      That's a bad observation because cutting hair and actually having hair are two separate things. It's like saying that it's weird that a dog trainer doesn't have any dogs or that a MMA fighter is a pacifist

      Get a semi permanent ,but instead of using curling rods just keep combing poker straight. Leave on for recommend time as you would for a perm then rinse out and dry. Your hair will come out poker straight.

    Blow drying does cause heat damage even when doing it as he suggested. Blow drying causes a "flash drying" effect that not only removes the surface moisture but also removes water that is bound to the hair, which is called water of hydration. The effect of this flash drying is that the cuticles become dry, rigid and brittle. When the hair flexes or is combed, the pressure causes the cuticles to crack. Combing hair with this degree of cuticle cracking causes significant breakage. He says the damage comes from the technique and not the heat. I would have to disagree and say, yes the severity of damage comes with the technique, but all heat does damage hair.

    I went to a hair salon and the hair dresser fried my hair literally. It's all frizzy now :( now my scalp is burning and feels like my hair is too heavy in the area that he straightened excessively in the back. Idk what to do. Felt as if my scalp is burnt.

I have long hair and I"m not a spring chidken lol and MUST dry my hair or I get migraines and I've never hurt my hair...of course it also might depend on what type of hair people have too. Some people have more delicate hair so they are careful like you showed should be OK. I'm glad you are OK. :)

    What about straight irons with inferred light and heat? Claims to be less damaging for hair because it heats the strands from the inside out and is supposed to lock in moisture instead of drying out the strands, also something to do with negative ions. It seems like heating from the inside out would be more damaging for hair. A professional opinion would be much appreciated.

    I realized when I blow dried and straightened my hair, I used a spray to get the curls to stay in tact, but I noticed the middle section of my hair broke off. I used 450 degrees because I have 4c hair and I want to know what I can do better in the future. Not sure if you’ve worked with Afro textured hair

    • @Anonyme67
      @Anonyme67 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try to watch natural hair video. The natural hair community do no recommend blow dryer on our hair. Me personally after moisturizing my haire I put then in twist and let them dry. To stretch them I do the African treading first then I use a hot bush on low heat (but it is not silky though).

    Question: Can you use a blow dryer without any Heat protectant to blow dry your hair? The blow dryer won’t be right next to the hair though , 6 inches away.

    • @nicwatchesvids
      @nicwatchesvids 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      SpOOky Time Uploads you should probably still use a heat protectant. your hair has follicles, and when you use heat on your hair, the follicles expand and stick up, making the hair look frizzy, and if the follicles are up, heat can get inside the hair-shaft and damage the hair. heat protectants basically lock down the follicles, making it so that not only will your hair be a lot less damaged, but it’ll look smoother!
      [i got this info from my aunt who’s a cosmetologist lol i’m no expert]
