Perfect video, thank you for doing this! One thing to mention is that the belt may feel loose until you get the tumbler back on the rollers. This actually made it even easier to install the belt than in the video, but don't freak out (like I did) and think the belt is the wrong size. It tightened up when I lifted in in place and is working like a charm.
Without a doubt, the best "DIY" video I have ever seen in my life. I love the way you take it slow, and your voice is so calming, while we're all freakin' out, "did I screw this up even more?", "holy crap, I wonder how much a new dryer will cost?", etc. I had replaced the blower fan but after re-assembly, the tumble was not tumbling! I thought perhaps the belt went bad or something, but this video showed me about that "grove" that the belt can slip into, and sure enough it did. Totally easy fix. Thank for this vid. I would donate, but I am so broke right now. I will have to catch up to you later. NOW, I am moving on to the ice maker, that even Sears Home Warranty can't fix! Ugggg
Thanks so much Michael, I really appreciate that. For the ice maker, can you transfer all the ice and food to the fridge and then unplug the fridge and open the freezer door for 6 hours. Maybe put some party ice from the store in the fridge to keep things cool. You want the freezer and ice maker to totally defrost. That may then allow the water that was frozen to flow again to the ice maker👍

Excellent video. I ordered a belt on Amazon not knowing the size. I got a 92" belt and my dryer needed a 100". Late night run to Home Depot and Lowes left me with nothing. I thought I might get lucky trimming a 100" automotive serpentine belt. I found one model # 1061000 with it you can make 3 belts. We'll see how long it'll last.
Excellent -- thank you!!!! So glad I found this after lots of searching. My belt broke (same model) and was an easy fix thanks to your clear instructions and video shots. Quick question: I replaced the rollers along with the belt but my dryer is still making a rumbling noise. Could it be the white idler pulley?? Seemed to have a lot of play in it when I threaded the new belt. Is it awkward to replace?
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance Thanks so much!! I replaced the idler wheel and that helped a lot. Last of all I replaced the blower wheel -- runs quiet as a mouse now.
When the belt is in good condition is it possible to turn the drum by hand in either direction? Anyone know? I can turn the drum by hand but it has some resistance. Thank you
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance Nope. The belt was broken and on the floor of the dryer. Got one on order. Got the drum rollers clean and lubricated same thing for the idler pulley.
Thanks for the help, nice video!
Thank you😊
finally. the only video that actually shows how to get the belt on the pulleys correctly.. and with the least hassle. thank you. donating.
Thanks so much Matthew,
I really appreciate it.
That’s one of the most difficult belts to put on correctly.
What is the part number for the belt

Great job Marc,

Thank you made it look so easy. Great video
You’re welcome😊
I just fixed my dryer. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much!! This is so helpful!!
That’s what I love to hear😊
Thanx... worked like a charm.
What would you recommend if after installation, the belt moves out of its place when spinning?
The belt might be a few inches too close to the front of the dryer.
It should be lined up perfectly with the motor pulley👍
I have that same dryer also but it’s Maytag. What does it mean when your belt is not broke but the tumbler won’t spin?
I think the door switch might be broken. Can you hear a hum when it’s supposed to spin
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance yes Sir. When I turn it on I can hear a hum but it doesn’t turn.
For what model is this repair?
Anyone know?
Thank you
Besides not spinning, drum will not turn by hand. Do I need belt or "repair" kit with pulleys, etc.
My dryer was just humming when I tried turning it on. Opened it up and drum wouldn’t spin it was just the belt when I inspected it. Hope this helps.
Thanks Drew!
It would be good to get that panel off so you can see what’s happening 👍
Finally I could try fixing the dryer before my parents come home😂
Good idea😂😂😂

I bet it’s the idler wheel.
Pretty easy to replace 😊

I wanna try but I'm nervous 😬

@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance thanks do you think home depot has belts for dryers?

Yep,
Your belt is still on👍

thanks man!!! top outside looks a bit different, but front panel and inside same as my Maytag heavy duty LDE7400ACW
