  • On this episode of How to Drink, it is the final episode of our Tiki series so I decided to make a Scorpion Bowl. This shareable bowl version is the Trader Vic's version and it’s fantastic. It is filled with Rum, Gin, and Brandy and though those three together may sound bad, they are most certainly not! Thanks to the balancing nature of the syrups and juices we’re using here this drink manages to taste exotic and sweet. So grab some friends to share this masterpiece with and enjoy! Cheers!
    Scorpion Bowl Ingredients:
    - 2 oz or 60 ml Lime Juice
    - 4 oz or 120 ml Orange Juice
    - 1.5 oz or 45 ml Demerara Syrup
    - 2 oz or 60 ml Orgeat
    - 2 oz or 60 ml Brandy
    - 4 oz or 120 ml London Dry Gin
    - 4 oz or 120 ml Aged Rum
    - Shake over Crushed Ice
    - Garnish with Grated Nutmeg
    - Share with Friends

We have a camera operator and an assistant camera who pulls focus, a gaffer who rigs our lights at the camera-op/cinematographers direction. Sound has sadly thus far been direct into camera. Then there’s me, and there’s a pa who helps me have glasses and such ready for camera.

Greg! Seriously I love what you do, but I have to come out and admit something.... I can't make the drinks you make - cue the internal wail of my ever weary soul!!!
Truly I have wanted to, and you are an expert at describing what you make and how we can. I feel like I have everything I need except for the ingredients... and so HERE IS MY PLEA:
Can you please make a video explaining what is required for the essential home bar??!?
I feel like every time a new drink comes out I'm equally filled with rapture and sadness as I realize the incredible looking drinks I observe require yet another ingredient I don't have.
So this is my quandary, as a loyal aficionado of your channel I leave myself at your mercy!

Now if your experimenting then go ahead and experiment, just dont call a recipe bad because you didn't follow it the way it was intended XD

How To Drink oh ic. Whenever I ordered them, which isn’t that often, I would drink the whole thing. Didn’t know they were meant to be shared.

I'm rather sad you're stopping your TIki drinks for the summer!
I discovered this goofy world when I got the Smuggler's Cove book back in April, and I'm now a firm disciple of the ways of Tiki......even if I've never had one of these drinks. Since the summer technically ends next month, I'm surprised you're stopping now. Regardless, I love your show, and I look forward to what you make next!

We shot all these episodes over the course of a weekend and there was just only so many episodes we could cram into the schedule, I definitely want to do more in the realm of Tiki, I just don't have the content at the moment.
Love the Smuggler's Cove book though, easily one of my favorites.

Hey, I think that you should do a video that shows everyone what they would need to get started making cocktails and a few pointers to help them get started.
Also keep up the good work I love watching your videos😄

I would love for him to go through all the brands they use on the show, just to get an idea of new stuff to try
