Hi Tori - a great video as always and nice to see you back in Widdycomby! The portable power bank is also impressive and to be honest something I never really thought about - we had a diesel generator many years ago for use at some stables but it was not something you could use indoors or in a car - I have just followed the link and picked one up as it will be handy to keep around in case of power cuts this winter and for use on days out next spring and summer - a great recommendation, thanks ! (oh and there are Black Friday discounts too). Sleeping in a car also brought back happy memories, we used to regularly drive down on weekend trips to Cornwall(a hideous journey after work on a Friday but the pub we visited stayed open late for the idiots from London), so the car sleeping always involved much alcohol and the flexibility and hardiness of youth !! Keep these up, they are a brilliant tonic to start the weekend

It is a contrast, truthfully I am loving the autumn though so beautiful, I could do with it not getting dark so early though but it’s so nice a fresh feeling outside. Thank you, yeah it was a mixed bag of emotions tbh but I was forcing myself to get in with things, take care too 😊

I know both places well enough to park up in a different spot every night in my camper/motorhome (if I had one) ......but I couldn't do it between October and April in the UK. Yes, exactly what one needs to calm oneself before sleeping alone in a small van on a misty night in November on the moors: a vampire movie. The "electron bank" looks like a slick unit and probably does pretty well for one or maybe two days and nights use. But can you charge it when the car is running? That would really extend its capabilities.
😂 yes I find a nice soothing bit of vampire action before bed always helps me relax! The power bank is handy, yes you can plug it into the car to charge, use solar, or just take it into a cafe in a bag and plug it in which would be fastest!

Another great video, a little hack with my bluetti, I have a cheap inverter that runs from my van that charges the power station 10x quicker than just off your cigarette plug, tricks it into thinking its on the mains

You’ve got a good cooker if it was only drawing 500W. Do you know how much it drew when you first plugged it in? What the surge was? I think the 1000W Bluetti can handle a surge up to 1800w? well….it was both nice and depressing 🧐 yeah being able to use the cooker was amazing, it’s supposed to be 800w per side at full volume so it was actually pulling less than it said it would. I didn’t notice the surge, but yes that one is supposed to have that boost so so it shouldn’t be a problem running stuff up to 1000w. To pricey for what they are. When I can get one for less than my van cost me then I'll quit using the lighter sockets in it! Nice scenery none-the-less. Come Friday, I'll be M.O.T'd to freedom and on the road a helluva lot more. You'll know the bus cos it looks like a dodgem with the Ham radio antenna on the roof... plus the weather chasing beacons. Sad sign of the times we find ourselves :( Hopefully the universe brings you a slightly bigger vehicle, so you can stretch out, maybe another four legged friend to guard the site and you ! it’s a good band name! it’s so good one of my favourite dinners. i honestly don’t think anything bad would happen to me on the moor, but if you aren’t feeling it, also it’s forbidden and you know how law abiding i am! haha i was thinking how massive anything else will feel after this. the van is a palace, even an estate car would feel big! i did keep wondering where my long legs would go 🐾 honestly people in Australia are brave, i watched that awful film many years ago is it called wolf creek?! so i do not think I’d be camping there 😅 at least in the uk no chance of bears, but we aren’t even allowed pepper spray either which is ridiculous! not allowed to be prepared defend yourself basically it’s weird. really glad you like it thank, you too! 💜🌞
Have you ever been to the Shropshire hills? The cow walking in the road at the very beginning reminded me of a work trip that took me through the national park there and there were wild horses roaming about in the early morning mist. It was quite spooky but a very nice and unique experience.
i have on my way to Wales so only briefly but I was really taken with the area, the Long Myndd wow! that sounds amazing I didn’t see wild horses, i want to go back up that way though definitely 😊
Misty Dartmoor seems to be your goto place! Spooky, especially after watching a Vampire TV show. I was thinking "American Werewolf in London" vibes with the mist and moors. That film always terrified me as a young boy lol. Nice to see you wearing a Poppy... Been wearing mine also.. Think I need to get a little power bank for car camping. I saw they were selling Eco Flow ones today in PC World, when I was shopping for something for my Dad. I had a quick look at them.
haha it is, I wouldn’t have minded some sun but you have to take what you can get right. ok i am watching that tomorrow your’e the second person to mention it! yes and it was a kin of plastic one so held up quite well ☺️ I think they are pretty cool, eco flow good, check the charging times some of them are mega slow but i think eco flow is fast like the bluetti was. it’s extremely handy to have in the car, but also in the garden anywhere my plug wont reach!
Great power bank Tori great review and perfect for car camping, you could always fit a solar panel on roof bars to charge or better still a split charger❤

Split charger is only worth fitting if you have a leisure battery as the power pack can be charged via a cigarette lighter type socket on the car while you are driving and this works reasonably well. If the car has a smart alternator, a split charger won't work properly any way, a DC to DC charger would be a much better option. Fitting a solar panel flat on the roof of a vehicle is also inefficient as the panel needs to point towards the sun. A better way to use solar is to carry a stand alone panel which can be positioned correctly and used on sunny days.
@@stephenjames59 this car has a 90A alternator more than enough. regarding solar a 200w would fit and could be made to tilt we have done this many times but on these gloomy days no one gets much input facing the sun or flat.

All the vanlife channels have done Power Bank promotions at some point and if you needed one and were offered a free one, to include a little promo in your video I would. Just an idea , you could buy a cheap caravan and put it on a site as a base to work and live , you could still do all the camping in a car etc
I think this would work really well for me, I just need to find somewhere to put it, any ideas? Then maybe I could rescue another 🐕

I am a small TH-camr.
I hated talking to the camera.
I watched so many people and how I thought it should be done.
Now I just crack on without worry or stress.

Today I was on a mountain, no tent, I'm a short video without me saying a word.
Perhaps 4-5 mins.
I like to experiment, I play around with shorts, no music and then music etc.

🤣 yep o it’s the best, but the ponies did not visit me in Widdecombe! which was sad but i guess we can’t all have the luck. haha yeah, I was very happy to try ity out they are so cool! had they been around like this when i was converting the van I never would have spent all that time time learning electronics and wiring everything up!! it’s extremely handy just having it all inside there and ready to go. totally what the bongo needs! ❤️ xx

it’s a good band name! it’s so good one of my favourite dinners. i honestly don’t think anything bad would happen to me on the moor, but if you aren’t feeling it, also it’s forbidden and you know how law abiding i am!
haha i was thinking how massive anything else will feel after this. the van is a palace, even an estate car would feel big! i did keep wondering where my long legs would go 🐾
honestly people in Australia are brave, i watched that awful film many years ago is it called wolf creek?! so i do not think I’d be camping there 😅 at least in the uk no chance of bears, but we aren’t even allowed pepper spray either which is ridiculous! not allowed to be prepared defend yourself basically it’s weird.

Have you ever been to the Shropshire hills? The cow walking in the road at the very beginning reminded me of a work trip that took me through the national park there and there were wild horses roaming about in the early morning mist. It was quite spooky but a very nice and unique experience.
i have on my way to Wales so only briefly but I was really taken with the area, the Long Myndd wow! that sounds amazing I didn’t see wild horses, i want to go back up that way though definitely 😊
Misty Dartmoor seems to be your goto place! Spooky, especially after watching a Vampire TV show. I was thinking "American Werewolf in London" vibes with the mist and moors. That film always terrified me as a young boy lol.

Think I need to get a little power bank for car camping. I saw they were selling Eco Flow ones today in PC World, when I was shopping for something for my Dad. I had a quick look at them.
haha it is, I wouldn’t have minded some sun but you have to take what you can get right. ok i am watching that tomorrow your’e the second person to mention it! yes and it was a kin of plastic one so held up quite well ☺️
I think they are pretty cool, eco flow good, check the charging times some of them are mega slow but i think eco flow is fast like the bluetti was. it’s extremely handy to have in the car, but also in the garden anywhere my plug wont reach!

Great power bank Tori great review and perfect for car camping, you could always fit a solar panel on roof bars to charge or better still a split charger❤

Split charger is only worth fitting if you have a leisure battery as the power pack can be charged via a cigarette lighter type socket on the car while you are driving and this works reasonably well. If the car has a smart alternator, a split charger won't work properly any way, a DC to DC charger would be a much better option. Fitting a solar panel flat on the roof of a vehicle is also inefficient as the panel needs to point towards the sun. A better way to use solar is to carry a stand alone panel which can be positioned correctly and used on sunny days.
@@stephenjames59 this car has a 90A alternator more than enough. regarding solar a 200w would fit and could be made to tilt we have done this many times but on these gloomy days no one gets much input facing the sun or flat.

Small TH-cam channels make little to no money. There was a "Contains Paid Promotion" tag over the video when I viewed it.
I don't see the problem. All the vanlife channels have done Power Bank promotions at some point and if you needed one and were offered a free one, to include a little promo in your video I would.
