Thank you for this informative video. I recently bought a Franck Muller Vanguard V 45 SC DT AC NR (the one with the high-polished steel bezel and the black dial) and I absolutely love it. It is very flashy and I have got more compliments for this watch than on any other of my luxury watches from Rolex, Omega and Breitling before. Give this watch brand with its beautiful watches more love, people!
Totally agree, they're beautiful watches & without a doubt they're statement pieces, and for all that Rolex is popular...a Franck Muller will still get more attention than it with its distinctive tonneau cases. Enjoy your Vanguard! :D
They get a lot of hate in the watch community, some of it earned but there are still plenty of reasons that they still deserve respect for some of the great watches they've made and still make :)
This was an incredible video. Glad someone is making videos for people to easily understand and digest! I think the Franck Muller Vanguards are beautiful! I definitely still think Franck Muller has value today and I think they still have some awesome innovation as compared to brands like Cartier and Rolex.
Thanks! Glad you liked it! I definitley think that Franck Muller's a misunderstood brand these days, but i'd say its more to do with faults in their marketing than with their watches - and their innovations are definitely among the most creative around! Thanks for watching :)
Pleased to see a positive review of Franck Muller. I think they are very good value watches in the secondary market as high quality finish using precious metals. You make a very good point about the efficiency of the platinum rotor too.
Without a doubt, they're really a brand that does deserve more attention and while they may have had a few off moments in the last few years - that still doesn't undo their achievements especially in the 90s & early 2000s, and even some of their new models are pretty promising too :)
FM is quite popular in Japan, featuring the whole collections in all kinds of doramas and worn as a luxury watch by CEO's, rich kids and ofc yakuza)) That's where it got my attention. Thanx for information about FM, quite hard to find anything.
That’s really interesting! It’s always cool learning about different watch cultures and what watches are more or less popular in different markets. I’d love to go to Japan some day to see what the watch scene is like, definitely it’s on my bucket list. Thanks for watching & commenting :)

I Highly Respect his Design, Engineering, and quality of his custom builds - in fact I’m in awe!! He only uses Precious Metals, or Special Materials, and hand makes every piece. Because of the rarity I would think they should hold value. Thank You for an awesome Video!
You're welcome & glad you liked it! For sure Franck Muller's a misunderstood brand these days & even to a degree a victim of his own success, I don't think the expectations would be so high for the brand if it hadn't been so hot for so long before, but I guess that's the business!

Glad it helped! The conquistadors a classic for Franck Muller & there’s tons of great deals out there for them. Good luck with your search and let me know which one you end up buying :)
This 3 year old video holds up well, good job. Casablanca just landed on my wrist and I definitely understand the allure of Franck Muller. Unique design and unmatched comfort. Master of Complications 3 hander works great for me :D
Couldn’t agree more, they really made that tonneau shape their own and while I’m not sure if business wise it’s helped but you have to give them props to sticking with it even through their decline. I’d love to get hands on with one of their newer models too so I can see how they stack up, but their classics are amazing - I’m on the lookout for a master banker :D
For most of my life platinum was more than twice as much as gold and when making things out of precious metals, there is absolutely no waste. You can vacuum out the cracks in jewelry districts once every several decades and find a tiny bit of gold and tiny jewels but no. There’s really no waste at all. Precious metals do no by themselves make anything cost much more than the labor and the materials in the actual product. It’s the very expensive labor and the name that makes things cost a lot. If they’re still in business, which they are they’re doing fine. They’re still the most unique looking watches out there.

Great video and love the channel, just found you because of this video. Franck Muller has always caught my eye and for some reason I love their tonneau style and curved dome. I never knew about them until recently until someone mentioned the brand, so it completely passed me by when they were popular. I don't think I'd ever buy one new, but definitely good value for your money pre-owned.
Thanks & welcome to the channel! It really is a very interesting brand & I agree the curved glass is a really nice touch for their tonneau shaped watches (and also apparently its very hard to engineer that curved sapphire). Hopefully I can get my hands on a few more of their current watches to show some of their other more modern offerings :)

bought a silver dial Conquistador in 1999. it was a beautiful watch and i loved it. then started to shop for another one. around that period i was in love with this Brand. there was something special about FM watches unlike all other watches. a beautiful Aura i should say.. Mr Franck Muller is a Genius and a creator. he deserves better and the company should've/could've been in a better place in the world of Horology today. unfortunately luck wasn't on his side due to some major differences between him and his business partner mr Vartan Sirmakes. about 10 years ago i sold my watch on a Trade. gone but not forgotten. i would really like to buy one in the near future... hopefully.. thank you . i enjoyed your great video.

Havent had one in hand, but in general I love the idea of the Master Banker. From what I've seen on pictures it appears that you can set all 3 time zones independently, including minutes (very useful for time zones like India where it's GMT +5:30 instead of a whole hour) and thats something very few if any other multi-timezone watches offer. Pre-Owned is definitely the way to go though for FM, their retail prices for the most part (in house movements being the exception) really make no sense

I thnk, i'm not 100% but pretty sure, i've seen a blue dial crazy hours in rose gold but not sure about yellow gold. But tbh its so hard finding all the different combinations and permutations on Franck Mullers especially since they make them in small numbers, I think a lot of the people that buy them just keep them and they never pop up for sale...and well their website is pretty hopeless for finding current and past models 🤣
I was made redundant at the same time as being made to go into medical retirment due to Multiple Sclerosis, so I was able to purchase one of my "Grail" watches a Franck Muller Casablanca with date. @@ShahLusso I managed to find a good pre-owned version from an authorized jewelers in Melbourne, Australia. They also agreed to send both the watch and the papers & case separately so I managed to miss the customs payment due on the watch :-)

Yeah I saw that! The modded bracelet is sooooo 2000s, but I wonder if Franck Muller will capitalize on the free publicity and make some new Benneifer edition 😂

I had a lot of compliments on my Yachting steel gold. It ooks fun, unique, and elegant at the same time.
I also believe that FM value, especially for gold older model watches will come back strong . There is not that many this kind of classy looking watches. There wii me demand again and prices for older models particularly will go up. I would say it reasonable prudent to buy and invest in old gold FM while prices still low Thank you again for your blog
You may be onto something, right now both precious metals on nearly all brands and Franck Muller as a brand are notorious for their depreciation so hopefully that should open up some opportunities for their prices to rise compared to current pricing especially if Franck Muller manages to mount any sort of recovery on the retail side. Also there's just some really distinct models in their back catalogue, I'm currently slightly obsessed with their 7000 CC round watch with the black dial, and also the Master Banker Havana.

It's on my wishlist! I'm hoping to get a yellow gold Reverso Duoface (270.1.54), just need to save up a bit longer then find the right example, but a JLC is definitely in the pipeline :D
I am planning to gift myself with Vanguard AC NR V32 (fully aware that it is a female size cuz, my wrist is kinda small lol) or moonphase. Are the diamonds going to withstand the wear and tear of daily usage? Thank you!
If it's the one i think it is (steel model) then you should be ok with normal day-to-day use because the settings for the stones would be steel too. With gold or platinum models there's more of a concern of stones coming out due to softer metals but with steel you should be fine especially if you don't knock your watch particularly hard.
For the listing of the exact watch featured in the video here's a link to the website (if the watch is still available): watchesmarket.com/franck-muller-en-gb/pre-owned-franck-muller-wj1477 Otherwise, you should be able to find examples (& prices) of it on chrono24 by searching for the reference number: 8880 CH Hope that helps :)
In my 15 watches collection, i have 4 FM and non Rolex. FM watch gives me that prestige feel whereas Rolex is worn by too many people so there is no wow factor
💯 Franck Mullers just have that specialness factor that so few manufacturers manage to achieve. I hope to add a Master Banker to my collection soon…just need to find the right one 😁
When the ass drops out of Rolex as the end users drop out of the inflated game, myself included, interesting fun brands like FM will rise again. Always loved the colour dreams. Just so different and fun.
Shah Lusso I regret not picking up a lightly used Master Banker that was reduced twice in a shop window. Just something so cool about that piece. And the pun on the name makes me smile. Could have picked it up for about 30% of the original list price although a full service would probably be a bit of a haircut. They also do cool boxes in walnut and have a vintage vibe. Rolex boxes are way dull in comparison. I’ve read FM himself has been disassociated with the brand he started for some years and some say they are just cashing in on the association with the great man himself. That makes me think Twice.
Who can tell me a price on a Franck Muller? In white gold, brown gator band. Master of Complications "Casablanca" No117, 5850 is all stamped on the back.
i own a franck muller vangaurd v45 carbon Its absolutely amazing my pride and joy , Usually people think im wearing a richard millie though 250k look for 9800 quid not bad .... i will never sell this watch
The Vanguard carbon really is an amazing looking watch, and it's so light on the wrist too! And yeah, definitely something that punches above its weight in terms of how expensive it looks, great watch!
No longer the “it” watchmaker. Watch buyers are now more into the details than they used to be. Guys like fpj etc are doing the independent watchmaker thing much better and at a higher level. Lots of sub 10k watches with eta movements to choose from.
very true, if only they'd read the signs and leaned more into their origins of independent watchmaking they would have seen that in house innovation was on the rise and they could have held onto their dominance
Sorry to hear that your're going to have to sell it due to hard times, hopefully things get better soon so you don't have to sell it or so that you can buy it back some day 🙏
well i looked at it and now i guess i was wrong about the crazy numbers its a normal numbers now i gues im getting old but i remember it because of the crazy numbers oh well anyways its an awesome light blue but i dont know if its real i didnt even know they made fake watches besides rolex untill recently i got embezzed by my own son so cash is really for food but i have many watches im going to have to sell as fake since i dont know if real (sucks) all watch places always says fake unless they sold it to u is what im finding out when i ask how they could tell they say i just could
Yep, unfortunately these days when someone sees a tonneau shaped watch they default to think its an RM...I've even heard people claim that Franck Muller stole the shape from them (despite the fact that FM was operating long before Richard Mille started making watches in 2001)
If it makes you feel any better they’re much less featured in hip hop than before. If you don’t want a watch associated with hip hop then might want to knock Rolex, Patek, Hublot, AP and RM off your wishlist too if they were on it
Franck muller watches make me feel good. There watches are truly distinctive and convey a unique presence
Very true, they’re not seen that often and the way their cases and glass curve around there’s not much out there like it
They’re very sexy looking with the curves of the polished case and hand painted numerals on the dial. Very classy as well.

Recieving £8,550 is what I never expected, all thanks to Mr nicholas on in Instagram @nicholas__fxtrade who put smile on my face through Bitcoin investments every week
Mr. Lusso! We need to get you set up with a Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos Clock! Lemme know brother.
It's on my wishlist! I'm hoping to get a yellow gold Reverso Duoface (270.1.54), just need to save up a bit longer then find the right example, but a JLC is definitely in the pipeline :D
@@ShahLusso okay awesome plan. Yeah go watch first, but then the Atmos! Can have it running behind you in videos!
@@ShahLusso Yes, it is the stainless steel one =)
Thanks for the response!
My father have Franck Muller Crazy hour color dream pre-own for sale...
Beautiful watch, sorry to hear you're letting it go, but hopefully you find a nice new home for it :)
How much this watch ?
How can i buy this
Reply soon
For the listing of the exact watch featured in the video here's a link to the website (if the watch is still available): watchesmarket.com/franck-muller-en-gb/pre-owned-franck-muller-wj1477
Otherwise, you should be able to find examples (& prices) of it on chrono24 by searching for the reference number: 8880 CH
Hope that helps :)
Cool
@@ShahLusso tnx🙏
again tnx
Franck Muller watches look so much better than a lot of the Rolex models.
💯
querido amigo me encanta esta marca podrás hacerlo en español?
Claro q si, ya lo tengo grabado así q con suerte y tiempo terminaría la edición mañana así para subirlo
I love 💕 their remember watch
Hopefully they can make a comeback, they're still hanging in as a brand but i feel they need something to properly bring them back to prominence
Way better than RM. Not that expensive compared to RMs it's like a steal.
💯
When the ass drops out of Rolex as the end users drop out of the inflated game, myself included, interesting fun brands like FM will rise again. Always loved the colour dreams. Just so different and fun.
Yep, in the meantime though it's a great time to buy FM especially on the secondary market
That makes me think
Twice.
Own any Jaeger-LeCoultre?
Mil gracias amigo mío
De nada compadre

Mil gracias.Cuidate muchísimo
Anybody here have any Jaeger-LeCoultre?
My dad bought my mom one of these and I wanted to know if we were rich
Hard to tell based just on that, but the safe assumption would be you're not doing too bad :)
I thought he wrote comic books 😅
😂 i think the Dark Knight Returns would have been very different if Franck Muller wrote it
@@ShahLusso 😅😅😅 yea their is a villain called clock king he probally would have a larger role 😅
Who’s here after watching lil Wayne interview?
No longer the “it” watchmaker. Watch buyers are now more into the details than they used to be. Guys like fpj etc are doing the independent watchmaker thing much better and at a higher level. Lots of sub 10k watches with eta movements to choose from.
very true, if only they'd read the signs and leaned more into their origins of independent watchmaking they would have seen that in house innovation was on the rise and they could have held onto their dominance
Fpj cost like 10 times more then fm on used market,so it’s uncorrect compression imo
Truth, all the luxury watches are just rip-off.
He changed his name to Millie 🤨
🤣🤣
i have a womens crazy numbers one hope its real i dont remember were i got it from it was in the 90s going to to sell it
hard times
Sorry to hear that your're going to have to sell it due to hard times, hopefully things get better soon so you don't have to sell it or so that you can buy it back some day 🙏
well i looked at it and now i guess i was wrong about the crazy numbers its a normal numbers now i gues im getting old but i remember it because of the crazy numbers oh well anyways its an awesome light blue but i dont know if its real i didnt even know they made fake watches besides rolex untill recently i got embezzed by my own son so cash is really for food but i have many watches im going to have to sell as fake since i dont know if real (sucks) all watch places always says fake unless they sold it to u is what im finding out when i ask how they could tell they say i just could
Franck Muller the master of complications
They got completely overwalked by richard mille.
Yep, unfortunately these days when someone sees a tonneau shaped watch they default to think its an RM...I've even heard people claim that Franck Muller stole the shape from them (despite the fact that FM was operating long before Richard Mille started making watches in 2001)
I actually have one of these watches that I bought from EBay for 60 dollars. I went to a watch store and used a diamond detector and it was legit lol
Howww? 😂😂
Not a fan of the wierd numbers on his pieces
The resell value of Frank Muller is total CRAP.
Yep, makes it great for a pre-owned buy though :D
@Schweinefresser you sound a jerk off
INTRIDUCTION MUCH TOO LONG
0:16 aaah you piece of shit 🤣
The fact he has an association with hip hop makes me not want one.
If it makes you feel any better they’re much less featured in hip hop than before. If you don’t want a watch associated with hip hop then might want to knock Rolex, Patek, Hublot, AP and RM off your wishlist too if they were on it
Rubbish. Irrelevant. Overpriced.
What's your watch?
