    I’d prefer a USB-C connection like my Backbone but what I do like is the thickness of the Nomad controller with the actual thumbsticks. If Scuf doesn’t make a USB-C version later on, I hope Backbone takes notes for the next iteration.

      @@rcash3625 that’s fair. Personally, I bought the Backbone early and got a lifetime subscription to their app. I never use it.
      It’s a cool idea for what it is, but I’m not cycling through my mobile games within the app trying to figure out what I wanna play like it’s a console. I’m typically pulling out my Backbone for a purpose.

    It sucks that is only for iPhone but hopefully they will release a version for android. I think a controller like this on something like a pixel fold (or any foldable) would make mobile gaming really something special.

    What is most appealing is the wireless option as the USB-C port can be a slight risk factor over time.

    i'm trying to understand the "lightness" and resistance of the joysticks on the nomad. how would they compare to the dualsense or xbox controller? I definitely do not like the backbone, it's just too small and the joysticks are so poor. I'm leaning towards getting the nomad. I'm just really disappointed there's no usb c port.

    Amazing video :)
    Now I am thinking about buying one for my own. I tested the Backbone already but was very unhappy with it… The thumbsticks felt very inaccurate especially when playing FPS. What is your opinion on aiming with the Nomad?
    And as I am also more a PS Remote guy, would you advice be to buy the nomad or go for the Portal?
    Thank you :)

    • @CoZChristopher
      @CoZChristopher  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you for your kind words! If you’re a PS guy, the Portal will be the better buy for you. The built in screen, the vibration and reactive triggers, the lack of phone notifications when using your mobile phone. I like this a lot, but price aside the Portal for your use would be better.
      Aiming on this is a little better than the Backbone due to the size thumbsticks. You can also adjust the software to change sensitivity and since their full size you can get Kontrol rings to add tension if you’d like. I like the backbone as well, but with the added size and remappable back buttons, this has an edge. But keep in mind it’s Bluetooth so prone to latency and if you’re gonna focus on FPS, backbone although maybe a few less features has a usb-c connection.

    I’ve been playing around with mine for the last day on COD mobile. But I’ve been running into a couple of issues. First, the controller will randomly get super laggy after using it for a little bit. It’ll sometimes fix itself within a minute or so, but other times I need to turn it off and back on. Second, the sticks don’t feel very accurate. I’m not sure if it’s because there’s a slight delay, if it’s because the sticks are so loose, or if it has something to do with the Hall effect sensors. But the sticks on this controller just don’t feel nearly as precise as when I hook up my Xbox controller over the same Bluetooth connection

    • @CoZChristopher
      @CoZChristopher  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      See that's the things I thought about as well with the sticks being so loose! I wish they had more friction and less give. I know it can be adjusted in the software, but the physical feel is a little light for me! I may try adding some "kontrol" stick rings or something.

    • @genevievetaylor
      @genevievetaylor 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CoZChristopher definitely! I thought about adding kontrol stick rings too but it’s a bummer that more money would need to be spent to get the controller feeling the way it’s supposed to. Plus I’m worried it won’t fix the issue😂 if you do end up getting them, let me know how it feels!

      It will connect via bluetooth, but in my tests, the buttons were mapped incorrectly, ie. pushing the right thumbstick triggered what should have been Right Trigger. I think it could be fixed and updated later with a Firmware update as it showed up and paired instantly.
