if you're interested in hearing a higher fidelity recording of this, i think someone posted a vinyl rip of this track. th-cam.com/video/Vz2Lv1MnFyg/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for letting us know!! I’ll pin your comment as many have asked for higher quality audio! I own the same vinyl, but sadly don’t have methods to do a vinyl rip. Otherwise I’d post the full vinyls too (I have 3 albums by Y)
@@jonathancourbet that video also has some other KY interpretations that I had not heard before including the Ly Cygne, paganini 24th. also a recording of la boda luis de alonso. the profile has a few other vinyl rips including the Larry Coryell collaboration, bach suite, dvorak 9th, and pictures. i haven't listened to them enough to actually figure out if they are any different from the CD versions out there.
I had the vinyl LP, autographed by him, which included this performance and Saint-Saëns' 'Le Cygne' until my mother threw it away with all my junk while I was out of the house for a while. Since then, I have not heard of this performance for nearly 40 years. Thanks a lot for uploading!
I leave the comment here as a teaser. I've bought this vinil (two pieces) in Japan and waiting for the deleivery right now. When I get it I will try to convert vinil to digital files. Will let you know!
Of course, i love this classical piece. Hungarian Rhap by Liszt was my favorite since i was a kid. But, starting at faster tempo (2:08) w titillation just struck me, Wow! @@frang2023 oh wow, I never knew about that. You think it's still out somewhere. At this point someone should archive every Yamashita video as soon as it's uploaded

Leaving a dislike because there's an advert right in the middle, if you have any respect for music you wouldn't try to monetise this piece of history that won't even make more than 2c a year anyway, shameful.
i didn’t even know there was monetisation as i’ve used youtube premium for years and uploaded this nearly 7a ago, i would have removed the ads just for your enjoyment or sent you the high-resolution audio if you let me know but since you chose to be a dickhead about it, i don’t think i will bother :) thanks for declaring your dislike though, we don’t care
Alright well it's not exactly easy listening, and I'm obviously not trying to learn it off, so it's not something I'll be listening to that often. So if you're leaving the ad up it's just for whoever else finds the video, I mostly left the comment for whoever felt the same way in future as most channels don't seem to monitor their comment section. So If you wanna be petty about it then that's fine, you went to the bother of uploading it. Yamashita. He'll arrange things and then nobody else can play it but him. And even sometimes not even himself now that he's older and past his athletic prime. Complete dead-end in terms of playing school. His daughter is great but nowhere near his peak abilities during his 20s and early 30s. A one-off legend.
Nobody lol. Nobody can play his arrangements although this isn't even amongst his harder pieces. Frankly, Yamashita in his 20s will probably be achieved again by anyone again. Frankly, I wish he came onto the scene later in the digital age where we can have better recordings of his prime, and where there is more communication to really take everything he had to offer. An absolute insane man. Although Kazuhito is still alive, he is a lot more mature now and does not really perform in this manner either due to injury or age-related decrease in athleticism or by choice, we don't know. On top of that, Japan really restricts optimum delivery of this person to the rest of the world.
