Natürlich hatte auch damals nur die gehobene Menschen Klasse die Zeit und Muse dieser göttlichen Inspiration zu folgen. Diese Zeit war zwar menschlicher, das heißt auch grausamer, aber genauso war sie auch vom göttlichen erfüllt . Den wo Gott ist ist Inspiration , es gibt nämlich einen Grund warum diese Musik das Herz der allermeisten Menschen berührt. Heute haben die Menschen Gott weit nach hinten gedrängt oder verleugnen sogar Gott. Wenn die Menschen also ohne Gott sind wie können die Menschen kreativ sein inspiriert . Deswegen ist heute fast alles kalt und lieblos sprich seelenlos. Vor allem in Filmen kann man das feststellen aber auch in der Musik. Liszt was one of Gods finest creations... a God in human form. Thankfully he lived to a decent age, so we could enjoy what he gave to the world for time immemorial. Rest in peace Master Liszt ! Shame you lived too early to be recorded playing yourself.
I don't know why I didn't investigate Liszt much earlier knowing that I definately like classical piano such as Chopin. So, my first play thru and I do recognize some of these and they are all very very great masterpieces. I added this to my (wait for it)... play Liszt :)
One of the special aspects of classical music is the combination of classical instruments and tempo. The feeling when you sit in a live classical music performance is amazing.
A new fan, just subscribed, and am in awe of this clever format. It offers the possibility to learn much about music I have enjoyed for 70 years; without even imagining the detailed degree to which it can observed and more fully appreciated. The challenge will be to learn to read the excellent narrative, written intelligently on the left side of the screen, without drifting away solely into the music. Fortunately, I know enough about the TH-cam commands, that it is easy for these wobbly ol' hands to go back and repeat/reread, without worrying I might scratch the record. There are a couple..Alan Walker at the Library of Congress, called 'In Defense of Transcription..' If course Alan Walkers trilogy on Liszt. Alan Walker also was interviewed by David Dubal in 1986 I believe it was, after Walkers first book, The Virtuoso Years. Also Leslie Howard on Liszt. There was one I had that for some reason unbeknown it was deleted. It was called il Grande Virtuoso. There are many other bios on Liszt if you search...
This video was very well composed. The accompanying story/art shines insight into the inspiration behind Liszt's creativity and his character. It affords a deeper appreciation of his unique and moving poetic way of expressing what he truly loved in his life. He was "the rock-star" musical 'Impressionist' of his time, an innovative pioneer for solo-piano performances. He admirably strove to perfect his own piano skills all his life as well as transform his colleagues' works into worldly piano masterpieces. Bravo Liszt, remembered by many future generations!

You have to remember that the modern composer does not have the time or money to create such masterpiece anymore. When this was compared you could take five years to complete a song, now you have to do it in five months.

Is there a biography of Liszt you would recommend? I would like to learn more about this great composer. This music grows more beautiful with every re-listen.
Read Alan Walker's biography of Liszt as well as his "Reflections on Liszt".
There are a couple..Alan Walker at the Library of Congress, called 'In Defense of Transcription..' If course Alan Walkers trilogy on Liszt. Alan Walker also was interviewed by David Dubal in 1986 I believe it was, after Walkers first book, The Virtuoso Years. Also Leslie Howard on Liszt. There was one I had that for some reason unbeknown it was deleted. It was called il Grande Virtuoso. There are many other bios on Liszt if you search...

It affords a deeper appreciation of his unique and moving poetic way of expressing what he truly loved in his life. He was "the rock-star" musical 'Impressionist' of his time, an innovative pioneer for solo-piano performances. He admirably strove to perfect his own piano skills all his life as well as transform his colleagues' works into worldly piano masterpieces. Bravo Liszt, remembered by many future generations!

Que música divina. Quando Liszt escreveu estas músicas ele estava muito inspirado. Hoje em dia é muito difícil ouvirmos música tão linda e elaborada. Parece que os compositores perderam está visão e habilidade hoje em dia. Meus parabéns às pessoas que nos dão estas maravilhas.
You have to remember that the modern composer does not have the time or money to create such masterpiece anymore. When this was compared you could take five years to complete a song, now you have to do it in five months.
