¿What makes it so smooth? I have an italian coffe maker and I can´t get that smoothness, and both have metalic filters. Thanks
¿Qué es lo que hace que salga espumoso? Con mi cafetera italiana no sale así y también tiene mallas/filtros de metal iguales/similares. Gracias

Its not about filter. Manual machines usually make smoother textured espresso than auto machines

Hmm im really not too sure to be honest with you!
Here's what it could be tho:
The coffee you are using, the lower temp that you pull your shot at and maybe the lower pressure.
Most likely it could even be a combination of all of these things!

Wow, you pulled a very beautiful shot!!! Do yoy know if there is any plastic in this machine? This is so cool

There is some plastic, such as the seals however the base is made of solid steel and the espresso machine itself is constructed from metal with a real wooden vernier

Is it possible to preheat the cylinder like in the flair by putting it on top of the kettle so you don't need to waste water and time?

Nope not really a way to do that with the Aram, possibly the basket but not the chamber

I used to have this too. Its really frustrating to pre-heat this thing since its a solid metal product. I have to pour off the boil water twice to get that 91-90 celcius brewing temperature and this thing generates metal powder inside as you screw. Beautiful product, but this is faulty and tricky device

      Hey cheers for the comment!
I totally understand the pre-heating issue and while I can see it being annoying for some I found that it doesn't disrupt my workflow enough for me to stop using the Aram.
In regards to the metal powder issue, I have not experienced this but this would be a very big concern. If you haven't already, I advise you get in touch with Aram to get to the bottom of this.
Can I ask where the metal powder appears? are you sure it isn't fine coffee grounds?
      Cheers

Not sure is metal powder issue or not. But they are using a white substance coating the all the movement parts for lubricating purpose, after awhile it becomes black color/metal powder. You will see it when disassemble it for cleaning. It’s a huge health concern for possible toxicity as they never explain what kind of lubricants they use. For sure the hot water are mix with the lubricants when you brew the coffee
