I couldn’t agree more with the comment below. I just lost a client and then my dryer stopped working. I have no money for expensive repairs or (worse yet) a new dryer. I’ve been in a panic for days-watching videos and testing fuses. Then I found this video with an only slightly different model than my dryer. The clouds parted and the angels sang. I followed the instructions almost to the letter and found the tiny little $* that caused me massive amounts of stress and several sleepless night. I’m deeply grateful.
My pleasure, keep it mind, you might need to replace it, not always. Check your venting behind the dryer and venting to outside. If you have a screen, remove it. Restriction can increase air temperature. The hotter it gets it could trip it again
Thank you for making this video. I have this exact dryer, but revision 10 instead of 15 and your instructions were excellent. I was having trouble finding the overheat sensor and mine had tripped in the middle of a cycle leaving damp hot clothes and a dryer that didn’t turn on. I happened to have kept a parts kit handy when I replaced the heat cycling sensor a few years ago, but I didn’t know I should have changed that overheat sensor too and didn’t even know it existed until now actually. 😅 Thanks again! Saved my day.
if the dryer was working and then all of a sudden stopped working, light doesn't come on, doesn't turn on, etc., would this be the first thing you would do?
Well what kind of dryer are you working on? Give me a model number sounds like you need to check the breaker first, check the child lock, door lock , belt switch, broken belt, thermal fuse.
@@appliancerepairshorts sorry I wasn't clear. My door light wasn't turning on as well as the dryer was just totally unresponsive and not running. I just got done checking both fuses and the smaller of the two didn't have continuity, used your drop trick and it's working fine again (hopefully until the new one arrives.) Now the difficulty is I'm having trouble finding the exact fuse online, there's a lot that appear VERY similar, but I can't seem to find the identical one.

Awesome video very helpful information!!! Thank you for sharing
Appreciate your feedback
Would either of these fuses being tripped cause the internal light to not turn on when opening the door?
Check your light socket or door switch
