      +SunriseInTheMidwest thanks. Indoors in the studio with my producer and also using his A7s and wireless lav mic system. I don't always have access to this equipment so that's why sometimes my audio is not so great.

      +bigheadtaco I've always found your outdoor video quality (w/ the Ricoh GR) great. While I personally don't own one yet, the SmartLav+ is supposed to be mic that punches well above its price range. There are also a few that are cheaper than it that do well. And they can easily connect and record to your iPhone.

    This is a really, REALLY good review. It hits all the points that a PHOTOGRAPHER needs, not a spec geek. I am somewhat late to the digital realm (still love my OMs, my Oly 35SP and Chamonix 4x5,) but recently acquired an X-Pro1. It is still capable perhaps beyond my current vision, but I can see the utility of the X-Pro2 improvements.
    Thanks - when next I am in Van I will have to buy you a thank you drink ... as long as Tom A is also invited! :)

    Great video. One comment I would have regarding the lack of need for a shutter speed dial on modern cameras... I actually use this all the time for street photography or photographing candid shots of family etc, especially in low light. I would set the speed I need to stop the motion, eg for people talking and moving slowly I'd set 1/125, for people walking or moving faster I'd set 1/250. That way you can set your ISO as low as possible to achieve a given speed and aperture combination. I shoot street photography with a film Leica also which is obviously fully manual and I always use this type of 'mental shutter priority' all the time. Cheers

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Richard Harmer thanks for your comment. Much appreciated. It's best to at least understand how to shoot manually and the relationship between ISO, shutter speed and aperture. This is why I discourage auto ISO, as you have no idea what the camera is deciding on your behalf.... I don't trust computers :-)

    Interesting you pointed out X-Pro1 screen resolution being higher than any other X-camera before the X-Pro2. Per the specs you are right, but owning both the X-Pro1 and X-T1, the X-T1 screen is much sharper. I wonder what that is about.

    Hi Take,
    Thanks for the first impressions. I'm wondering if you've had a chance to use M-mount or other manual focus lenses on it? If so, how does it work and feel? I am particularly curious how a mechanical focus lens works with the OVF + mini EVF overlay.

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +James Lai I have not used the m-mount adapter on any X series lens. I don't like losing the intended focal length due to the crop factor. However, perhaps I will give it a try just to see the results. Thanks for the suggestion!

    Thanks for the video BHT,always enjoyable.
    I priced the X-Pro2 here in Australia,$2699AUD seems to be the going rate.
    To put that into some perspective the Canon 6D is $1700AUD,$1000 difference is OTT in my opinion..
    Fuji sure don`t want me to update my XE-1 to the X-Pro2.

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Phil G yes spec for spec the X series has always been more expensive, even compared to the Sony mirrorless cameras. However, there are some unique features that the Canon does not offer and it would be hard to put a price on those features. But you're right, it is expensive...

    thank you for your video. Yeserday I jumped in fuji world. I got a Fuji Xpro2 and now I'm studying this fantastic camera. I have a question: can I control shutter speed and aperture from rear and front dials if my lens has aperture ring (xf 16-55 2.8)? I can control S.S. selecting T on top S.S. dial but what about aperture? Thank you

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are using an XF lens, you can not manually override the lens aperture by using the front or rear control dials. For shutter speed, the dial is only in full stops. By using the dials, you can get 1/3 stops, but you again can not override the master dial. This makes sense because you do not want conflicting information. If your aperture dial says f/5.6, it better be. If your shutter speed dial says 1/250th, it better be (or at least within 2/3 of a stop above or below).

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +pat dinco full frame is great if you need it. I suspect most don't need it, they just want it. With the new 24mp sensor and processor, this camera can keep up with many full frame sensors in terms of resolution, sharpness and noise control. Stay tuned for a full review soon.

    • @patdinco
      @patdinco 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +bigheadtaco thanks for the reply! I feel like camera culture has made it seem fullframe is the only option in moving forward. I'm looking forward to the review especially at high ISO past 6400

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      pat dinco I come from the film era where most cameras took regular 35mm film so they were all full frame. During that time, all the nerds were saying that full-frame wasn't a real camera and that only real photographers shoot medium format. Even the term 'full-frame' really is a misleading. The sensor size is equivalent to what a 35mm film (24mm x 36mm) was back in the film day. It became the holy grail of sensors because it took years before manufacturers could make them this size for the masses.

    Great review Take! Although I have to disagree about the shutter dial, I use it (shutter priority mode) quite a bit when I am after a certain amount of motion blur (I usually usually switch between 125, 60, and 30). Glad they found a way to keep us both happy. Going to start saving up now for an x-pro2 and a 35 f/2, they look and sound awesome!

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Andrew Ho I know there are definitely photographers who do use the shutter speed dial for shutter priority. I was just saying that the majority of photographers don't use it, for better or for worse. But yes keeping both is the best option. Yes the X-Pro 2 and XF35mm WR is a great combo. If they make a brand new 23mm f/2WR then I would be even happier!

    • @ScottWilliamsphotographer
      @ScottWilliamsphotographer 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +bigheadtaco how are you adjusting shutter speed then?

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Scott Williams many photographers are more concerned about the depth of field, and will allow the shutter to be where ever it has to be to get the image. For instance, if I want an image with a decent depth of field, I'll shoot at f/8.0. I don't really care if the shutter speed is 1/250th or 1/2000. It doesn't affect what I'm trying to do. However, as you mentioned, if you're trying to create motion blur, or taking pictures of moving water or things like that, the shutter speed is very very important. It really depends in the style of photography you are into. I'm primarily a street photography, although I come across photographers of all types. I was just making a general statement that most whom I come across do not use the shutter speed dial or even shoot in shutter speed priority. I hope I'm understanding the question? Thanks again for your comment.

    • @ScottWilliamsphotographer
      @ScottWilliamsphotographer 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +bigheadtaco So you just shoot on A all the time?

    • @andrewtheho
      @andrewtheho 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scott Williams I can't speak for bigheadtaco , but personally for street photography without flash, I use as much automation as the camera gets me. If it's my TLR then or Minolta SRT super, it's full manual. If it's my Canonet QL17 it's shutter priority. For digital Fujifilm I mostly use P mode (A for aperture and A for shutter), as P mode typically gives me good depth of field, and enough shutter speed to freeze motion. When I shoot street, 80% of the time that's what I want, and that's how the camera is set up. If I want some motion blur, I will then turn the shutter dial to 1/125 or 1/60th and leave the aperture ring on A.
      If I'm shooting with flash (street or otherwise) I usually use full manual as it's a lot easier for me than TTL. If I'm shooting landscape, or on a tripod, I usually like full manual or Aperture priority. If I'm shooting portraiture without a flash, I usually like aperture priority. It all depends on the situation you're in and how you can make the camera work for you. Hope that helps.

    I barely use the shutter speed dial on my X-E2, probably because I shoot mainly in aperture priority. And I've never used the exposure compensation dial either. In fact I've never used EC while shooting at all! I prefer to do all that in post...but like you said they look nice.

  • @RogerHyam
    @RogerHyam 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi,
    Thanks for the video. Really liked it.
    I have gone X-Pro1 to X-T1 and I'm really in two minds about the X-Pro2 because of what I call the bright frame dance. With the OVF on X-Pro1 you focus and the frame moves to correct for the parallax and the exposure point does too! So for closer shots - like portraits - I'm never quite sure what I focussed on. Even in manual focus the frame only moves when the shutter is half pressed on my X-Pro1 - even though the camera knows I'm focusing close. I presume older mechanical rangefinders the frame would just move with the lens.
    There are many other things I like with the OVF for more distance subjects over about 4m away.
    Could you tell me. Does the X-Pro2 handle this better? At least if you manually focus does the parallax correction move as you turn the lens or only when you half press the shutter? Does it even remember the last focus distance and only move the frame back when you re-focus - which would be a good solution. If it doesn't do these then maybe I'll hang around for the X-T2.
    Many thanks for you thoughts.
    Roger

    • @RogerHyam
      @RogerHyam 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Answering my own question: So I went in our local branch of John Lewis where they sell X100T's. I've never held one before. By using the digital range finder it more or less overcomes the issues I describe. You can see what the focus point is but it may not be the one with the focus square round it as you get closer. This is reminiscent of the pre-M Leicas where you had two little windows. You eye flicks down to the bottom right to confirm focus and exposure on the point. I'm converted - I think.

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Roger Hyam thanks for answering your own question ha ha! Yes it's great to actually play with the focusing yourself to see if it's accurate enough for your needs. I really like it myself, although some may not. The X-Pro 2's OVF is improved over the X100T and the EVF is superior in every way.

    One question: How about "focus by wire". If I understand all lenses that fits to this camera are type fbw. But what is the feeling when doing precise manual focusing. I have Fuji X100 (first one) and I really can't get the nice manual focusing feeling when the motor pumps the lense with steps. Is this now made better.

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Harri Väyrynen the focus by wire has been improved since the original X100, but it still has that weird feeling if you're use to using actual mechanical focusing lenses. The interchangeable lens system of the X series is definitely better than the X100 series though, and the dedicated focus lenses (XF14, XF16, XF23, there may be more) feels more natural. I want Fujifilm to make a 'classic' manual focus only lens line-up with mechanical focus, 18, 23 and 35mm. Thanks for your comment

    How would you compare the handling to the X-T1? I'm on the fence about which one to buy. The xp1 grip was truly nonexistent. Also the lack of a tilting screen is a big loss. Thank you

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Dave Scaringe the X-T1 handles like a DSLR so the grip is more substantial and has a better handling feel. The X-Pro 2 is probably a quicker camera to adjust many features, but doesn't feel as tight in the hand.

    Loved this video so much, I was rewatching your video again and noticed towards the end (22:45) where you demonstrate the bright frame lines preview feature, there's a 32mm.
    There's been talks about this on Fujirumors site recently and somebody else had 33mm (see www.fujirumors.com/proof-of-xf-33mmf1-0-fuji-x-pro2-framelines-preview-shows-33-prototypes-already-out-for-testing/) interesting another review with a pre-production sample has slightly different set of frame line preview.
    Either way, the word is this could be an indication of the plans for Fuji to produce a 33mm f1.0! Would be cool if this means it's happening and will be out possibly sooner than expected.. maybe by year's end?
    I still agree with you, they should make more compact lenses of their current line up and add weather sealing while they're at it.. I say the 18mm f2 should be revamped and a 23mm f2.. some core standard lenses.
    I like this excerpt from this interview (www.dpreview.com/interviews/6258617860/fujifilm-interview-jan-2016) with Fuji execs about the X-Pro2...
    "The X-Pro2 clearly replaces the X-Pro1 but is it the new flagship? Or does it sit alongside the X-T1?
    Toru Takahashi (TT): We have two flagships. The X-T1 and the X-Pro2. [Even after] the launch of the X-T1 the X-Pro1 still had a function. We have two different kinds of photographers to cater for."
    No need to fight for which is Fuji's flagship camera, X-T or X-Pro.. they both are!
    ...and talking about more compact lenses...
    "Where are the remaining gaps in the X-series lens lineup?
    TT: Customers are requesting more compact lenses. Our 35mm F2 is one example. So we may need to supplement this lens [with others of this kind]."
    Hopefully this draws a line back to thoughts and hopes for similar compact & weather sealed lenses like the 35mm f2 in other current focal range offerings such as the 23mm & 18mm.

    I was expecting a formidable upgrade from the XPro1, especially with such a stop-gap involved (being able to handle longer primes, a more versed AF, and lil' more general snappiness). But certainly didn't expect how much a retooling has taken place (weathersealing, adj. diopter, ISO dial). Look forward to seeing more handsy exp + shots (very excited to see this Acros film in action). Likely will get my hands on one, but will hold off the initial GAS madness over it.
    Speculation Q: With both the Fujifilm SLR/RF flagships officially being weather sealed, do you see it being possible, that the X100 family may see a weathered sealed iteration debuted?
    With your current shooting exp. (I know its a pre-prod. build). it using the same 126 battery, as with other larger X-Bodies AND XPro1 - have you seen similar battery usage rating, or it being more efficient?
    Now I saw a image layering, identifying the fujifilm prime brightlines, to the OVF view (from 90mm down), and happen to not see a marker for WA / UWA lenses (stopped at 18mm). Is that a goof? Or would a firmware jolt be needed, to reID them back into lineup?

    Great video as usual Take-san!
    I have an X100T and an X-T1. I am now pondering selling my X-T1 to get this jewel. Any thoughts? Does it make any sense? I mostly do street and landscape photography as an enthusiastic amateur (got a few pictures selected by the local Japanese fuji contests) but i am far from being a pro... The new B&W simulation and grain simulation seem quite attractive

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Eric T I would argue that 16mp is still a decent resolution for most photographers. The X-T1 will probably get a firmware update that will allow for the extra features such as ACROS and grain so I wouldn't worry. The 24mp sensor will probably be implemented into the replacement of the X100T first and then perhaps the X-T1 after, but we're talking months away. I usually recommend people to wait a few months and let the dust settle before making any major equipment changes or upgrades. The EVF on the X-Pro 2 amazing though, although it is smaller than the X-T1. Either way, don't upgrade just for the pixels, unless you need a camera that has full frame equivalent resolution...

      +bigheadtaco thanks a lot for your reply! I totally agree with you on pixel counts, it is not a factor for me. I was particularly interested in low light performance since I tend to shoot in the evening/night with no tripod. If ISO performance is much better, if might be worth the investment? Will wait for your full review in any case :)

      Eric T I can not comment on lowlight performance because its a pre-production model and I don't have access to the RAW data files to view. Wait until more of us reviewers get a production copy and we will report again in a couple of weeks. Thanks!

    Would you think getting xt1 with 56mm is better or invest in Olympus Pen F series. Is the Olympus lens reliable? Or can it produce better portrait shots than Fuji lens? What about image quality? Pen F is it comparable to xt1 or is it better? Price wise, body of pen F is more expensive than Fuji xt1. Which should I invest in ?

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because the sensor is larger on the Fujifilm X-T1 versus the Olympus Pen F, yes it should have better IQ and resolution. Fujifilm has great lenses, but so does the M43 system. Plus once you can afford it, you can upgrade to the newer X-T2 with the higher res 24mp sensor.

    • @hsienfromspace
      @hsienfromspace 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      bigheadtaco Another Question, If Fuji XE2S, XE2 and XT1 share the same sensor and megapixel does it mean all the image quality between those cameras is the same? assuming shooting the 56mm on all three cameras will the image quality will be the same? If that is so, would it be better to get a cheap body with prime lenses (56mm. 35mm) ? Between XE2S and XT1 what is the advantage of XT1 other than image quality if they both produce the same image quality? I think i should not get the pen F anymore too expensive for body only and it just seems like its not a serious camera although the M.Zuiko lens is more affordable than fuji primes I still think bokeh wise fuji lens produce better results than M.Zuiko. What do u think?

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Basically, except for the X-E2 has some small things different, like max ISO. However, all things being equal, same sensor, same processor, same lens will produce the same image

    Have you ever used Fujifilm's EF-42 TTL flash? Thanks.

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +asanmartinjr07 no I haven't, not because I don't think its a good flash, but I already own quite a few good flashes. Because I don't use TTL, I don't really care about matching the flash to the camera. The only flash I use by Fujifilm is the EF-X20 because of its compact size. I use that flash on pretty much any camera I'm reviewing because it's so small and because of the manual control dial.

    That is one sexy camera. How is the 35mm equivalent lens in terms of sharpness? I use an OMD EM5 with a 17mm, and I'm at 60% of its shutter life. I'm getting a Sony a7Rii as my main camera, but how would this fair as my new backup camera?

    • @bob505470
      @bob505470 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +GaryDX25 that would mainly be a factor of the quality of the lens, but for reference i have been using manual minolta lenses on my x pro1 for a while and get excellent sharpness to the point where the resolution of the sensor is less than the resolving power of the lens

    • @5nanometers
      @5nanometers 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** That is why I was asking about the 35mm equivalent lens on the Fuji system. And that's nice. I have an old Minolta 50mm f1.7 on my OMD, but it's very soft. Some people call the 50mm f1.7 the "dream lens". haha

      funny, i have actually been using that same lens on my x pro 1! It is decently sharp at 1.7 and gets really good at 2.8 and f4. I could see how the sharpness could take a hit on a 2x crop camera like the mft omd. Heres a shot taken with that lens on my x pro 1 at 1.7 to give you and ide of how it looks on an aps-c camera. Hope the link works.

      +GaryDX25 the new XF 35mm f/2 WR lens is very very sharp from centre to edge. Light falloff is decent wide open and is very even by f/4. This lens on the X-Pro 2 works out to a 52.5mm equivalent on a full frame camera.

    If filters have to be mounted on the lens hood (like on my old X10), why does the lens hood still have open gaps allowing dust to enter the lens and both sides of the filter? (Which is very annoying.)

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Torgeir Molaug the optional 'vented' lens hood is designed for rangefinder cameras that allow you to see through the hood when it encroaches into your field of view. It's more style than function since the new XF35mm WR's 50mm equivalent framelines are well beyond the edges of the optional LH-35-2 lens hood. The hood does shade and protect the front lens element, but it is not designed to keep dust away from filters. This vented style hood works better with wider lenses where the hood does get in the way of viewing through an optical viewfinder, which in the case of Fujifilm ILCs, will only affect the X-Pro 1 and X-Pro 2.

    • @torgeirmolaug196
      @torgeirmolaug196 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +bigheadtaco Thanks! Is it possible to mount a filter directly on the X-Pro 2 without having to use a vented lens hood?

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Torgeir Molaug the vented lens hood is attached to the XF35mm f/2 WR only, it has nothing to do with the X-Pro 2 camera. So yes you can attach any filter to any lens (basically) without the hood being in the way. All Fujifilm lenses have a filter thread on the front, so as long as the filter thread size matches, the filter will fit.

    • @torgeirmolaug196
      @torgeirmolaug196 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +bigheadtaco Thanks once again! When I bought the X10 I was told that I had to buy the vented lens hood since the filter thread was only 3 cm. and there was no filters that size. Anyway, looking forward to the arrival of X-Pro 2 in Norway.

    Most people will belittle my next comment but my ideal digital camera is one that operated just as a traditional film camera with a meter and full manual control of shutter, iris and focus BUT can instantly be put into an auto mode for a quick shot.

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +northstar1950 you can pretty much do that with the Fujifilm X-T10 as it has an auto switch on the top which bypasses most functions when switched on. You can easily use the top shutter dial and the aperture ring and manually focus as you want. I know it's not exactly what you're describing but it's reasonably close. Thanks for focusing on how you would like to shoot, not on what new gadget or technological feature that's needed to take 'better' pictures.

    Hi, I do not speak english very well and I didn't understand the part where you speak about the shutter speed dial ... Can you summarize? Thanks

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +BrunoApple94 basically I felt that the shutter speed dial on the top would be better as another feature such as ISO. Some misunderstood as me saying that there should be no shutter speed control. For many styles of photography, controlling shutter speed is the priority. In this case, a SLR style front dial control of the shutter speed would be practical and functional. As for having it as a dedicated top dial, I felt this was an older design from the film era that looks cool, but I wanted that extra dial on the top to be something more useful. It could even be a customizable dial, set to whatever the user wanted. Fujifilm did an awesome job in integrating the ISO and shutter speed control into the same dial.

    After having an X-E1 and an X-T1 GS, including my personal XF lens ammo (10-24, 14, 27, 35, 18-55, 18-135, 50-140, 1.4X and MCEX11) my doubt doesn't come to an end. Here it is: FUJI X-PRO 2, in order to keep on using those lenses (though I keep owning X-E1 and X-T1 GS) or..., A SWITCH TO LEICA Q? Am I going to enjoy the full frame sensor so much vs this brand new one in theX-PRO2? I'll use it as street photography (as I use now the X-E1 + XF 27mm)...
    Help meeee!!!

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Gus Leica Q is a very different type of camera versus the X series cameras with interchangeable lenses. The Leica Q is great but very limited with only a single focal length. It looks like you like having a nice range of lenses, and the XF 27mm lens in full frame translates to about a 40mm, versus the Leica Q's 28mm. That's a huge difference.

    • @gus5084
      @gus5084 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +bigheadtaco A huge difference, I agree. Maybe there's an option fighting X-PRO2 + 23 F1.4 vs Leica Q..., PROS: no single focal length limitation..., CONS: not a FF sensor... On my X-pro2 with 35mm f2 lens (only one I tested) there's a one click difference on the diopter between the EVF and OVF. Fuji says they are aware and this is normal. $1700? REALLY? This is something they could calibrate with firmware (body or lens) but they say they'll won't look into it unless they get a lot of complaints. Check yours. If you have the issue let's accommodate them with a campaign to Fuji Support. This needs to be fixed!

      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MarcS4R if anything, Fuji will probably skip full frame and create a medium format camera instead. Fujifilm created beautiful medium format lenses and film cameras in the past and it would be great to see them create one that will be reasonably priced. The whole idea behind the X series is to create a compact systems camera without the bulk and price of full frame. If you look at the sensor versus the diameter of the mount, there is no room for a full frame sensor.

    • @MarcS4R
      @MarcS4R 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      bigheadtaco would be great to see them doing medium format. i just bought a Pentax 645d and i am slowly getting into this, it is a whole new world to discover for sure.

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      MarcS4R espeically if Fujifilm recreates their medium format mount and then use legacy lenses from the past. Fujfilm was the first to create an AF point and shoot medium format with the GA645 in the film days and so they are all about innovation. I can see Fujifilm creating unique medium format cameras that will blow our minds in terms of IQ, design and technology.

    Isn't anyone else bugged by the angle dip on the dial deck? Makes the whole otherwise beautiful and functional design look...well..."dippy." The whole thing looks like a wedge even though it's an optical illusion. Why does a Leica M10 or even Fuji's own X100F look more serious? No dippy non-functional design "flares," with no function. I've tried to leave a comment for Jun Sato but there's no way to contact him. Fuji listens, but apparently only to pros on their list. If anyone else agrees with me please try to get through to Fuji design team before the X-Pro3 design is locked in.

    That really cheap looking plastic-y faux leather though... they seem gutless now when it comes to design changes. It's not like the xpro-1 was perfect, so they should have refined the xpro-2 more in my opinion, lots of small weird issues with it aesthetically.

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tj Holowaychuk I find many top of the line cameras ugly although functional, like the new Leica SL. The faux wrap is more rubber like and grippy like the X-T1 and is very functional, but you're right, not very sexy. I also had an issue with the viewfinder switch. The X100 series is upside down compared to the X-Pro series, which feels more natural when switching, although more awkward visually. I'll talk more about the ergonomics on my full review in a few weeks. Thanks for your comment

    • @bigheadtaco
      @bigheadtaco  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +brianminkc I was talking about getting rid of the design of having a top panel shutter speed dial, not to get rid of the ability to adjust shutter speed. I felt the ability to adjust the ISO was more important to most photographers. Reviews are about opinions I hope, not just a list of features and functions. You don't have to agree, but do so respectfully. I've been shooting for over 20 years, a decade working at Kodak, and I have worked as a commercial, sports and wedding photographer for many years. I also work very closely with camera stores, manufacturers and many working professionals from studio, wedding, commercial and photojournalists. Many of my opinions are based on my own personal experience and speaking with working professionals.
      I'm sorry you don't agree, but if you don't agree, please leave a polite but firm argument, not just throwing out insults. There are many great reviewers and many hard working creators that put themselves out there to create free content. TH-cam actually flagged your comment and threw it in my spam bin if you don't feel your tone is considered bullying by TH-cam. I delete and block hostile comments all the time without a second look. Trolls and negative comments don't bother me at all. I answered yours because you were sarcastic but not cruel. I hope you will respond back in kind.

      +bigheadtaco sorry maybe I misunderstood you ... I thought you wanted to get rid of shutter priority mode. I shoot sports and I shoot shutter priority 90% of the time. I suppose with that type of camera you do not shoot many sporting events. Everyone has there own particular needs.
