For anyone curious, I have been using premiere pro for 15 years and Davinci for about 5 year. I’m using caput for the fun of it and want to see what it has to offer. I have premiere and Davinci burnout haha
I’ve been using Premiere Pro for 13 years, and transitioning to DaVinci has been challenging, especially with the new interface, Fusion tab in particular. 😂 Also, low-key not a fan of CapCut. 👀
Davinci Resolve's free version is excellent and has more than enough tools available. Only the more niche stuff like text based editing, resolution greater than 4k exports and AI features like voice isolation and noise reduction are behind the paywall.
Love the set up. I typically use my Sony A7SIII as my main camera. The Sony cameras do such a good job with everything. Great choice going with the Sony A7IV.
When you use the mounting plate for the battery, does it help shift the weight to make it easier to handle? Do you have any frustrations working with Sony gear?
It does! It actually makes it pretty balanced. Maybe a bit more weight in the back but it’s not bad. And this camera in particular had an over heating issue when i got it, but sony fixed that and havent had any other noticeable issues :)
I used Premiere, then went on Final Cut Pro and now im on capcut. Premiere is unstable and expensive and some features get lost and hard to do right away. Final Cut Pro is easy to use but it rarely gets updated so Cap Cut got way above it with the AI and how easy it is to get things done. I also colorgrade in Cap Cut (you cad do adjustment layers, isolate the skin tones and so on
Love your content! All my videos are edited on Capcut. Love it! Have you incorporated drones into your Photography? Keep the great content coming. You have a new sub!
Bruh why are you swapping Premiere for freakin CapCut? I don't wanna defend Adobe but CAPCUT?! Why not trying Resolve as it is way more industry standard?
Capcut runs smoother not complicated only $10.00 a month could get away with the free version is definitely capable and up there it has alot of shortcuts making work flow faster
As for the rig, its nice, but you shouldnt have that big flag on top blocking half the mic's pickup pattern. Funny thing I had my big shoot yesterday actually and I straight up dropped the lav mic on the ground going to mic someone. It was a funny moment so I enjoyed the little ahh moment you left in when you dropped the rode mic lol. As for editing, I learned on tape ( old and poor, old like 35, lol). and then I learned final cut and Avid, then I learned adobe and sony vegas, so at this point I can just use whatever. But I really do prefer that pricey adobe lol.
@@LyssaGsep I went a different direction though, I do primarily still, though I do have a TH-cam channel I regard myself more as a still photographer, but I wanted really good video capabilities so I went with a Sony A7RV + Sony 70-200 F2.8GM2 + Sony 24MM F1.4GM + Sony 12-24F2.8 GM... then I also had a non full frame sony that I keep in the car with me and said screw it, and upgraded that to a Sony A7III

Hehe soon!!
So cool to see your setup and process, Lyssa! Looks great, keep it up :)
I'm so glad you liked it! 😄
this rig is awsome
What does a matt box do? Also, what is that ring on the lens for? So the ND filters fit?
Nice setup, Lyssa, and thanks for taking us along.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Capcut is extremely under appreciated, love the video
Glad you think so!
Love your work, just keep it up 😎🤙🏽

This is awesome and I totally feel this. Capcut just feels really relaxed and fun. Premiere was so ridiculously expensive over time

Hey welcome! And yes!! I have a lot if drone videos/colorgrades on insta. Like taking it out when i travel :)

Keep going! I love tools like CapCut that make creating fun and easy.

Great Video!
Keep up the awesome content :)
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!
Doing what you're doing is very exciting!
Give final cut a shot. 1 time payment like Da Vinci. Premiere sucks from a sustainable standpoint. Good luck on your journey. Cheers!
nice compact setup. i also put on my top handle that way, didnt know it was a bad thing 😅
Hahah it feels safer 🤭
have you tried slog 3 ? and colorgrading in davinci?
Yep! Used to do that often.
And tbh that’s the best program for all log profiles 😁
do you film in s log then colour grade in capcut?
I usually film in slog but I usually use premiere pro. This was a special occasion where i didnt. Not sure how the grading would go in CC with log
Love you!
Subbed because I'm expecting great things. Wishing you all the best!
@@2YLITE22 omg thank you for the support! 🥹
Capcut has that color grading wheel you can use. It could help a bit lol
free stuff from brand deals is the best isnt it 😂😂 im new to video so I subbed to see your journey

Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for the support! 🙏
👏👏❤️
@@filmmakerchris hehe that was fast 🤍
I would recommend a shure twinplex lav! Instead of dji
I like lavs too but this is easy for me because im filming on the osmo pocket and it pairs instantly 😁
And thank you btw!! Will check it out!
Much did the camera cost
In 2022 it was about 3.5k
@@LyssaGsep it's ok if u can afford that or have someone to give you the money but it's very expensive 🫰
isn't it quite heavy rig for work? how do you manage to work with such a heavy rig?????
@@DipeshVanvi it can be but I’m used to it by now. 😁
@@LyssaGsep OMG that is true🤣
*subbed* much love from Vancouver Canada ❤
Thanks for the love! So happy to have you here. 😄
Wow is it heavy and do people look at you filming in public or it’s manageable
It’s not that bad tbh. But yeah people always ask how I can carry that haha
nice rig!
Thank you! 😁
What lense are you using?
This is the Sony Gmaster 24-70 but i but my all time fav lens is the Sony zeiss 55mm :) thats what i used to film the netherlands footage.
Saludos desde Mexico.
Recomendación: yo me mude de premiere pro a davinci resolve a la version gratuita y me funciona de maravilla
Hi there!!! Free DaVinci is pretty great! I really need to use it more like you do

100 % the audio is muffled and not the best !.. but interested in what you have to say about your rig.
True. But it sure is easy just popping that dji mic on when it pairs with my osmo pocket
