    I developed osteopenia in 3 places from taking anastrozole for almost 11 years and Exemestane since April 2021 due to breast ca recurrence. Learned about K2 from you. In just a few months of taking K2 with Vitamin D3, my bone density test have shown huge improvement in my lumbar spine and femoral heads. I’ve been taking D3 for years because without it my blood level of D is low. My oncologist said maybe that’s why I got breast cancer. Thank you.

      I only started taking Vitamin D3 in 2011 after my test showed Low blood Vitamin D. It was my GYN doctor who ordered the test. My primary doctor never ordered the test. After I told my oncologist about my low D result my oncologist said maybe that’s why I got breast cancer. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. Even my oncologist did not test me for vitamin D.

      @@zonrey2781 Thanks for the clarity. I guess vitamin d 3 then is a good vitamin to take! You seem to be doing well with your battle against breast cancer. I assume it’s in remission, and, if correct, I’m very happy for you! How much vitamin d3 do you take daily? Yeah, doctors don’t typically test vitamin levels, not sure why. Kudos to your OB/GYN doctor! It’s important to be your own advocate and be proactive with your own healthcare.

      I take Vitamin D3 50,000iu once a month. 2000iu daily with NatureMade K2 100mcg. Initially I was instructed to take 50,000iu once a week plus 2000iu daily for 3 months. When my blood D level went up to 40 the 50,000 was changed to once a month. Turned out low D level runs in my father’s side. With just taking D3, I developed osteopenia. With K2 for just a few months my bone density test shows huge improvement in 3 places. Bone density test is every 2 years for me.

      You should definitely check with your doctor for individualized recommendations! They should check your serum vitamin D levels so you know how much to supplement. Also, run your vitamin C dose by your doctor because high dose vit C supplementation is not recommended with CKD.

    • @wanaboed
      @wanaboed 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When it comes to Vitamin D3,
      40,000 IU = 1 mg.
      I'm not sure why that is, but even 1 mg of D3 is considered a "mega" dose, I don't think it's not that high. If you're very low on your blood vitamin D level (like under 30 ng/mL), you can safely take 40,000 IU of Vitamin D3 for a month or two, and then you'll have satisfying blood Vitamin D level rather than taking a long route by consuming just 5,000 IU of Vitamin D3 a day which can take you months if not years to reach a satisfying blood vitamin D level

    • @wanaboed
      @wanaboed 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @PlantBasedKidneyHealth
      @PlantBasedKidneyHealth  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      You'll want to check your dose with your physician for individualized recommendations as D3 dose will be based on blood levels. 1000-2000 IU is generally a maintenance dose. Higher amounts likely needed if blood levels are low.

    • @Unknown-hu4gf

      None... Just use vitamin K as it has both in it and is less expensive than just isolated K2. Most multivitamins have K in them at the RDA which should be sufficient for most.
