    Do you think it's possible to create fabric labels or faux leather labels (maybe using Kraft-Tex for the faux leather labels) with the Cricut Maker for your knitted, crocheted, or sewn projects? I know you can do it on a regular ink jet printer with fabric, but using the Cricut just seems as if the labels would be more professional looking and it also seems like you would be able to be more creative with your personal design.

      Yes! If it's a PNG, while importing you can use some tools in the software to erase the extra boarder around your design so it will cut around it better. Here is a video showing you how to do it, skip to time 51:30 th-cam.com/video/9MKJOpN9FCs/w-d-xo.html . Enjoy!

    • @MakersGonnaLearn

      No, the machine cannot print and cut, it can just cut. You need an inkjet printer, then you can create a print then cut project where you create a project in Design Space to print, then the Cricut will cut it.

    • @irhapsody2010

      Well if you have the cricut pens, you can technically have the cricut write onto your sticker label paper ... And theres a lot of fonts and designs you can have the cricut draw onto your paper.

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! So if you just want to use regular paper you can use colored 8.5" x 11" paper, but if you're wanting to use printable vinyl or printable sticker paper what you can do is flatten a colored square or circle around your logo and do it that way :) And make sure you use Becca's hack to make them look even better: th-cam.com/video/lp8FO9nittA/w-d-xo.html

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would make your label however you like in Design Space with your different sizes and then you can duplicate in design space to print then cut may or you can click make it on one and then on the left side of your screen you can see "project copies" where you can select to print then cut more

    • @MakersGonnaLearn

      If you have clear paper, it will be clear, if you have white paper, it will be white. Depends on what you're placing the decals on. Clear labels always need a light colored background, but white labels can be placed on dark objects and still be clearly seen.

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sam, that black outline is a part of Cricut Print Then Cut. They're registration marks that are supposed to be there :) Your Cricut will scan those marks in order to cut your image properly.

    • @Sam-iu5po
      @Sam-iu5po 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Makers Gonna Learn thanks for the reply, but i see she has no red outline in the preview map. Mine has the grid exactly like the map and then theres a red outline about 5mm out of the black grid because of this, i am not able to put text right against the first box like shown in the video.

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Sam-iu5po Oh, I see what you're saying now. So whenever you have a thin red line on the preview mat that means you are overlapping and/or placing something on the mat where it cannot go.

  • @debraquantmeyer7483

    I wonder how to make a label that has a printed shape around it. I thought the black square was going to be the outside of the label. I guess this is something I will play with today in my Cricut Design Space, oh and it appears I need a pen! LOL

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The black box is registration marks the machine uses to scan the image in order to cut it properly :) If you want to add your own black square, do so in Design Space and flatten it. Also, you only need a pen for 1 of the ways we created a label here!
