Just going to look around and see if it's something I want to get involved in. My husband wants me to sell some of my roosters, but I don't know if I can bear to part with them.😥 I have a question that you could probably answer for me. What purpose do people normally buy roosters for at an auction? I have a few pure bred and mixed breeds.

Thanks for the reply. That puts my heart at ease a little. All my boys are perfectly happy here, and I would hate to send them off to slaughter. They are all so sweet and well behaved, all except for 1 red bantam named Delmar. He is the meanest little thing, but he is my husband's favorite. I might just tell him, if I have to sell mine, he has to sell Delmar too!😂

What do you think of bringing unwanted roosters to the auction? I actually got straight runs from my "local" auction, without a solid plan on what I was going to do with the roosters. It seems on it's face that would be more of a "don't". But if someone bought my little guys for 25¢ just to eat I'd be fine with that. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't being a dick.
Great question Vincent! Roosters are totally welcomed at auction. My latest auction video I was actually looking for Roosters. We take our excess roosters to auction all the time. The key is only have 1 or 2 roosters per cage for sale.
