things like for example cliffs and rocks. But I guess it will always depend on the quality of the data they have. But I'll admit I'm very exited to see the changes in the new sim.
