I've recieved mine yesterday. In the app I don't have the gestures function. I bought because I want to improve and track my sleep. Hate wearing a watch to bed. Works great
Could not believe they sold out so quickly but there will probably be more popping back up over night since people move them in and out of their carts and cancel pre-orders quite often!
Yeah, I couldn't get one either haha. Good thing I had the hands-on time! It'll be a while before I can get one to test for a long-term video. But it looks like you can pre-order from Best Buy still (link in the pinned comment). Who knows when you'll get it, but at least you can pre-order. :)
i can't wait to get mine! i preordered mine in black from the samsung shop app using the Affirm payment option and i hope to get it soon and try it out with my S24 Ultra!!
Great Video. No one has done this much in depth on the new ring! Unfortunately, the black and silver are sold out in the US. Samsung rep I spoke with not sure if and when these colors will be available.
i have samsung s24 ultra and i dont have option of GESTURES on the galaxy ring what should i do ?or is it nor towking with samsung s24 ultra at all about the camera part ??
Thanks for the info, been waiting for your review. Unfortunately it's not available up north yet 😬😤. Can't wait to get one. Have a $175.00 voucher which will expire by then, figures!
Sadly we wouldn't been able to use that 175 on the ring anyways in Canada. I had the code as well and it was broken down to 100 off flip/fold6. 50 off watch 7/ultra. And 25 off buds
The one thing i want to know, is there ever a reason to get this and a smart watch? Does it have features the watches doesnt? Not seen anyone discussing this
The only thing they had left on the Samsung site was the titanium color and even then it said get it by August 7th. Well that will at least give me more time to figure out if I even want one. Lol
Lol, yeah, it looked better in my head. I have a second thumbnail that I'm testing that's just a close up of the ring. I may switch to that one to be more clear.
A Samsung rep I was speaking with at the hands-on event alluded to the ring being able to store data on it without the phone. Like if you went for a walk with just the ring on and no phone, it would continue to track. But I won't know for sure until my pre-order comes in and I can test it.
@@TechisodeTVI highly doubt that the ring can store that much info unless it's using some kinda of coded system that gets decoded once on the phone. I don't really remember it saying how much on-board memory it has but 2 weeks is a lot if data without uploading it But I guess you'll have a "feature" to test for your video on this product Personally I'm curious because I was told that they recommended the INDEX finger 1st then the ring finger and middle finger. I wonder if it doesn't catch the data fully on certain fingers. However $400 for this is out of my price range if I'm trying to convince my spouse that I should get a Fold 6 lol
It looks like the ring has 8MB of memory, which doesn't sound like a lot, but I have a massive excel sheet with thousands of lines of text, hundreds of long equations, etc. and that's only 800KB. If the ring data is just stored in an uncompressed excel file, even just a few MB "should" be enough to store two weeks of data. If they compress it, you should be able to get even more offline storage. I'll find out for sure when my pre-order comes in though :) As for which finger to wear it on, you're correct on the recommendations. And I was specifically told not to get it for the pinky finger since it doesn't track as well there.
Kinda unbelievable they only support those ring sizes. I am waiting for more coverage on how many people with those ring sizes really need sleep apnea features. This is not new, considering the oura ring has the sane issue. I wonder if it's not cost effective or not able to monitor people with extremely small hands or sausage fingers users lol
Ha, yeah, that's why I brought a ring sizer to show the max and min sizes. I don't have big hands and my index finger measured to be a 12 (out of 13). Pretty much anyone who works with their hands for a living will have a hard time finding a size that fits. Though, to be fair, none of my family members or friends who work with their hands wear any extra rings/watches because they'll all get broken/scuffed up at work haha.
@@TechisodeTV Too bad they didn't design their rings for durability. I can only imagine how difficult it is for anyone not to scuff it up I can see it now, a case for my ring lol
The Samsung rep told me the index, middle, or ring fingers are preferred. I was told to avoid the pinky since it's harder for your HR to be tracked from that finger. I'm not sure about the thumb.
I read if you want to use it to snap a picture it should be on your index finger. But as it is I only have to say capture to my flip five to take a picture

I know. I was really hoping that more people would balk at the price. They really need to reduce the price by at least $100
Honestly, I could believe it because so many people don't want to wear a watch to bed. Hopefully, the pre-orders reopen because I need two.

No

no, it sadly doesnt support nfc
Next year maybe! Basically is health unit atm which is great, features should be coming quick hopefully
Crazy that isn't a standard feature. Isn't that what we all would want it most for?
So dumb its not in my country. Do you know if i can buy it from the US store and ship it somewhere else?
Ok i might get it when it's a bit cheaper and is released in my country
The software looks almost exactly like Oura. Did they license it from them?
Is it real gold or real silver?
Still don't understand what it offers better than a smart watch, i believe nothing it has to offer extra
I'm trying to understand what all the hype about these rings is.
